São Jorge Cheese (Portuguese: Queijo São Jorge) is a semi-hard to hard cheese, produced on the island of São Jorge, in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. After try STEW OF THE FURNAS BOILERS. Cozido das Furnas is one of the most emblematic and typical dishes of São Miguel Island
Bifanas de Vendas Novas Porto bifanas is just a copy 🤣🤣 they are garbage porto is for francesinhas the rest sucks ass, and they call sneakers "ballet shoes" LOOL
If you think that Ponta Delgada Azores is amazing........... than try to visit Funchal, Madeira Islands (the other Portuguese archipelag) that i'm pretty sure that you will love even more !!!!!
The band that you saw is university students, trying to make a few bucks for their graduation party. You see this all over Portugal, this time of year. And great to see you on the Azores. A place where I have been living and working for many many months over the past 14 years 🙂
I was there about 15 years ago, one of the most magnificent places i've ever visited. I'm not a big pineapple fan & i still remember the ones from there. So many things to see & do there. Tea plantations, botanical garden, whale/dolphin watching, Thermal baths & so much more. Enjoy your trip ❤
A Vasco shirt seems like an excellent choice to walk around Portugal. But in the future you should buy a jersey from a Portuguese team - or even from the national squad, which is one of the most beautiful in my opinion. Hope to see you guys walking around the Portuguese mainland soon enough!
Awesome video Canadian Portuguese who went to Sao Miguel last year Loved it Furnas is beautiful Villa Franca Ilha beach beautiful sete Cidades Loved loved loved it ENJOY
The bifanas soaked in sauce are typical from Portugal mainland, here in São Miguel we dont do it this way. If you want a really good bifana in São Miguel find a Bifana/Hotdog kart in the street downtown near the marina and buy one there. Usually these are great!
Don't pronounce Azores as "Azoresh" in English, that's incorrect. AZORES is the English word and it's pronounced either "Ay-zors" (North American way) or "Uh-zors" (British way). In Portuguese we say AÇORES (pronounced Uh-sorush).
Oh my goodness!! Mouth watering here! I want that fish! Nice to see you guys in Portugal. When are you coming back to Brazil? Maybe when the baby is born and is allowed to travel. Tell me, please!
Next time… continental Portugal! You may not want to leave. 🇵🇹 Thank you for pronouncing the ‘s’ sound properly. Food in Portugal is most definitely regional! Olá, from Ottawa 😃
Yes those are only for tourist and unfortunately what they sell as traditional Azorean food .. really is not, or are not properly done. locals would almost never eat there. they are tourist catfish.
For me pretty good right? and pretty good no? are synonymous. Not sure if it is a Canadian thing or not... maybe more Canadian would be pretty good eh?
Recommed a thermal bath, a natural one by the ocean, Ponta de Ferraria. Amazing experience! The best memory from my visit to Azores quite some time ago.
São Miguel is a nice town, but is a bit provincial. Another portuguese Atlantic Island, called Madeira, is more cosmopolitan and it's capital, Funchal, is more interesting to visit some time.
The first time I had Chorizo was when I was working in Macau, They just brought to the table with a deep dish fill with some alcohol and lit it, once the flame goes off, you can dig in. Of course in 1997 Macau was still a Portuguese colony
I wish i knew you were there so i could send you my AZ TERRA VIVA shirts ( EARTH ALIVE) and soon you will find out why by the way its busy season so its going to be a bit pricey
Yes vendace! Ah, I actually said this in the video, but it was a long section where we were not sure of the answer. You might notice the cut in the video around then. But yes, vendace!
Beautiful land but the animals are treated like garbage, abandoned, some target shooting, and they go free, welcome to the land of monsters, that's what you want to know, and continue your good holidays...
vasco da gama was a portuguese sailor (but don't know steve knew it haha), the soccer team was named after him ... , besides being a brazil's soccer jersey
The history of Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama begins in 1898, the year of its foundation in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Although it was an association initially founded due to the practice of rowing, over time it added several new sports and is currently one of the most popular and traditional multi-sport entities in Brazil and South America.
Hello, how are you . When you eat the fish you have to remove the bones, you can get sick with bones in your throat, and the garlic sauce is put on top of the fish, it is much tastier, the stones, it was the Portuguese who took them to Brazil, when Brazil was a colony of Portugal, try eating the super delicious Portuguese cozido from Furnas
Enjoy my island 👌👌👌🇧🇪
It is great to see you telling some Portuguese history and connecting to the places that you visited in Brazil ! You both are the most carismatic travelers in the world 😊
