First time listening and reacting to HONEY by BOBBY GOLDSBORO 

Very sad song. When he sings that the "Angels came" that meant that his honey had died.

This song was released when I was six years old, and has been causing me to choke up and tears to run down my face ever since.

This is about grief, always LOVE each other as we never know our time when heaven calls.😢 It hurts like hell to be left here!

Hi Seyimi! Sorry this comment is late but I only just found this reaction today. Yes, this is a sad song, but I have always appreciated it for how beautiful it is, and what a great job Bobby Goldsboro does singing it! If you don't mind a suggestion I would like to recommend you read to the live version from 1971 or Carly Simon singing "That's The Way I Always Heard It Should Be"!

This is not a "love song"-anything but. It is a sad man reminiscing about his love that had tragically passed away. Remember the lyrics "one day while I was not at home, while she was there and all alone, the angels came..." You didn't pick up on the message from that? Take another listen to the song, and keep in mind what I told you.
