I have had the same cd in my car (and only cd I’ve ever put in it) for over 2 years (09 traverse) and while I don’t listen to it all the time, I do often and the guy who has been working in my car a couple times said he popped the cd out to see who it was because he liked it (always had it playing when I took to him). It’s Hardy’s cd with Give Heaven Some Hell on it. Hardy isn’t my favorite artist but I really like his newer rock stuff but it’s on my phone whereas the cd is easier to operate than my phone :)

I created my Demun Jones Radio station on Pandora back in 2012 and added Upchurch to the addition artists list around 2016. I have almost 600 thumbs up songs on it and zero need for 'radio'. I get what your saying, but the reason for radio is to promote trash so record labels can make money. Since making boatloads of money isn't in Upchurches mindset it just doesn't make sense to try and make more money instead of make better art.

There is ZERO doubt in my mind that if Upchurch signed with a label he would be one of top artists in music today, but Upchurch is too damn smart to give in to label contract demands. I GUARANTEE over the course of his life Upchurch will make more money than 90% of the people you hear on the radio today because he owns ALL of his own masters. The radio will NEVER play Upchurch because radio stations play who the labels tell them to play and as we know Upchurch will NEVER sign with a label. Just look at the exposure Jelly Roll has gotten over the past 18 months since he signed to a label. Upchurch had a far bigger following than Jelly, but Jelly wanted the exposure that a label brings.
