No singer has ever sang so many genres so freakin' well!!! Also, the pic of the big guy he was in court with was a gas station owner who slapped Elvis in the back of his head because a group came around Elvis and he started signing autographs and the guy was pissed about it. Elvis, in fact, took out both the big guy and his assistant and to the best of my knowledge never lost a fight. He eventually became a legit karate blackbelt, as well, though the upper degrees were most likely given to him due to his fame. But, when you read all the stories, he was like a modern day superman who loved everyone and that's what makes him so cool to me! You've got a lot of swag, yourself - my friend - and Elvis had that and the bling, bling, in abundance, too. God bless you!!!
Y'all have to realize this man grew up dirt poor in the south and going to black churches... he had soul... he was the King for a reason!!! Rock, couuntry, gosspel. jazz, blues... there was nothing this man couldn't sing. I love your reactions. And thank you for finding this.. I was born and raised on Elvis from my Mom but I have never heard his song... Thank you for going hard core Elvis... I love it
Mess of the Blues, Reconsider Baby, High Heeled Sneakers, Power of My Love, Give Me The Right, Mojo Working, Merry Christmas Baby. you missed the picture of young Elvis and BB King together.
Not only could he sing the blue's, his favorite genre was gospel! You need to react to some of his gospel, his version of How great thou art, will really show you how great he was...
THIS is the closest we ever got to those BB KING / ELVIS PRESLEY private jams when they used to tour the states together doing concerts in the 50s. Can you imagine seeing this in person or on video!? BB stated that they played almost every blues song in existence. Elvis could play the guitar and sing the blues extremely well. BB stated in his autobiography that he felt like the original Blues Brothers playing with Elvis.
I know you must know this. It's not often talked about that Elvis is a master of the blues genre! He is inducted the Blues Hall of Fame (and 4 other MHOF ) critiera for induction: "mastery of the genre"😊So 5, MHOF inductions. More than anyone in history. I think the closest is Johnny Cash with 3, but I think one of those was for songwriting ? True about BB King loving Elvis and his blues side
BB King & Elvis never toured together in the 50's -- There is no record of that... Elvis toured in 1954 - 1955 with Scotty & Bill & Eventually DJ Fontana BB was saying When He was at the Hilton which Elvis helped him get a standing room only gig there that he and Elvis would sing the blues in Elvis's Suite in the 70's that is not true they ever toured together in the 50's they spent a lot of time together in Vegas In Elvis's Suite jamming
Elvis has sooooo many blues songs in his catalog and every one of them are AMAZING!!!! He could literally sing ANY genre and the man never had a single singing lesson! He just loved music, he felt it in his soul and was able to pump so much emotion into every lyric. A lot of his songs from the 50's and early 60's were blues covers and soooooo good! "Like a Baby" "Reconsider Baby" "Mess of Blues" just off the top of my head
He was in court...he was at a gas station and a crowd gathered around wanting autographs and it made the manager and attendant mad and they jumped E...E kicked their asses and charges were dropped 😊❤🔥
I'M NOMINATING YOU FOR YOUR OWN H.B.O. ENTERTAINING CHANNEL.. WE CALL IT IT'S MY RIGHT TO REACT ... LOVE, LAUGHTER, CRY, GET EXICITEMEMT..FALL IN LOVE APPREACIATE AND FEEL BROTHER... YOUR A JOY TO WATCH, LISTEN TOO.THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS OLD LADY SMILE AND HAVE GOOD COMPANY 💜💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Great reaction. I love this version more than its studio version. If you haven’t already listened, I think you’d get a kick out of his “rude words” compilation.
Elvis used to walk by this clothing store, lansky brothers, and look in the window so the owner called him in and I think gave him some credit to buy those sharp cloths when El is made it fame he bought all his cloths from there
Your Elvis reactions are 🔥 🔥 🔥!!! There are no live performances for these but, trust me, they're great: "Down In The Alley", "Hi-Heel Sneakers" and "Wearin' That Loved On Look".
There's a real low down dirty version that he did in that session that is so bluesy, also it's x-rated because he curses in it. It's Fire! WOW This is it! Love Elvis being Elvis!
Thanks Mam, Elvis has got lots of blues songs if you're looking for them. Like Reconsider baby. No I'm not talking to you I'm just saying that's the name of the song Reconsider baby. Ha 😀
Love it . He actually did drive a mother *****ing truck for electric Co in Memphis when 19. And he added Charlie, sonny and Richard ( his mafia’ in the ad libs too. Very cool
I’m an 83 year old W woman. Been a blues fan since 1953. Very difficult to find a blues station at that time. However, we W teenagers found them. Favorites were Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Slim Harpo, Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, and Big Mama Thornton. When I saw Elvis singing B music in January of 1956, I was his forever!!! However, when I heard this, I felt he “bested” the best. I wish Elvis had recorded I’m A Man by Muddy. Could you review the 5+minute version with Johnny Winter on Guitar and yelling in the background? Please? By the way, your reactions are priceless!!!Thank You .
