Ohhh Jessi, let's go. She is just raw and sweet, and real. She says she does the pop when she wants to, and can be bubble gum style if she wants when she wants, But she is a rapper and singer, American -born Korean that now is under J Park's label (she is in her mid 30's and has been in this game since she was 16 years old.) She is hilarious and keeps all these idols on their toes when she shows up because she says what she thinks and does not care what others think.) Many young idols (including Lisa) look up to her and how she has been able to pave and blaze her own path on these KPOP/KRAP streets. A good start would be her DINGO Killing Verse where she performs some of her songs. You get to see her range a bit.

She's a Jersey girl, lol raised in the US. She's an awesome rapper, but she also has a beautiful singing voice. All of her songs are great. I recommend Cold Blooded, NunuNana, and Drip.

I'm just crossing my fingers for a Jessi + Jeon Somi collab. Somi has a similar sort of vibe to Jessi IMHO, not in that she's really hip-hop, but just in being unapologetically herself.

I love Jessi! She keeps it real. I do believe that she grew up in New York. Not 100% sure. Definitely check out her other songs and ones that she has done with other Idols.

I think one of her best live performances is when she was on a rap contest in Korea called Unpretty Rapstar. It was the semi-finals, episode 7. I don't know if the network will let you post it, but it's a cool clip of her semi-final song and its really good and very raw. You could search 'Mnet Unpretty Rapstar Ep 7 Jessi semi finals' 🙂

She's been in Korea since she was like 15 years old for her music career. Her spits and bars are delicious. Her singing is on another level. You can react to numb, star, or arrived. She grew up going to church and sang in the church choir.

Jessi is def more HipHop and is absolutely the freakin Queen! She was born in NY, grew up in Jersey. She was under PSY's label for a while. Her stuff with Hwasa (another Queen) is great. Recommend Nunu Nuna, What Type of X, Cold Blooded, Zoom, Drip Yeah it's all good

The agencies don't want K-pop groups to be friends, they want to always keep it competition. But the K-pop groups don't feel that way.
