What a great surprise from you to make a reaction video to my new favorite (symphonic) progressive metal band from Israel with stellar musicians and a vocal beast Noa Gruman, who: 1. makes her own stage outfits 2. writes the lyrics & co-composes the songs with her friend Orr Didi, who just recently replaced the original bassist of the band 3. has served her two year military service with the Israeli armed forces 4. conducts the Hellscore choir that has performed with bands like e.g. Therion, Ayreon & Amorphis 5. is a classically trained pianist & cellist, although she doesn't play these instruments with Scardust 6. has also been working with the Israeli opera as 1st soprano 7. worked on her extreme vocals with Floor Jansen for two years online and has over an octave wider range (i.e. 4,5 octaves) than Floor. P.S. Noa also co-produced and edited this music video.
Bless you for this reaction! The story of Patty and Noa's friendship is wholesome and tells like a fairy tale, in many ways. This video and Patty's travel here was 2 years in delay, due to many hardships. But this dream came true. She is a family and a blessing, an incredible human being and as Noa describe, revolutionary in her innovation of the Gurdy. Noa's choir is Hellscore, who are also renowned.
Thank you Chris for sponsoring this reaction. I've been having some of my friend reactors do this amazing piece. They wrote it for Patty. Through Patty I found Scardust. Been trying to push their stuff out because how can you not be inspired! Now, I'm giving my support to 3 bands. After pledging my support I got a link to their Scardust and Patty Gurdy Isreal concert. So damn good. They went through a lot getting this video done 2 years as covid struck. And the long awaited concert in Isreal. It's like they finally conquered covid. I see so much love. Shout out to the amazing Hellscore Choir! They don't get enough praise I think. Check out their site too. Thank you Travis and Susie Que for an excellent reaction. Though you are always quirky. Lol My soul is attached to this band like my 2 others. So special. Peace be with everyone! Stay safe. God Speed. 🤘 🌹❤️ Everyone have a lovely Independence day!♥️
Thanks for that reaction. In my opinion this is the best progressive metal song since Dream Theater's "Metropolis Part I". It's musical perfection combined with emotional eruptions. And as you said: everyone is 150% into it, you can really feel, how much they love what they're doing. Greetz from Munich! 🤘
I have never seen them Scardust, but I have seen Patty before. Wow, they bring it, love the energy of the band, great lead singer and that bass player is just so fun to watch, ha. The bass player is rockin the man beard for sure, ha. I like the way they all kind of took turns and showed there skills off. Patty as always is just so cute an I love to hear the hurdy gurdy any time.
Not sure if you two read these comments but...you have reacted to Nightwish with Floor, now react to Scardust covering the song "Noise" live. Honestly, you will be stunned and saying Floor who :) , Noa Gruman is freaking AMAZING!!!!
I loved your reaction because it was the same as mine. In the first few seconds I was hooked. The next few seconds I was like WHAT am I hearing? And then the WHATs just kept coming through the string section and chorus and then the wildest-ever instrumental break with the most monstrous musicality imaginable. And then the ending which really drove a pile driver through the theme of how human progress is simultaneously wondrous yet alienating, and how the cost of our astonishing quality of life is to become detached from nature. Bravo to Scardust and you guys rock, too.
Hey guys have to watch Elvis singing Bridge Over Troubled Water live in 1970 and Elvis singing Trouble from his movie King Creole The long version. Also Just Pretend live in 1970. Keep up the great work PEACE AND LOVE FROM JOEY FROM THE BRONX
The band is from Israel, Patty from Germany. I don't like there current record. This song is an exception and the most successful song ever. I liked the previous record better, hence the tip from there: Scardust - Arrowhead (Official Music Video) The singer founded the choir and calls it Hellscore: Hellscore - DRINK (Pirate Metal Flash Mob A Cappella Alestorm cover) Patty rose to fame with the folk metal band Storm Seeker. When the acoustic version of a single became more successful than the original, she dropped out and has been touring solo ever since: "The Longing" - Patty Gurdy (Hurdy Gurdy Music) Fun fact: Noa Gruman (the singer of Scaredust) studies music in Denmark and is also a music teacher. Patty alias Patricia Büchler wrote to her to get singing lessons from her. That doesn't seem to have worked, because I don't hear any difference. Instead, the two became friends and Patty was there co-act on the last Scardust tour. Nonfunfact: Patty grew up in the Ahr Valley, an idyllic river valley. Last year the river unexpectedly burst its banks and 133 died in the floods. The ground floor of Patty's house was also flooded and her small studio and everything in it was destroyed, including the computers with the recordings and instruments. Patty herself was there in Iceland staring at the TV in amazement. But she had been clever: she brought her two Hurdy Gurdys and a backup of her computer to her parents. Their house is higher and everything was safe. Her fans donated and paid for a new studio. She documented the whole thing on her RU-vid channel. I lost my home in the German floods (my first reaction)