Yeeees my favourite time frame of Elvis , this was his genesis, his original roots, it was not promoted or encouraged, this is why he never felt totally in his element later on when they commercialised his talent, y the time he realised what they had done to him commercially he felt trapped and could not break free, a true tragedy,
BRO, You like blues music and I do too. ELVIS did a bluesy Christmas song entitled "Merry Christmas Baby", which you would like. I know the holiday season is long past, but every summer advertisers promote 'Christmas in July', maybe you can schedule this song around that time frame? THANK YOU!
Some great Soulful songs You would love are 1. "Wearin that loved on Look" 2. "You'll think of me" 3. "Only the Strong Survive" 4. "Talk in your sleep" And you still need to do the 1970 Vegas performance of 5."Polk Salad Annie"... if you thought he moved and got down in Suspicious Minds, the dancing and performing in that one is bound to have you giving him your wallet
And now we all know ! This didn't all from rock to blues and let's not forget he did ballots like no other ! Beautiful man talented good hearted! Rip elvis! Thank you for all your great music!❤
I often joke, Elvis could pop over to your house, and sing you the "Poison Warning Label" on your laundry detergent box. And it'd be utterly, ridiculously entertaining. 🤣🥃
YES! I LOVE THIS 💖💖💖💖 I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU REACTED TO THIS! WOW 😱😲😵💫💥 THANK YOU SO MUCH! King. Just letting you know 😉 Now onto the Elvis in the court house story: October 1956 Memphis. Elvis had just come back from Texas where he had done some live shows as part of an extended national tour. Elvis had pulled up into a gas station driving his $10,000.00 white Continental Mark II (the most expensive car on the market at the time) because Elvis smelled some fumes coming his car. His car alone turned heads but so did the driver what his side burns (which Elvis was made fun of for having but he did not care; he liked having sideburns so he went with that style). Soon enough several young ladies noticed that the driver was Elvis. Elvis agreed to give them all autographs. Ed Hopper the gas station owner claimed that he asked Elvis politely to move because he was holding the line up in front of the gas pumps. But witnesses (and Elvis) told a different story. Elvis told Ed Hopper that he would move in a minute. He had three more autographs to sign. According to Hopper, Elvis waved him off and claimed he did not know who Elvis was and that he would have asked anyone to move. Witnesses and Elvis claimed that after Elvis got back into his car to move it, Ed Hopper shoved himself into the open window of Elvis's car and said, "I don't care if you are Elvis Presley." And then hit Elvis in the back of the head (according to Elvis and witnesses). Elvis- who was actually known to have a temper (Elvis himself said it embarrassed him and that his temper had gotten him into some trouble at times during one interview)- jumped out of his car and swung back at Ed Hopper, giving him a black eye and a nasty cut above his left eye. One of the gas attendants saw Elvis swing at his 5'5" boss and ran to his rescue. He swung at Elvis and missed and Elvis swung back and connected and according to the gas station attendant "Elvis barely hit me in my left eye." When police arrived on scene, one officer noted that Ed Hopper was trying to unlimber a pocket knife. No one was hurt seriously. But all three parties were taken in by the police. Elvis said to one officer on scene justifying his actions, "I can take slurring remarks, but when somebody hits you, it's a different story." Before Elvis could post bail a whole gaggle of women came marching in to the police station and the head of the group said, "Where is our darling Elvis? We're more than happy to pay his fine." Well, Elvis posted his own bail. He went home. When reporters rang his house, his Dad answered the phone and informed them that Elvis was "out in the backyard feeding the mule". Well, the day after Elvis posted bail he had to go back to court. He chose to show up without a lawyer. So the photo of Elvis in the court room is from that day because of that incident. The two guys at the receiving end of Elvis's quote "ice cold blue stare" were both the gas station owner, Ed Hopper and his attendant- employee, Mr. Browne. The newspapers tried to make it look like an unfair fight, detailing Elvis's 6'1" (he was actually 6' even) and described Elvis as a "well built 21 year old with broad shoulders who if he wasn't a singer and guitar strummer, would have been in the heavyweight class". This is comparison to how they described Hopper as a "middle- aged man standing at 5'5" and weighing in at 130 pounds." Browne, the gas station attendant, was actually a giant at 6'5" and he was closer to Elvis's age. But the newspapers dumbed that part down. Anyway, those were the two guys Elvis was giving a cold stare to in the court room. And, yes, Elvis was declared innocent of all charges by the judge which made every female in attendance at that court hearing- and there was A LOT of them, to the point where the crowds had forced the police to shut down the whole street to traffic- very, very elated. Cheers and cries of joy could be heard "clear across the county". And so there you have it! I tried to make it as short as possible without skipping any of the important details. THANK YOU SO MUCH ONCE AGAIN, SIR VIBE 😃💖💙🎶💗🎶 TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌ & blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕
I know, right? I'm putting this song on the top of my playlist....I remember loving this one and I forgot all about it. How cool that Vibe is pulling up this amazing music! And his reactions are 'fire!' :)
@@mbrights3158 I'm the one who suggested it in the comments of his last reaction ("It's Midnight (listen Cilla)") so that's part of the reason why I was so shocked & awed. He has so many subscribers and has to scroll through many comments so I was REALLY shocked he saw the link I left him in the comments section & reacted to it. VERY pleasantly surprised I must say! And yes, Mr. Vibe's reactions are absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Totally 1,000% agree 👍
Hey, Elvis could be BLUE at times just Like any of us ...He liked to sing songs that were blue also, like Blue Seude Shoes, Blue Christmas, Blue Moon of Kentucky, and Blue Hawaii.
