For those wondering, those Power Up bands are also amiibo, so they unlock items in Switch games, including a Mario themed racing suit in Mario Kart

100%, you just scan your band as the regular amiibo. The golden one got me a Mario uniform in MarioKart.

Ohhhh I can't WAIT till Tim enters EPIC Universe's Nintendo World. This is just a taste of what's to come. I got to see all the construction of the park while working there on a job. Yoshi and Donkey Kong blew me away after what I got to see. Boy oh boy am I pumped!!

Listen!! 😂😂😂 me too! I’m from California and been to Disneyland more times than I can count so I know the area well. When he was walking around the parks and then to the convention center and to the hotel I was like my God. I need whatever he’s taking.

FYI - The Power-up Bands are also amiibos! You can use them on any Mario amiibo-enabled Switch game. If you scan them into Mario Kart, each one will unlock one of the corresponding outfits you see at 13:53 (the Mario band unlocks the Mario outfit, the Toad band unlocks the Toad outfit, etc.)!

I went to the Super Nintendo World in Japan last year and it was super fun indeed! I will say it was crowded when I went and was only able to do the Yoshi people mover ride due to a late "timed entry", but I can see why so many people love that place! Glad you got to see it in the US, Tim Tracker! I grew up playing Nintendo games my whole life. I also did the summer parade and the Yoshi mascot (Yoshi is my favorite character) waved at me!

Watching Tim go into the warp pipe I got a powerful and visceral flashback to my experience there. I had a serious thrill of excitement as I walked into the world and I think Tim felt the same thing. LOTS of happy adrenaline flowing through the body as you step out of the castle and look around and try to take it all in! A great feeling.

Dollywood extends park hours like that too especially in the summer when it gets busy. They were supposed to close at 8 one time and they kept open til 9PM.

One thing I notice is how well received Fast & Furious is in the west. I’ve done both and I gotta admit the attraction just works better as a tour experience.

Glad you enjoyed Super Nintendo World. Being from the CA Bay Area and everyone we go to Universal Hollywood we have to take the stairs down and up from the lower lot. Not the escalator. It’s a great workout and enjoy all the younger kids passing us by 😅.

One time a few years back we went to Islands of adventure and they increased the park hours an extra two hours due to it being so busy. Nice that they do it, but I agree-can’t imagine the logistical nightmare! (55:53)

Yes, when I stayed at this Hilton I saw a pack of coyotes too!!! One of them even walked behind us (like 20 meters behind)… not a fun

Not sure if anyone else has commented on this, but I used to work attractions in Magic Kingdom pre-Covid, and they would extend park hours all the time if the park was really busy. Those who were the closers got force extended. You basically didn’t have a choice lol

This was so fun to watch! I'm definitely a Nintendo person but I'm more of an Animal Crossing fan - though I do like Mario a lot! I can't wait for this to come to Epic Universe in Orlando and I hope in the future they'll expand the Nintendo portion out a bit with other first-party games (like Zelda and AC).
