We visited Sweden for the first time in the month of December and we were NOT ready for how beautiful it was...

Hi! We're Jen and George and we love filming our adventures around the world and sharing them with you :) The pandemic put a stop to our big travel plans as well as our busy jobs as full time musicians (and G's also a videographer!) but we're ready to get back and explore what life has to give.
We will be trying different daily routines, life-style changes, challenges, humbling and adventurous experiences, creative projects and of course TRAVEL and will be giving our honest experiences and opinions along the way. We want to share our lives with you, and hope that maybe something resonates to benefit your lives! :)

The Nobel Prize ceremony is held in the Concert Hall at the Heymarket, the great banquet is held in the City Hall. The house in the Old Town shown here is the Nobel Prize museum and the "office" of the Swedish Academy.

Sorry Guys. That is actually just the nobel museum.. Where you can go and learn about each Nobel prize that has been handed out. The actual feast takes place in the Great Blue Hall at the city hall.

The prize ceremony takes place at Konserthuset at Hötorget (Haymarket) - not in the Old Town.

3:52 Statue of Carl Michael Bellman! Probably Swedens (maybe the worlds?) most unique and funniest composer/musician ever. There's even a secret society called "Par Bricole" & lots of institutions still going to this day in his honor. Lots of artists and musicians here still cover his songs, childrens sing his songs at graduations etc. Love the guy! Edit: Great video btw & glad you had fun! Also really good editing

Look at it this way; at least there's snow. It's another thing when it's biting cold, but no snow. It changes the whole dynamic. You don't see people out and about as much when there's no snow.

I don't disagree - we went to Iceland in December in 2017 and it was minus 19 at one point. That was PAINFUL. None the less! We were still cold (did we mention? 😛 )

@@JGJustsayyes As as Swede, I'm freezing cold anywhere below zero degrees. (Would never go to Island, or even nearby Norrland, during winter.)

@@JGJustsayyes Yes you did 😄. The cold is not the problem with sweden but i cant tell you how many times i wished i had a one way ticket to cuba or mexico when i had to dig the snow from my car every morning to go to work. The snow is the worst thing about sweden.

-10c is Viking summer :) One of the few positives about this extreme cold (often -15-20c in Stockholm and around -40c in the north) it makes you appreciate the summer WAY more. If you can live through the darkness and the cold, the summer is just such a huge reward.

We've had an unsually cold winter this year. Down here in the south it's not that unusual that we just have minus degree weather a couple of days during the winter.

The secret to handling the cold in Sweden is: We get just as cold as anyone else. We are just better prepared, you need warmer jackets, thermal long underwear under your pants, a warm hat and warm gloves. -7C is pretty decent actually. The last weeks we have had -20-25 here in the middle of sweden.

I would say we actually are warmer weather as a northern country than many other places because of the gulf stream.

Minus 7 degrees is nothing. Try minus 37, then we are talking. ( Can occasionally happen further north in Sweden). The best time to visit Stockholm is for sure in the summer though. It can be very lovely then.

Winter is there in Sweden. But they got so little snow. Take a trip to my town Umeå and you will have alot of snow. About 2 weeks ago we had -32 Celsius.

You guys where in Stockholm about 3 weeks to early then. Last week we had -17°C or maybe even colder at some point. 😂 I was out walking the dog for over two hours in -15 this past Friday, beard full of ice after.

I grew up and lived in Stockholm for 30years. 10years ago i moved up the north. Best move i’ve made - so beautiful up here. Just insane! Should really do a trip to the real north.

I got curious and have always though of Canada being pretty far north. Ottawa is about as far south as Monaco! That's about a three hour flight straight to the south from Stockholm.

Thats not really cold.. when it gets -25 celsius... then it starting to hurt a bit... but ok it was stockholm... don't get as cold downthere... but its very moist so -5 even feel colder then -15 north swe...cool reaction btw 😊

stockholm its always stockholm or gothenburg in videos why dont u come up to the north where we have winter and cold as it is in sweden:) i mean -10 to 13 minus! we have minus 24 to 35 up here and a ton o more snow!! sadly the north is almost not existing in youtube videos
