Hi~ Thanks for your reaction to FORESTELLA. For those who do not know about FORESTELLA, I'd love to tell you about this group briefly. They've met at a TV audition program called "Phantom Singer 2" which finds the best male cross-over quartet in South Korea in 2017 for the first time. These 4 guys were included(survived) in the final 12 singers among hundreds of applicants. And, the program PD divided those 12 amazing singers into 3 groups as the singers want. And, guess what? They(FORESTELLA = Forest + Stella(star)) won this contest!!! When they sing on the stage, they normally set their positions like this. The first one from the left side is Ko Woo-Rim(bass, a grad-schooler in vocal music), the second one is Kang Hyeong-Ho(soprano, ex-chemist researcher), the third one is Cho Min-Kyu(tenor, M.A. degree in vocal music) and the fourth one is Bae Doo-Hoon(tenor, musical actor) There're many amazing songs they've covered. FORESTELLA (vocal-crossover-group) are considered "kings of harmonies". They cover top songs of all genres in different styles, adding their own flavors, making each song their own, always respecting the original. Each voice is unique on its own (soprano to lowest bass), but when they create these incredible harmonies together, stunning! Technically highly qualified, they are able to produce (always live!) the most incredible sounds. 4 4singers can sound like 40. You've just hit the tip of an iceberg, please continue to react.

Huge difference between vocalists who have prepared themselves and can sing anything, with great quality, and other singers who abuse auto tune. These singers are so qualified that each interpretation is a true master piece.

You need to watch their Bohemian Rhapsody. It's just what you imagine Freddie had on his head. Forestella sing it all live, unlike Queen who left the stage to play a video of the Operatic section. Their Shape of You is a brilliant take too. The deep bass is Ko WooRim, (Classically trained, as is the Tenor, Cho Mingyu who sounds like Gaga). The Baritone is Bae Doo-Hoon whose training is in Theatre. The guy singing the high notes is Kang Hyung-Ho who was a Research Chemist, who sang part time in a Rock band. He had NO formal vocal training, prior to the show creating Forestella. He has a vast vocal range.

Forestella is so good!!! Every time they cover a song, they make it their own and put so much work into it! You should definitely check out their other covers, like "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Shape of You" and "Time in a Bottle". They also have original music videos you can check out: "Save Our Lives" and "Utopia". But really everything they do is gold, so you can't go wrong.

Some brief background about them: Forestella is a crossover vocal group formed in 2017 on the South Korean TV show Phantom Singer 2, which they won! The members are Ko Woorim, Kang Hyungho, Cho Mingyu, and Bae Doohoon. Woorim (1:39): bass, 27 years old, classically trained opera singer. Hyungho (2:39): tenor/falsetto sopranist, 34 years old, no formal training - he was the vocalist of an amateur rock band and worked as a chemical engineer and researcher. Mingyu (2:55): tenor, 32 years old, classically trained opera singer. Doohoon (4:11): tenor, 36 years old, musical actor. Forestella are amazing my bias is Ko Woorim (the one with the deep bass voice) and to be honest I've only been a fan for a couple of years as one of my friends sent me a tiktok of them covering Bohimien Rhapsody and since then I fell for them. I love their classical background which makes me feel all the emotions in the songs. Also you shuld check out their song Utopia as its amazing, powerful and so full of emotion

Welcome to Forestella. Their name is a combination of "forest" and the Latin/Italian word for star "stella". Their group name means a forest of stars. They are known for their amazing harmony when they sing together. I recommend their cover of Scarborough Fair oder Hijo de la Luna for wonderful harmonies.