Hi Ray, did you watch the Elvis movie on Sunday? I hope you had tissues ready… it draws on every emotion possible… love, humour, frustration, anger and sadness… a film which brings Elvis to todays generation ❤
Blues songs by Elvis you should react to are The power of my love, where in that love don’t look, and It’s your baby, you rock it. Your reactions by the way or knocking it out of the park bro!👍🎸⚡️🎤🔥🙏
Play his his b side to his records, that's where his his music ,voice and the truth of his words were at,the ones the radio didn't think would catch a audiences notice
I like the Studio Version Better, not X rated !! The Guy with Elvis in the Plad Jacket, is BB King, they were good friends. Elvis Presley - Power Of My Love (Official Lyric Video) (2:35 min) blues/funk Blues Elvis Presley - Reconsider Baby (Extended Sax Version) 1960 (4:24 min) blues Elvis Presley Like a Baby Elvis is Back Album 1960 Blues
Hard to decide which genre Elvis does best because he does them all better than everyone else. I agree, the blues seems to be in his bone marrow. We remember you, Elvis, and we love you...still.
Fun facts Elvis was a truck driver before he was famous. The names he says Charlie was the band leader, Joe was his road manger, and Sunny was a body guard. Richard was a music producer and did a few stand ins in some of Elvis's movies. Sunny and Red wrote a book about Elvis that came out not long before he died. That book crushed Elvis. He couldn't believe his friends turned on him. It is such a sad story.
And that book was full of lies and personal information exposed in order to try to vindicate themselves from the obvious… that THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN GENUINE FRIENDS and got Elvis the help he needed. Real specialist doctors instead of conman doctor Nick, a drug rehabilitation program, and the firing of Parker. It’s complete BS that they couldn’t convince Elvis to do these things. They just didn’t care for anything other than “the money in the moment.”
Could you imagin bieng in that room when they were jamming , hearing elvis letting his gaurd down not givin a fuck, song sounds like hes letting off some steam at all the people that tried bringing him down, love this jam, butter my brother for finding this gem
Oh heck I lost. I DIDNT think Elvis ever said that word. Concerned about your health. I’m 79 and don’t do emails. There is a video of Elvis had to hold his pants up. No sound. A couple had taped Elvis with a crank on it. It was found by their children. Had to be his first recording. It was at a park. He just went up without his band he sang with there’s.
you'll like this recording on the Elvis album Back In Memphis. On the same album Without Love There Is Nothing, Another Elvis great album, From Elvis In Memphis, The songs Wearin' That Love On look, Only The Strong Survive, Power Of M y Love just a few. You Never heard Elvis like this

Glad you brought this song back into my life ;-) I wish he did more super bluesy, funky music. I haven't come across any others as "saucy" as this...but I haven't really looked either... I once remember hearing an even "funk"ier one, and I adored it, but never found it again. Maybe it's on the album this came out on.....Ok next adventure, look for that album to purchase. This song is truly amazing..off the charts.. So fun...so cool..smooth..saucy! 9:15 "you can't keep a hard pr** down...no you can't, keep it dowwwwnnn god!🤣 Ps: Elvis was inducted into the Blues Music Hall of Fame (criteria for induction into any Music Hall of Fame is: "mastery of the genre"). And he was also inducted into 4 more MHOFs: Rock&Roll, Country, Gospel, Rockabilly. So 5 induction in total. more than anyone in history. No one comes close! I'm callin him King of Music.
Please check out " the Bruno Kirby story "the magic of Elvis"...I tried to send it to you but had difficulty..I think you will enjoy the story... So "Elvis"....gotta love him.
