Classic! He had a unique voice and he was my older sisters favorite. God rest her soul. I haven't heard this song in a long time but it brought back fond memories of my big sister..she was 14 years older. Thank you guys for making my day! Written by the great Van Morrison. Many just hear a beautiful love song, but it was written as a prayer. Great either way you choose to interpret it. And while Rod's version is great, I prefer Van's original. And yes, when it came out, it was used as a wedding song quite a lot.
