Most bands look for their sound and stick with it. The Beatles on the other hand said OK we did that, now what can we do next. That is what made them special.

Harpsichord s what you're thinking of. Actually George Martin slowed down the speed of the tape and played piano over it then sped it back to normal speed to make that sound.

Actually, a real harpsicord is not used in 'Lady Jane' - Brian Jones ( RIP ) plays the electric dulcimer, and with the guitar accompaniment it sounds like their using the harpsicord.

I've been a Beatles fan since I saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show when I was 8 years old. I raised my kids on the Beatles and then the rock music from 60s, 70s & 80s. When my son got his first car, he put a huge sound system in it and would bump down the road to the Beatles! He got lots of thumbs up from old geezers and young folks! And don't get started on the classical music he played! Lots of Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky! Yes, I raised them right!

I was introduced to the Beatles at 2 yrs. old in '64 . My family Loved The Beatles (even my suit wearing, straight laced Dad!) . My parents took us all next door to the neighbors house to watch them on Ed Sullivan. So, there's no telling what the 1st song I remember was. But at 62 yrs. old I love them just as much as I ever did. Their music will always be a huge part of my life.

Stan, I have no idea which Beatles song I heard first, and no idea which Beatles song is my favorite. Three ballad-y Beatles songs I love, are, "If I Fell", (gorgeous harmonies); "Because", (even MORE gorgeous harmonies); "And I Love Her" (Beautiful, very flamenco-vibe song, with lovely guitar work from George); and "Michelle", (this time, a very French vibe, with beautiful guitar backing.) In case you were wondering, the first two are John's songs, and the two later songs are Paul's.

I obviously started to write before ending the video. What was the first Beatles song that made me feel like that? Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ my dad was a BIG Beatles fan so I’ve been listening to The Beatles since I was a baby. That being said… there’s so many favorites that I love about the Beatles and depending on my mood, etc. Here’s a few that I’m thinking that every time I hear the song, I get goose bumps, I just feel that same feeling as if I heard it for the first time, etc- Eleanor Rigby, I should have known better, and Let it Be. I’d have to say I love Let It Be. Sometimes I cry bc it just moves me. Plus I’m Catholic and I always took it he was talking/singing about Jesus’ mother but he’s interpreting what his mother told him in a dream. ❤it’s such a beautiful song, no matter how you interpret it. ❤

It was not one song that made me see The Beatles were amazing. A radio station in ‘76 played many hours of only The Beatles every Sunday. I was stuck at my first job listening to it. I remember that I knew the first song they played, I liked it and thought, “So that is The Beatles.” And then they played another song I knew and liked. And then another. And then another. And at some point several hours in I thought, “All these songs are Beatles?! Wow! How can that be? The Beatles Are Amazing.”

BTW, you're thinking of a harpsichord, but it only sounds like a harpsichord.
