Glad you like the guitar solo! The band had a traveling exhibition a few years back called exhibitionism, it came through Nashville and we went and and saw the guitar that played this solo. Along with a lot of other artifacts.
So the guitar sound you asked about is really a matter of the guitars tone, not pitch. The solo is largely in the guitars upper register but it's not tuned higher than a normal guitar. The unique sound comes from a combination of high treble EQ (treble turned up with bass and mids down), played on a Les Paul bridge pickup (bridge pickups typically will have a brighter tone than neck pickups or middle pickups), and the type of amp which I've read was a British Vox AC30.
funny you mention the tone of the guitar, it’s really a topic of discussion in the guitar community how keith was able to pull the tone out of his les paul, my personal opinion is he used a wah wah pedal to get the glass like sound.
I am loving all your different musical reactions. Boy, you be killing me drinking your Budweiser, this bud is for you! This is one of my favorite songs by the Rolling Stones. Because of our parents, my siblings and I love all music. The Stones were heavily influenced by Muddy Waters and you can really here it in this song.
The Stones are definitely a vibe. Back in the day I preferred The Beatles to the Stones and still do, but the songs they have that are I like are really, really good. I really appreciate the artistry of this lyric video. It makes the lyrics come to life so to speak. The song is called SYMPATHY not SYMPHONY for the devil and the lyrics are pretty deep. I don't think I've seen you react yet to Eddie Van Halen Eruption solo, live without a net. If you want to see how guitarists hit those high notes and also have your mind blown, it's a must reaction. 😊
The Rolling Stones are “arguably” the greatest rock n roll band of all time. A little explanation of this song i pulled for you bcz there is no way i could have explained it on my own. Powerful lyrics. There are two main concepts of his work that are featured heavily in the song, which are the reversal of values and the confusion of reality and appearance. In the song this is referenced as the devil being featured as a man with taste, and every cop is a criminal while every sinner saints. Even Christ is remembered for his pain but also for his moments of doubt. As these lyrics mentally register with the listener one may begin to think has evil trumped over good? That being said it’s nothing more than fantasy despite Mick Jagger’s persistence towards the end of the song by yelling, “Tell me baby, what’s my name? Tell me honey, can ya guess my name?” Apart from the religious themes featured in the song Jagger references other important events that occurred in the twentieth century, which is the October Revolution, the assassination of the Tsar and his ministers, WWII & the assassination of the Kennedy Brothers. If you look closely enough Jagger almost wrote the lyrics in a ‘Dylanesque poetic verse’
If you’ve got access to HBO Max, documentary called 1971 -the music history is phenomenal! The Rolling Stones are featured among others including all rock genres exploding at the time. Definitely worth checking out for sure. ❤️🎼🤘😎
@@dubzer0649 anytime- music history, theory, terminology…..all that has been a part of my life since age 5, grew up in a music family -first music lessons at age 5…..been singing ever since. Your body is your instrument when you’re a vocalist, that’s something that takes years to master, even if you have talent. Hearing your pitch on stage isn’t always easy, instruments fall out of tune as well. Queen- somebody to love- live: watch and listen to Freddie on the intro- he’s listening to the piano and tuning at the same time. 4 tonal notes of the piano chord- 1 3 5 8 are the numbers that coincide. Freddie plays that, then sings it- when you’re a vocalist you immediately know what he’s doing -then,transitioning down and minor….then the word LOVE…….followed by “ ok let’s do it” . By then Freddie knows he’s in tune and the piano is too. ❤️🎼
Definitely a VIBE! A very DEEP RABBIT HOLE! Literally a hundred solid Bops for you to check out. If you love high pitch guitar, check out Led Zeppelin and Dire Straits. Jimmy Page and Mark Knoffler a guitar GENIUS!😀
You should consider reacting to the Rolling Stones performing "You Can't Always Get What You Want" live at the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus gig! Mick is a complete badass in this performance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ef9QnZVpVd8.html
