When I said zero representation, I meant like at the level of representation they deserve if we are comparing talent and content to other mainstream rap and hip hop. Where have these guys been all my life? The last indigenous band I ever knew of was called Red Bone back in the mid 1970's. These guys remind me of what hip hop was in the beginning.

Thank you for amplifying Snotty nose rez kids. You spoke of indigenous resistance and that's how I heard them. They performed in my community to amplify the message that fracking and pipelines weren't wanted on the North west coast. 12 billion lng project was thwarted.

There was a band called " Indigenous " back in the 90's. Like a blues rock Jackson 5 family band. I was lucky enough to run across one of their shows, they put it down.

One of the reasons for the Rap For our Native People now is because this younger generation is really hard to reach with our traditional so to reach the new younger generation with everything on tv and radio is mostly rap and it's a new way to reach them and hold to our teachings in a new way

European colonizers brought dairy with them everywhere they colonized, but a lot of the native peoples they oppressed did not have dairy in their heritage so they lack the enzyme to digest it.
