She was meant to do this song the previous week but missed that episode due to her long standing heart condition. Which explains her reaction (and everyone else’s) to the line “the heart goes on”.

Congrats on finding this gem. I watched it the week it hit youtube way back then, and I've watched it a thousand times since. I believe it even surpasses Celine on vocal control and mastery, emotional build and story-telling ability. Many of her performances on The Singer 2018 (a celebrity competition show in China) are legendary/iconic. Purple Rain is a MUST and I personally think that nobody has ever sung Killing Me Softly (Roberta Flack/Fugees) better than Jessie J. did at The Singer. By the way, the final show had a total viewing audience across Asia of 1.2 billion people!!!!

I get tired of the Celine Dion version. Overplayed in the year it was released. Jessie J has a different interpretation! I enjoy it! Continuing with The Singer. Suggested video: Jessie J sings Ain't Nobody.

Every one of her performances on this show illustrated a new maturity in her vocal choices and her elevation to diva status (in talent, not behaviour; she manages to be both self-assured and humble). I would suggest that Purple Rain and Killing Me Softly are must watch.

If yes, this time Could you please do a comparison video of who sang it best between Jessie J again singing her cover version of My Heart will go on live on the China singing competition in 2018 vs Sam Bailey also singing her cover version of My Heart will go on live on the X factor in 2013?However could you please combine the two performances together in one video and then after listening to both performances give your opinion as to which of these two singers sang this song the best and why( Jessie J or Sam bailey)?This should be epic.

Until watching this season of Singer, jessie kind of fell in the group of very good singers. But there was nothing that really made her stand out from the others. The songs she did on Singer 18 brought out s different level of talent that I had noot seen before. iI my opinion., these performnces are the best she has ever done.,

she was SO underated !!! heard she annoyed Simon Cowell by not taking a judge offer on one of his shows. Got blacklisted !!! would not surprise me. Hollywood is the same, if you don't conform to the 'rules'. beware !!!!!!!!!

Hi Travis FYI Dimash was on this the year before. You should react to her other songs on here. This one she was trying not to pass out she flew from London to here from the hospital. Her heart condition was acting up and it was against doctors orders. She does Purple Rain ,Killing me Softly and a Whitney Houston song as a tribute. Nothing at all. Yes she won but Dimash didn't.

I have only just found your channel so was scrolling through your past videos, I find it very strange that nobody comments on Jessie J solo career since 2011, the first song I heard was Price Tag then Domino, Bang Bang was 2014 and there are plenty more, Jessie has an amazing voice but I must be one of the only ones not really liking her sing these power ballads.

Jessie J excelled on Singer 2018. I hope you watched them all. Dimash Kudaibergen sang a cover at the end and Jesse went wild over his voice. I agree with you, I think Jesse J sings this better than even the original.

This is the same competion that Diamsh was in but the year after Dimash. She did win and she was big in China before this to. At on point she got sick with her heart problems and had to fly home to england for some dayes to the hospitol. She got back and just missed 1 episode and that was fine with everyone els of the contestents. Pleas react to more of them. In episode 14 when they got the gala Diamsh was there to sing to!! Jessie J was the las one to sing and Dimash was before her. There are videos on you tube seeing her reaction on Dimash!! So fun. Also she had a vote to join one of the groups with her points. She had done a drew before they whent on. She ended up in Dimash group and they won!!!! Dimash loved Jessie to and herd her singing so he talked to her after. I would be so glad if they did a duo!!!

She adjusted her pitch and fixed it when she had to hit the same note the 2nd time.. it’s very slight so most ppl wouldn’t even catch it anyway lol

watching this live back in 2018 she was out of tune last few notes, but in her defence this was the last show filmed absolutely live in front of an estimated 100 million with a serious heart condition, so on the whole she did pretty well!
