I was born in United States. But my mom and dad from Puerto Rico. I went to Puerto Rico when I was 4 years old. Came back to the state when I was eight. Still have family that I need to go back.
It did to me as well. I’m from the Virgin Islands and I felt happy for you guys as well after all were neighbors and most times I feel like the world knows nothing about US.
Same as the people from the U. S. who go to Puerto Rico take advantage of locals leave them homeless buy all the real estate get tax breaks and make millions!! Also Puertorican pay taxes as well. Higher taxes than a lot states do Soooo your point is...

My Island is so beautiful and my people are the best. I go twice a year to enjoy the food and the beauty of the island. So glad you guys got to visit La Perla. I went there on a Saturday to purchase food from the people down at the Perla to support them. They depend on the visitors to be able to survive.
I have been to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 many times, lots of my husband's family and friends are living there. You've got to see the inner island smaller towns and the foods, you wont want to leave, a place in the mountains. I bet Lam will enjoy, similar foods in Nigeria. You have to try pasteles a Christmas food
