I am a 67 yr old ARMY Grandma and live in a "House of ARMY' with daughter (42), Grandson (20), and 2 granddaughters ( 16 - 13). My husband is 69 and also a fan. We have all kinds of merch in our bedrooms, including mine, and I have some items in a cabinet in the LR. Nope, this song didn't come from anyone else. It was written and presented to him. JK spends a lot of time making each video and song absolutely perfect. This is a solo project and is the last of the 7 members to have a solo project in 2022 or 2023. Their concerts sell out in less than 15 minutes all over the world. We call the time trying to purchase the tickets "The Hunger Games" and when you become ARMY (the fandom) you are "falling down the rabbit hole. J Hope (rapper) - Jack in the Box and he performed at Lollapalooza. Jimin - Face V - Layover Suga (rapper) - D Day (he performs at Agust D). He also had his own concert series this year. RM - (rapper and leader of the group) Indigo JK (Jungkook) - Golden Jin (the oldest member) - only released a single recorded with Coldplay. It is the second collab with Coldplay. The first My Universe. The three rappers; Suga, J Hope, and RM write and produce most of BTS' songs over their 10 year career. RM has the most credits in the Korean songwriters association. He got 32 bars. (That shows what kind of man JHope is, humble) So he better have done what he did. He got to write a song for his idol and then dance to it like he did when he was younger. You see, Jhope was just a dancer until he joined BTS and learned how to rap, and boy did he. He even shot the video on Cortlandt Alley where JCole's Simba was shot. He was thinking it through. Totally agree it was a great collab- people were hating on Jack Harlows verse but personally think it was fire and they flowed well in this track. Update though. if you haven't seen already, watch the LIVE version of this song and performance in a house with his american team of dancers along with his Korean team of dancers, it's incredible...also, the audacy live jk did literally right before he went to the army is insane.... that.s also live.I don't know of any song that sounds like, so not sure.

The fact that J Cole pops up only once in awhile and is very discerning about who he collabs with, only shows that he has a lot of respect for JHope. He took it to heart and didn’t take it lightly, knowing JHope was about to enlist. It was a sweet collaboration 💜😌 We didn’t feel like it detracted from JHope’s message to Army (the BTS fandom) as his last song before enlisting for his mandatory military service. 💜💜 We have so much love for JCole.

There was just a remix of this song released by Justin Timberlake and it is SO DAMN GOOD! There is also a remix of "Standing Next To You" by USHER coming in a couple days. I don't think he sampled any specific song... it's just that the entire feel of the song and instrumentation is purposefully late 90's early 2000's so it feels familiar to a lot of us.

And if you are even more interested, you should check out all BTS members solo and their group albums too. I promised BTS definitely worth it. Of course you may not like all of their songs but I am sure you will find something because they always give their best in every music they release and it's always with purpose. Quality is definitely priority for them.

JHOPE wrote that song as his “goodbye for now” to ARMY (BTS’ fandom), as he entered the military. J Cole agreed to collaborate, which was thrilling for JHOPE, as J Cole was his fav rapper. JHOPE 💯 let J Cole take the limelight and even symbolically honored him throughout the video with a million details from old J Cole content. The greatest thing about BTS is they’re not afraid to let other’s shine. People love to work with them, because they are well-versed in sharing the stage, boosting their collaborator, and they’re naturally kind and humble people. Agust D is SUGA of BTS (Agust D is reverse of DT Suga) and he just did a solo tour of 28 concerts from April to August, after the release of his album D-Day. He wrote the songs, rapped and sang and produced it too. Definately check out Daechwita. You’ll love it!
