i'm from algeria, and this is more than a song it's a political statement, this song was produced during the 2019 peaceful protests in algeria that lasted for more than a year and it put a hold on everything in the country because the people were so fed up with the oppression by the corrupt goverment of the time, our goal was to overthrow the then handicapped president who was nothing more than a doll and picture frame, like he said in the song at 6:13, and the algerian people had been through alot because of the 90s terrori*m epedemic where alot of people lost their lives and their loved ones, the gov used this tactic of reminding the people of those dark 10 years of an all out urban war where the terror*sts tried to take the goverment, after it was all over the people still had fear inside their hearts and the gov tried using that, 5:58 they thought we were gone as in our will to fight and our love for freedom is gone and we'll submit to their tyranny because we fear that our dark past would repeat itself, but he kept repeating that liberty doesn't scare us. unfortunately we had the sad ending, the old gov is gone the new one is no better and nothing changed, most of our youth are dying at sea trying to cross to another continent, the lucky ones are scattered across the world trying to live like normal humans as for the rest of us stuck here because of one thing or another it's just a bitter world we're trying to survive but freedom is in the heart after all like the song said.
