for slovenians early morning is at 4-5 am. we start working at 6 am, in the country side even before , specialy in d summer time. ! when d sun is up on the sky its not morning anymore, its a day . so- dont say good morning to slovenians when is 9, 10, 11 am ! thats insult and means u are just woke up . slovenians making jokes to people from monte negro . they say- good morning working people from monte negro, its 11 oclock .

It’s so refreshing to see foreigners exploring Slovenia and not being surprised upon realising it’s actually a pretty modern country. Usually, tourists are surprised that it’s “not as socialist as they thought” when they come to visit.

@slovene ball Well it is not poor, but I guess EU average. Salaries vary quite a bit, depending on how close to a bigger city you live. But this is most likely a well known scenario all over the globe.

Whatever you do, when in Slovenia, do not miss Lake Bled. Can thoroughly recommend the Alp Penzione (very substantial breakfasts!). And visit the wine tastings in the castle. Repeat, don’t miss Lake Bled!

OMG I am from Maribor. I would like to meet you guys . You should try some stuff from the Interšpar they have some special products like Pokica ( all kind of popcorn ) in general you must try some local food. Štruklji, potica, gibanica, ajdovi žganci....

Very welcome to my hometown! :) my favorite local desserts are "gibanica" (there are different flavours - curd cheese, walnut and one special one is "Prekmurska gibanica") and "potratna potica". my perfect sandwich in Slovenia is,... you can't buy it you need to make it. it goes like this... bun, poly salami, dry salami, cheese, and you add Milka Chocolate with whole hazelnuts in the middle. and then a treat in an explosion of flavors. but not everyone likes it logical right :-) but you need to try it to judge it! 🙃

You shame our country by naming yourself "Slovene ball" and then trying to divide out little nation, rooting for one side, name yourself "Maribor ball" then.

If you are in Maribor, you must definitely go to a place called La Pizzeria - best pizza restaurant in Europe by far. Must try a best ever thin crust pizza, that you're cutting with scissors.

Let me guess... You're going to prison tomorrow ? The lit hill behind your airbnb is named Piramida (Pyramid) and is known as a city vineyard. A wider area around and east of Maribor is one of the tree main wine regions of Slovenia, every one of them known by completely different sorts of wine. There was a big castle on the top of that hill before the town has even start to develop. After the destruction of it the new castle was build where's today city center and today the castle is turn into a museum. And "Gorenjka" was pronounced spot on ;)

Reason for "gas station break" is EU mandates breaks for drivers every ~2 hours... I had 3 stops between Lucerne & Paris... Struck it lucky with your pub grub, eh....? Looking forward to more of Slovenia vlogs... :)

Well thankgod for that. We don't want busses filled with kids dying anymore...because the bus driver was overly tired. Which happened in Belguim some years ago...many kids died there. So GOOD CALL from the EU!!

If you want a best fine dining experience for a affordable budget, you should try restaurant Rožmarin (in old town), which is one of the TOP 5 restaurants in Slovenia. You shouldn't miss this pearl if you are in Maribor
