Thank you Kelly for the awesome recommendation. 🔥 This song was sung with so much feeling! Loved the guitar solo by "Johnny Diesel" & how he joined them at the end with the singing 🤯 Loved it! 💜 I was a bit silly. In the video I asked what show this was but it's in the title 🤦♂ hahaha 🤣 Hope you guys enjoyed the reaction 😲 Please let me know what other songs you would like me to react to... You should check out John singing AC/DC’s song ‘It’s a Long Way to the Top if you Want to Rock and Roll’ live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. It’s something to behold!
Hey Hey It’s Saturday started as a children’s morning program before morphing into a Saturday night adult variety program for the kids that grew up with it..
I"m in my 50's and these band and singers were my teenage years and I will love them for ever... but we also have AWESOME modern artists from Australia as well.... I don't get stuck in one time in music... I was raised on Perry Como, Kenny Rogers, Hermanns Hermits etc... moved on to what I liked.. and now I move on to the modern stuff..... my recommendation would be Tash Sultana 'Jungle' in her bedroom... her first ever YT video she did that made her an international star now... and I have so many more.... I'll see if you have a pay for a listen option... and Tash is first on the list..... :D Thanks man... for your lovely and passionate responses :D x
Thank you for the comment (: I received your request on paypal and will do the request for you. I'm always excited to get recommendations of artists I have never heard of before & I was thinking just the other day if there are any younger aussie artists that I could react to, so thank you for that. Will probably be out in the next day or two 😊 ShaneyG 💜
I have reacted to that one but it's blocked by Sony not sure how others reactors did it but I did appeal the block so will see if they unblock it in 4 days 🤞 thanks for the comment 😊
I love to watch you face as these two powerhouses belt this one out of the park. (By they... Johnny Diesel is Jimmy Barnes' brother-in law). It gives my great joy to see the rest of the world discover some of the awesome talent Australia has to offer. ✌&❤form Australia my fellow human.
This Melbourne based TV show, 'Hey, Hey, It's Saturday' was a Saturday night institution in Australia. Many artists went on the show. People would watch the show before they went out for the night. It was on TV for many years and the host, Daryl Somers has an excellent singing voice, too. I've seen other videos of John Farnham on the show, and there are most likely more of Jimmy Barnes on it, too.
I love it when Diesal comes in after his guitar solo John just gives him his microphone. The sing When The War is Over. John does it alone and with Jimmy so find the right video. The Documentary about John is amazing, sad and happy. I am still waiting to see if and when it comes out on DVD. The CD is out but to me there is no point putting it on a CD. Sony will have to release the DVD because sales will be in the millions. Many Americans want it now because of reactors through Covid. John deserves to be heard by more people. Thank you.
Audio was fine for me.... Ah dear Jimmy and John have been mates for years....both had to battle for recognition in the early days....Jimmy was born in Scotland and I think he still has that brogue lol. This is the best version of this song. Yes in the early days here in Australia the radio programs only played American music...it was very hard for Aussie artists.
Just subbed. Love anything from these two legends. They did When the war is over as a duet, too. Awesome, although i prefer John Farnham's version, or Jimmy Barnes's Cold Chisel version to the duet. They are all phenomenal
I'm going to suggest you check out one of Jimmy's newer songs this one was released last year just after Jimmy's 66th birthday. Only maybe 6 people have reacted to this song. The song is Soothe Me with Sam Moore. Sam is from the group Sam And Dave a legendary soul group from America. Actually I think Sam and Dave originally sung the song you just reacted to. Glad you have found Jimmy and John.
So glad you did this version, most do another which doesn't do this song justice. Anything from these guys is worthy of a reaction. They're great mates but their careers for the most part were separate & Jimmy Barnes is renowned from his band with Ian Moss called "Cold Chisel". Between the 3 they'll forever be Australia's finest artists. Though we've many. Most don't chase international fame nor that Hollywood celebrity like lifestyle. Just the nicest of blokes! Married for almost as long as their careers.
I just recently did a cold chisel song yesterday for the first time "Bow River" was a ton of fun. Also done 3 John Farnham reactions. I'm going down the rabbit hole 😊 They all such great musicians & have fantastic stage presence 🕺
You have to do Bow river by Cold Chisel . The 2003 version is one of the best live performances ever. The harmonica is incredible , but Jimmy Barns takes a back seat until the end letting Ian Moss showcase his silky smooth vocals.
Great Reaction again ShaneyG, thank you for sharing. Also try Barnesy & Farnsey singing 'When the War is Over'. It is yet another awesome duet from our two Australian Legends. P.S. How tall are you? you sound like you might be about 6ft 6?
I'll check out 'When the war is over' soon it's been requested quite a bit 😊 & you are pretty close I'm 6ft 4 😋 Pretty tall. I have a cave for a chest hence why I sound like that 🤣
Awesome song and performance. Check out John and Olivia newton-John live singing “please don’t ask me” so beautiful and emotional and such a great performance.
I'm torn. I'd start with the studio first. Then when you find out how crazy Neil Peart is on the drums you can watch one of his live solos....they are insane
@@bob2shred894 it's all good 😊 I know Rush from my days at music school but don't think I paid that much attention cause all i wanted to do back then was play Metal 🤘 now I'm starting to appreciate these other musicians a lot more these days. I'll probably do a reaction soon 😊 watch everyone be like you should of watched the live version like they did with John Farnham tho I usually just like listening to studio songs first to get the full sound quality.
@@ShaneAlanGower blame me for that if it happens. Lol I didn't really discover rush till I was about 17. Been to quite a few of the shows . The only reason I say watch the studio on is the live versions are not always the best recording. I love the studio version better unless I'm at the show and can feel the music. I will not complain either way, live or studio.
Outlast Trials tonight Shane?? Like... I'm not going to lie lol, I really want to see you play it as this type of content is awesome but I really miss the gaming, especially Outlast fam! Alot of people associate me with Outlast but I really want to see you stream it fam! Pleaaaseeee haha! Much love
If you give me money to buy it then i will play it :p just dont think I'm going to spend that much on games any more. Even tho it not that expensive but just don't feel like paying for it 🤣
@@ShaneAlanGower yeah... no money Shane, no apologies either lol, need every dollar I got cause times are tough right now. Outlast Trials is only $30. I was able to afford it. But I need to keep my cash for games. I just wondered if you'd be playing it. I've been getting Atomic Heart done. Street Fighter 6 releases June 2nd. There's alot I need to keep it for, you know! Summer of Gaming is coming up and I need to keep my money to afford them. Much love fam!
@@SlcKnight I will probably play it one day just not sure when. Money is also pretty tight this side hence why I gave up the gaming videos and streams to much work and money spending on games with not enough returns. I'll probably come back to streaming one day but just with games I have already or free games. Much love 😊✌
