I haven't been in a while but check out Pochomil, Laguna De Apoyo, Catarina(mostly for the view) , Granada Isetas de Granada, San Juan Del Sur(its USA city down there) Chaman(night club looks like a temple its hot inside I'm not sure if its still active) Salvador Allende..Also I recommend resturant Jimmy Three Fingers. Go to Corn Island. First of all beautiful. But mostly black people. Big Corn has more. A lot of English spoken as well. I just got back one week ago. Nica is an incredible country.
Foods: 1) Vigoron 2) Sopa De Cola 3) Sopa De Mondongo 4) Vaho 5) Fritanga 6) Salpicon 7) Quesillo 8) Nicaraguan Enchiladas 9) Nacatamal 10) Pescado a la Tipitapa 11) Indio Viejo 12) Rundown I think they only make it in places like Bluefields 13) Arroz a la Valenciana 14) Lengua en Salsa 15) Pollo Tip Top. Also something important to keep in mind sometimes you have to go to different places in Nicaragua to get certain food when it comes to taste I think they make Fritanga everywhere in Nicaragua but if you want the best tasting Fritanga I think is in Managua, best Vigoron Granada, best Quesillo I think is in Leon, etc.. Desserts: 1) Pio Quinto 2) Rosquillas 3) Sopa Borracha 4) Bunuelos that's my favorite 5) Picos 6) Melcocha 7) Tres Leches Cake 8) Guava cake the way Nicaraguans make it is delicious it's different even the cake frosting taste different 9) Ayote En Miel 10) Cajeta de Coco 11) Perrereque 12) Raspados I think they put like some type of breading in it atleast the place I went to in San Francisco did. We Nicaraguans don’t discriminate, our people come in different colors, we got whits, browns and blacks in the Caribbean’s cost. Racism is not a thing here at all.

As for the Massacre in DR, a Podcaster went to DR a couple of years ago and was almost picked up and placed into a police vehicle, because they thought she was Hatian. Thank God a Dominican woman told the officer "she's American." The moral of the story is: Hatians are still being mistreated in DR.

Correction it is not a language its a dialect and 95% derived from Twi, Yoruba etc. What you perceived as English is a bastardized version of the original African terms Think about it, The whiteman did not give English lessons when he enslaved our ancestors, if there is a corruption it would from the African language as there were so many ethnic groups enslaved together so words were corrupted so that they can communicate amongst themselves.
