This is an homage to the Beatles..a very Beatlesque sound and done perfectly! It's really a masterpiece. These guys are still performing and they've kept their voices sounding great

TFF was a serious, serious band. None of their songs were shallow. Their lyrics, melodies, arrangements were all fantastic. Their song Mad World alone to me at least, perfectly encapsulated how loneliness, living an uneventful, boring life or even depression felt like . "The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had" like goddamn.

"time to eat all your words, swallow your pride, open your eyes...." LOVE it !

You don't need to pick a favorite song. You can like them all. There are no rules for music.

This duo were massively underrated when these song and albums were released but in retrospect their songwriting was right up there , Pale shelter is a classic .

I have always considered this song to be deeply spiritual, as love is - to my mind - the greatest expression of spirituality. Sowing The Seeds Of Love by expressing kindness, compassion qnd understanding towards the whole of humanity is, in my opinion, the greatest expression of spirituality that there is. Regardless of your faith, I think all of us can agree that this world needs more love. Great reaction as always! Consider giving their songs Woman In Chains and Head Over Heels a spin!

This entire album is a masterpiece. I don't throw that word around. Not a single weak song. A lot of people think TFF is "just some 80's band". They are in my top-10 all time. As many others have said, Woman in Chains is a mind blower. Oleta Adams is pure perfection.

One of my favorite songs and videos of all time. Has a Beatles vibe to it, and love as the theme.

Head over heels is another good TFF song, please do that 1 next.

This beautiful, very Beatle-esque song will probably remain my favourite by TFF precisely because of its overt homage to the single most groundbreaking musical entity of the 20th century. I mean, I loved them before late 1963 when I saw John Lennon happily tearing his throat out, George and Paul joyously chiming in, Ringo pushing it forward for their ecstatic cover of the Isley Brothers' 'Twist and Shout' on the BBC, but that's the performance that made me think, "Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do." It became apparent under the influence at least of the various mind-expanding substances like LSD, as well as the central tenets of most of the world's major religions or spiritual disciplines that love, compassion, etc. represent the highest attainments of human evolution and consciousness, so you're both correct in quickly understanding that. You know. You know you know. We all do, at some level, even if it's hard to practise it at times, damn near impossible, seemingly, at others. i agree with Ross McIntosh above on this page that you should check out 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' and 'I Am the Walrus' to see just how deep the influence runs, and would add at least 'All You Need Is Love', the original broadcast video. This was the title track of Tears for Fears "comeback" album (it's later than their big hits) on which they spent an absolute fortune on recording and producing (and marketing). You wouldn't be expected to spot the obvious - but this was slagged at the time for being a total Beatles rip-off, but they missed the point. It wasn't a rip-off but a homage to the Beatles' psychedelic era (and every chord, progression and the overall production is pure "I Am The Walrus"). TFF were clever enough and musical enough to pull it off, and the song is worthy of Lennon if not McCartney. I think it's a work of genius.

I love a sunflower and I believe in love power love power loooooove power yes I remember buying this album loved the video and most of all the song the video does help u comprehend the lyrics a bit, but videos should always show the intent in a song and this video shows that but to .e I like this song so much that thw video isn't necessary since I know all the lyrics by heart back in those days u would get the lyrics too
