God you just put your foot in a bear trap. Welcome to the Jinjer fever. I ve discovered this band years ago. They are so amazing and all the song are epic. Teacher, teacher; Perennial, who is gonna be the one are a good start. Even their old stuff like exposed as a liar is freaking brilliant

I've seen them twice and they are epic in concert. They tour constantly so if you get a chance to see them go for it. The other recommendations below are great - they just don't have bad songs. Who Is Gonna Be The One is my favorite and Tatiana shows off what she can do with her growls (she goes lower haha - this is a bit below her midrange growls). It is also the concert video with the best sound and least post-production tweaking like adding layered vocals and whatnot. If you want to get all skeptical, there are some bootlegs I can suggest going back to when they were nobodies (which I found because I was skeptical haha). Tati always loved singing and loved all kinds of music, and had a few singing lessons in school but didn't have enough discipline to do anything with it. Then at 15she was introduced to Otep and was shocked to find out Otep is a woman. She started singing in various local metal bands to build her clean singing skills. At 18 she started learning to growl, emulating first Dig by Mudvayne, then Laid To Test by Lamb Of God. She practiced growls while still singing cleans for another 4 years, until starting to use growls with the band she sang with for about a year before joining Jinjer. She is constantly improving both her cleans and growls.

Dude i went to a concert with a couple buddies of mine and jinjer was the second band.. i didn't know who they were and i seemed like a ton of people didn't either because people left the floor to go to the bar me included.. i get my drink and was just chilling in the back when they came on.. i fucking never seen people run to the floor faster than that in my life.. got right in the pit and from then on i have been listening to them. 10/10 blew my mind.

It's probably the "surprise effect" that the Jinjer fans want to create on each reaction videos, when they request this espefic video. I've followed 100s of videos and the effect is almost always the same. "is that really her?". "that must be someone else doing it!" "no way. That's not her!" It would have been much easier to watch a live video, from some metal festival and anyone would see that it's really her. Great voice, great reaction. Keep up the good work

Jinjer is by far my favorite band (besides Pink Floyd lol). If you loved this, check out a few songs by Infected Rain, Once Human, and Straight Line Stitch. All are excellent, with growling front women.

There is a small amount of overdub in the vocal. The description of the video tells you that (I thought it was some kind of freaky overtone when I first noticed it) and they don't shy away from the fact that they use a bit of vocal effects, like everyone else. Still, her technique is totally legit and very unique. She's definitely one of the vocalists to watch right now.
