@@PonceMislang I have a friend that lives in Cebu and like to go Island hopping from there. I will be back in a few months hopefully and I will be on my own
I love how friendly you are with the kids. I'm sure you will hit 100k subscribers while in the Philippines. Stay safe guys. More food to come and try to enjoy.
New Subscriber here from the Philippines. You know what? This is authentic no holds barred type of content. i like it. What you just covered is the true everyday life of the 80% of the Filipino Population. Covering BGC, Makati and other high places in Metro Manila is Kinda Boring. Keep it up! Stay safe and all the Best..
The lady in the eatery did not properly identify the rolls which she said to be Pork Shanghai. It is a kind of LUMPIA hence it should have been properly called LUMPIA Shanghai which filling is pork meat. There are other kinds of LUMPIA like Lumpia Toge (bean sprout filling), Lumpia Gulay (leafy vegetables filling), and Lumpia Sariwa. Sariwa means Fresh. Lumpia Sariwa is not fried unlike the other Lumpias. It has filling of vegetables, carrots, sprouts, etc., and topped with peanut sauce. Fyi.
Be careful with those drinks…. They use water straight from the faucet. When I visit the Philippines, I realized the water from the faucet is sweet and delicious compared to the water I buy that tasted like chemical to sanitize the container. So I decided to use the water straight from the faucet. However, I strain it with a piece of material derived from the ny,in tea bag from the green tea in buy from Costco. Then, I boil it, and finally, put it in the fridge to cool. I think most restaurant use filtered water. I only drink pure coconut juice from palengke and avoid those delicious looking tropical juices from the street. Have fun and stay safe.
New subscriber here from UK... I love all your vibes and positive comments about my people and culture. Yes! I'm filipino living here abroad. You guys eat the filipino way, using bare hands which made me more prouder. Enjoy your stay and God bless!

Love your positivity, such great vibes. No qualms on local foods but to be safe, drink bottled water. We appreciate your genuine interaction with the locals which sadly is missing from most foreign vloggers. Thank you for the kind words and we pinoys know how to reciprocate. We will support your channel and again 'Welcome' and stay safe.

Good you mentioned the river too. It's dead. Will be decades before it returns to support life IF things like flooding, open sewage, and litter are mitigated.
@@igzqui7817 there's always been fishes there even in it's worst years back in the 90s and early 2000s. you'd be surprised how adaptable fishes can be even in some of the most toxic and disgusting environment.

What a refreshing change from vloggers who create characters for themselves or seem to stir up trouble with locals when they show up with a camera and money! The simplicity of such an attractive couple presenting well-edited, colorful video, breathes fresh air into a somewhat tired genre here. Thanks for what you do.
if you want to see some green spaces in metro manila (which is the metropolitan city covering several cities),you can either go to la mesa ecopark in quezon city, arroceros park in manila city or in las pinas-paranaque critical habitat (mangrove eco park) in paranaque.
@@SammyandTommy welcome.in front of the la mesa ecopark is home to the dumagats (tribal people and their ancestry came from africa, part of the so called austronesian race that migrated to asia-pacific continent thousands of years ago.unfortunately, you can just look the islands from (afar) the park coz its part of watershed and being protected by the government.but the park itself is really like a forest within the city home to many homegrown and migratory birds.
It is great that you werent afraid of the hustle and bustle in Manila, it can be overwhelming some times. And that you walk trough areas that dont look so pretty like BGC. And maybe feel intimidating therefore. And if you go in with this attitude, maybe even the people feel intimidating even though they are clearly not.. It is all in the mindset :) The real beauty of the Philippines, besides the beautiful nature and beaches, were always its people. :) Please continue doing videos like this, not just beaches and tourism hotspot, like others. Also, the videography is different, with all these portrait shots. You have a new subscriber! :)
