Great reaction again. 'PA PA YA' is a summer festival song - and they're going hard singing and dancing about a spicy Thai papaya fruit salad.🥝🥗 Such a good live song, it really gets the whole crowd jumping and waving towels round their heads (Su, Moa and Momoko love to see everybody doing that and we love to see them happy, so everybody brings or buys a towel specially for this song). You're right - people try to keep up with them at their concerts and most are exhausted before the end of the first song ... they keep up that same energy with no dip at all in the quality for every song and the entire length of every concert night after night. They are not just singers, dancers and performers, they are athletes. Their live concerts are the best entertainment of any kind that I've been lucky enough to experience in person. F Hero is a rapper from Thailand. He flew in to Japan specially to perform on the first two nights of the 2019 tour (that was where this video was filmed - it is the official video so the audio is from the studio recording - there is a live video with the live audio from this performance around too which is even better). They performed in Bangkok in Thailand as part of their world tour last year and F Hero made another special guest appearance (that was also when he asked them to collaborate on his song 'Leave It All Behind' with Thai rock band Bodyslam - that was released just a few days ago). F Hero was rapping in this song to the same rhythm as mixing the ingredients for the salad with a mortar and pestle. They are pretty much saying that, much like the salad, mixing the right spices in the right amounts into life will make that better too.🦊🤘

At the BabyMetal concert when they performed PA PA YA, the circle pit turned in front of me and the floor shook under my feet. Everybody was jumping and everybody was waving. Vocalist SU-METAL was so excited that her voice was about to break but she controlled it very well. That's one of my best memories.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This popular and exhilarating song was performed 94 times 😱 last year in every BABYMETAL's gig in their world tour. And so was it on the Day-2 (March 3) of Legend-MM show this year. In June 2019, F. Hero came all the way to Japan from Thai for the world premiere of this song in the two-day shows and he had been very nervous to perform at a huge arena in foreign country. At the premiere performance, Su-Metal shouted "Come on F. Hero!" to summon him and at the end of this song she screamed "Thank you F. Hero!" then the three girls bowed deeply towards him to show their respect. That scene makes me happy. When you attend their show someday, you will come to know it is very hard to keep swinging towel above your head for 4 minutes all along. It is fun. though 😄 .

If you want to experience one of these Babymetal shows in their fully spectacle, you'll have to make a trip to Japan, because they only do these massive stadium shows in their homeland. When they go on tour, the show gets scaled down, so it's not quite this grandiose. I've been to Japan three times to see them and it's always well worth it.

It's so great to see new people enjoying Babymetal so much, so I'll be waiting for more reactins from you. This was their official version of the song while the video is from a live performace, audio is studio version, highly recommend, on your own time, watching live of this. Video will be almost the same as this but the instruments will be heavier and most imprortantly Su- Metals voice (F.Hero's too) will be much more impactful and impresive. Kitsune up🤟🦊🤟

Good reaction. Welcome to the crazy universe of BabyMetal. BabyMetal is an atypical heavy metal group, because they are idols. In Japan, idols are often paired with pop music (Jpop), and Babymetal was actually a subgroup of a larger idol group called Sakura Gakuin. Sakura was made up of girls between 10 and 15 years old dedicated to Jpop. When SuMetal (the singer) started she was 12 years old and MoaMetal/YuiMetal (the backup singers) were only 10 years old. Sakura represented the Japanese high school and the girls were distributed in clubs (traditional Japanese extracurricular activities such as cooking, swimming, basketball, sewing, etc.). One of the producers, a lover of heavy metal, saw that Su's singing could perfectly be used in metal and asked permission from the Mother House (Amuse) to create the heavy music club, proposing an experiment in fusion between metal and the pop. Nobody, as they themselves have confessed, had much hope for its outcome, but they gave it the green light and thus BabyMetal, Sakura Gakuin's heavy music club, was born. The first songs were intended for girls between 10 and 15 years old, who were Sakura's target audience. However, their quality and the fusion between pop and metal attracted attention beyond this audience and they began to frequent their metal concerts... a shocking audience of children and metalheads. And it worked, it worked so well that they began to support groups like Metallica, Red Hot, BMTH or Lady Gaga, I seem to remember, on their tours in Japan. And the Red Hot singer commented that he was impressed to realize that part of the public came to see them, not them. And so the base of BabyMetal fans grew. Sakura was a group in which, upon turning 15, the members had to leave (to pursue their careers elsewhere) and the producer (KobaMetal) requested permission again to create BabyMetal as an independent group. Success was already beginning to become a reality in Asia, so they authorized it, although Moa and Yui (they were still 13 years old) would also continue to be part of other Sakura clubs (I don't know when the poor girls studied, but they did). In 2014 a milestone would arrive in the group's history. They were already an established metal group in Asia that sold out concerts, but they had not yet made the leap to the West. In that year his song "Gimme Chocolate" rose to fame on RU-vid (currently 182M views) and attracted the attention of the producers of the Sonisphere festival. KobaMetal had doubts about taking the step, since their musical proposal (Kawaii Metal or Cute Metal, a genre of which they are considered creators) might not be accepted in the West and the metalheads who went to the Sonisphere had a reputation for saying goodbye to very bad manners to the artists they didn't like (even with bottles full of urine), but they were offered to go to one of the secondary stages (about 5000 spectators) and they ended up accepting. But the success of BabyMetal on RU-vid and the fact that all the concerts they were going to give in Europe were sold out in a few days, convinced the producers to take them to the main stage, where they would share with groups like Metallica, for example. How many girls (they were between 16 and 14 years old at that time) were "terrified" before going out, and they didn't know what scared them more: that they wouldn't understand their music and they would have to run away or that when they went out on stage it would be empty. . But the story was very different, not only was it not empty, but more than 50,000 metalheads, an estimated 95% of whom had never heard of them, finished their fifth and last song chanting "another one, another one." And that's how they achieved popularity in the West as well. They currently have 4 albums on the market: -Babymetal (2013): Their first album and the most childish of all, since they were between 15-13 years old when it came out and had energetic, positive music that left a smile on their faces. -Metal Resistence (2016): an album that, without losing the essence of the first, shows more mature music, going from childhood to adolescence. Songs like Karate were a large part of his presentation in the West. -Metal Galaxy (2018): a turning point in its style. Without abandoning their energy, they turned their attention to new forms of metal fusion (hip-hop, dance music, Hindu music or European folklore, among others), projecting a much more mature music in keeping with their age, which was already around 21 years old. of Su and the 18 of Moa (unfortunately Yui left the group due to health problems). And now in 2023 they have just released their new album "The Other One", which is, again, totally different from what they have done until now (one of the hallmarks of BabyMetal is that their songs are usually very different some from others (although they are all positive adrenaline releases). Currently BabyMetal is considered the most important Heavy Metal group in Japan (I'm not saying the best, that's for everyone to decide) and the most influential in history in the West (it has reached levels that no other Japanese heavy group has reached before). ). The journey through the Babymetal galaxy may be long, but it is certainly entertaining and with a few songs it drags you with a smile into the fox hole

