Major facts i avoided this movie for so long then my girl got me to watch it and im obsessed with so many of the songs now its been months and ive watched it since at least 5 times and listen to songs fairly oftent with them being added to my main spotify playlist.
Can't believe you didn't recognize Zac Efron's voice right away, or got spoiled that it's him by the thumbnail, just wow... And you haven't watched HSM 1,2 and 3... just watch one movie a week, and your life will be so much better. Also, don't pause during the first watch, just react and take it all in at once. Also, two of the biggest Disney kids, and they hadn't met before this movie, insane.
Zendaya had a whole music career back in the 2010s/when she was on disney 😂 Since she's decided to mainly focus on her acting career, and has achieved such a level of success with it, I think a lot of people have forgotten about her singing (or have only known of her since she started getting bigger acting roles).
i actually feel like Zendaya was more known for her dancing back then rather than singing but i do agree ever since she's done more acting within her career, people have forgotten she can sing/dance
Not exactly the story. She was quite confident in her new skills as a trained trapeze artist. Then one day they removed the net during filming to match with the era in which the story is based, before nets were used😊. That's when she got a little scared, and by went Hugh with his words of encouragement
Hugh Jackman has always been a triple threat (dance, sing, act). That musical was a project of love, packed with talent and many of the songs are a smash even for non-musical fans. You need to see the whole thing soon!
They didn't just add The sounds! They really did those stunts, and well too! There's a hilarious outtake on one of the late night talk shows where zendaya talks about how they missed once and smacked into each other super hard Lol!
Zendaya just did a surprise performance last at Coachella as Labrith's special guest! They performed their Emmy nominated song from Zendaya's show Euphoria. She's such a good performer...she's beyond a triple threat atp she does it all! Hopefully she makes another album soon. And Zach's voice is so soothing😍
I love this song SO much!! They both have incredible voices. (Even though Zac is in High School Musical, the first film didn’t use his real voice…which is stupid since…I mean, listen to him!) It’s cool that they didn’t just sing this, but did all of that choreography/stunt work as well. Enjoyed watching your reaction to the whole film!
It looks so incredible because they tried to use as little cgi as possible. She’s actually doing these moves. They’ve made simple things extremely elegant. And yes them swinging into each other IS real. This was also the first scene they filmed together and the first time they saw each other in full costume and character, I think they said it was the first scene shot of the entire movie.
Hugh Jackman actually comes from musical theatre background, that is what he originally studied in Australia and her performed in many stage musicals over there before he even started his TV and film carrier. He was nominated for Oscar for his performance for Les Miserables musical movie in 2012. He didn´t win, but Anne Hathaway won that year for her performance in this movie.
They had an interracial relationship in a time when it wasn't accepted so that is why she keeps telling him that it's impossible. The Greatest Showman is one of the best musicals ever. The amount of talent in the movie is just crazy from Huge Jackson, Zendaya and Zac Efron to Keala Settle (watch This is Me to find out who Keala is).
I was so obsessed with this movie, i loved it and i couldn't get the songs out of my head -- everyone was so great and it was really awesome to see Hugh Jackman go back to where he started, which is Musicals. He was a broadway start before he became a movie star -- one of the best movies ive ever seen.
@@JohnReavesLive I'm glad you gave it a shot!! The first time we watched that whole week we watched everyday. The whole soundtrack was my cleaning playlist for so long lol
I love this entire soundtrack, insane vocals! But this song, OMG, I get goosebumps from start to finish! And this choreo is incredible! I think it took them about 2 weeks to film just this scene... So precious!
They did all the stunts themselves: there were safety wires that got edited out of course, but he actually jumped off the balcony and everything. The "Making of" featurettes are amazing.
It absolutely boggles my mind that there are people who haven't seen The greatest showman when Ive watched it at least once a week since it was released lol, Hugh Jackman is an amazing singer and does lots of musical theatre he's also in Les Miserables with Anne Hathaway which another amazing musical movie
Lol right? Honestly I’ve intentionally placed my head in the sand when it comes to musicals until I watched Hamilton in December and now I’m open to watching them! Very happy I gave them a chance
A couple months ago I asked my mom if she liked any songs released in the last 30 years. She told me "Yes! I like a lot of songs from the 80s". I then had to remind her that thirty years ago was the 90s and not the 80s. A couple days later I was listening to this song while doing the dishes and she busted in and went "Ha! I do like a song released in the last thirty years because I like this song!".
The fact that you were talking about Hugh Jackman and than picked Rewrite the Stars was funny to me...haha but yes, Hugh Jackman can sing too. I love this movie and this is one of my favorite songs of the movie and the scene was beautifully shot. Zach and Zandaya, their vocals went to well together and they sounded beautiful.
you should def watch this one. This musical was written specifically for the Movies, and Jackman did a masterful job with it. There is soooo much talent packed in this movie, it'll blow your mind...Go Watch It!!
Hugh jackman has a beautiful voice..its amazing how talented he is...I'm also surprised this is me isn't the most listened to song from that movie ahhaha
Have you heard of Tick Tick Boom? It's a movie musical from 2021. It's inspired by a musical by Jonathan Larson and it's amazing. My favorite movie of 2021. The main actor is Andrew Garfield who plays Jonathan and he sings in that movie. Please, check out some songs out of that movie cuz' it's freaking beautiful. Some of my fav being "Come To Your Senses", "Louder Than Words" or "Johny Can't Decide".
It's so funny to me you are just seeing this now 😅 I saw this movie when it came out at the cinema. It was so good 🤩 like going to the cinema, the theatre ans the circus all at once!!
If you haven’t already can you do a reaction to RENT. The stage production not the movie. The stage production 2008 filmed live on broadway is on RU-vid.
Every song in this musical is awesome, but the one that hits hardest for me is This Is Me. High Jackman is not in that one either. If you want Hugh Jackman try From Now On or This is the Greatest Show.
This show is FANTASTIC. Hugh Jackman has done a ton of musicals, he cut his teeth on musical theatre. You should really try out some others… you might like the 70s rock operas like Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Godspell.
Will you post a version of your reaction to the movie on RU-vid? I would love to see your reaction to it, but I can't use Patreon, so I'm hoping for at least some of it here. (I understand if you don't though, copyright is hard...)
While the real life of PT Barnum was not the candy coated version Greatest Showman sells, the songs were nevertheless true gems. They were on my commute playlist for at least a year. It was first a movie. I have heard it was adapted to broadway but not sure.