Don`t be fooled, Babymetal goes really hard sometimes, they can get as metal as it can be, can go rap mode, can go cutesy happy songs, can go emotional. There's no other band more worth of the name "emotional roller coaster". Su got it all covered, and the only piece that it was missing from the band, has been brought by Momo who not only can sing, but she also has the harsh gritty low vocals perfect for those heavier songs. IF they ever consider re-making "Kingslayer" live but with Momo singing instead of Ollie, i think there's going to be plenty of heads imploding.

I love Babymetal and their videos, but the live videos are where it's at. If you saw the movie bring it on where she said the games are just practice and the tournament is where they work. Their concerts are phenomenal. But they are not all the same. I attended live in a small venue and it was great, but the next month I attended an arena show. That was completely different and was incredible. Go to a show if they come near you

Please keep up with the Babymetal songs. I subbed just to watch your reactions to these ladies. I think you're going to have to make room on your wall behind you for some Babymetal posters soon lol Would it suprise you that these ladies started this band when the singer (Su-Metal) was only 14 and the 2 dancers (Moametal and Yuimetal) were only 12? They pretty much went nuclear soon after that and haven't looked back. They did have a few setbacks though throughout the years. Yuimetal had to leave due to health reasons, and they lost their lead guitarist due to a tragic accident that sadly claimed his life (R.I.P. Mikio Fujioka), both in 2018. Also, some would say Covid was a bit of a setback, although if I'm going to be honest, I'm almost happy it hit in many ways because it gave the girls a chance to get some well deserved rest. These girls, as you've seen give it their all in all their shows. They put out 110%. They are also ALWAYS on tour it seems so in my eyes, it was good that they got to have a bit of a break (although all of us fans hated it lol). The good news is knowing how Babymetal is, I can almost guarantee they weren't just sitting around doing nothing. I'm sure they were working on new content for most of the 2 years they were on hiatus. Anyhow, there's a lot of material you can cover, and even more if you include their stuff from before they became Babymetal when they were still in their performance school called Sakura Gakuin where they were training to become the ladies they are today. One thing you might find interesting is that no 2 song sounds alike. Just like you'll probably agree that Kingslayer and Papaya sounded nothing alike, you'll find all their music is very similar in that respect. Each new song is a surprise as to what you're going to get. Some might put a tear in your eye because another thing Su is very good at is stirring up emotions through her voice when she so desires. Other songs might put a huge smile on your face. Then there will be songs where you are ready to go into battle to fight for what you believe in, or run a marathon. Every song will hit differently. You won't get bored with this band. So all I can say is have fun with this band! You're going to be going on a very special trip!

Japan is FULL of great metal and rock, many female lead. Nemophila, Hanabie, Lovebites, Unlucky Morpheus and of course Band Maid. All are great in their own right, but me like so many others had our mind opened by Babymetal. Without Babymetal this old dog would never have fallen into so much great music. Hell add Atarashi Gakko too, the only “pop” band I actually really like.

Well, you’ve opened a can of worms! BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the band in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momometal (Momoko Okazaki) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of these recommended songs (along with suggested versions): Doki Doki Morning (official music video) Iine! (official MV) Gimme Chocolate!! (official MV or Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Megitsune (official MV) BABYMETAL Death (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) [for those who are religiously sensitive, see the Budokan Black Night 2014 version] Onedari Daisakusen (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Song 4 No Uta (Budokan Black Night 2014 version) Uki Uki * Midnight (Budokan Black Night 2014 version) Catch Me If You Can (Budokan Black Night 2014 version) Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Live at Sonisphere 2014 version) Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Road of Resistance (Legend 2015 New Year Fox Festival version) Karate (official MV) Meta Taro (Five Fox Festival version) GJ! (Fox Festival 2017 version) Sis Anger (Fox Festival 2017 version) Shanti Shanti Shanti (official MV) Pa Pa Ya!! (official MV) BxMxC (official MV) Metalizm (official MV) Metali!! (official MV) I would include the links but, for some reason, RU-vid sometimes thinks I'm posting spam and will delete my comment. For the links, see the RU-vid playlist “BABYMETAL Top Twenty”; it is a mix of MV’s and live performances, is more or less in historical sequence, and could be considered a road map down the BABYMETAL foxhole. If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . . Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" and/or "Budokan Black Night" (2014). There are playlists for both on the HEAD123456 RU-vid channel. Both concerts are, in a word, incredible. Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!) Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!) KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
