Hello. Hahaha. The Musicians Tempo was a bit faster than what should be, so Gigi was not able to come in and sing it because of the speed. You will notice she even said "Ang Bilis"(too fast) at the intro part. So she gave it another round trying to drag them to slow down while clapping-out a tempo. All of this really happens in Live takes. What is admirable there is that they did not stop and retake that part. Because in live concerts you do not do that. You improvise and your work on what can be worked on while on live. The show must go on. For me,. this is salutes and respect to the Team's/Band's professionalism and musical ability to adjust and cope up. Power-On to your Channel.
After hearing Gigi sings like hell in UNHOLY now hear her sing like an angel in ANGEL BABY, ALL I ASK or BUTTERFLY take your pick. You wouldn't believe it's the same singer. Tnx 4 d reactions!
Nice reaction, Jen! It's been a while since I've seen one of your reactions so I've forgotten how good you are. If you watch enough Gigi videos, you'll know they like to troll her sometimes. That's what's going on at the start of the song. They purposely started at a faster tempo to throw her off. Notice that they immediately snapped into the proper (slower) tempo as soon as Gigi started singing. Gigi has a great connection to her band which is the product of the thousands of hours they've spent rehearsing and performing.
Insane performance by them that just elevated the original song. If you haven’t done it, I highly recommend you to check out her cover of Better Days! Brilliant vocals paired with amazing storytelling. One of my favourites 💯
Very first genre for her Rock maybe a little of metal Many were shocked in a good way and not so good way Others want Gigi to stay old fashioned way , BASHERS had fun but Gigi just proved she is a true great artist and will show the world her passion and love for her craft Her fashion changed too depending on the song Love her sexy moves Gigi can do anything and we love her for that , she follows her heart , she has along ways to go showing us her creative unique talent and she’s unbelievable ❤❤❤
Jennifer, may I suggest that you react to the elusive (and yet Tony-nominated) Jordan Donica? He mostly does musical theater: Raoul in Phantom of the Opera, Freddie E-Hill in My Fair Lady, Lafayette and Jefferson in the touring company of Hamilton, and Lancelot in the remake of Camelot last summer, for starters. And his cover of Flowers from Hadestown is pretty amazing, too.
Hi please do react to philippines Girl Group G22 "babalik" "boomerang" "bang" on wish bus their vocals are very great like little mix in the philippines
Gigi legitimately stole this from Sam Smith, and I don't think he minds one bit. He's probably wondering why he didn't come up with something like this as he watches this video over and over again😂😊
Sam Smith may have written it, but Gigi's version is now the definitive version. Why is this girl not better known and everywhere? Want a superb male singer to review? Try Jonah Nilsson from a group called Dirty Loops - he is spectacular. Dirty Loops are 3 friends who attended The Stockholm Royal Academy of Music together to study classical composition and Jazz. They write a lot of their own music and are managed by Quincy Jones. The group are Henrik Linder Bass Guitar, Jonah Nilsson Keyboards Vocals, Aron Mellergård Acoustic Drums. Try “Breakdown” to start ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p56ahCk49ss.html. Don't forget to check out the credits at the end, they are always hilarious.
This is how you do a cover. The beginning part was Gigi saying that it was too fast. She had slow it down. But love how they dont take themselves too seriously. Also, this is how your pal Peter Barber discovered and fell in love with Gigi. ❤❤❤😊
So much fun Jen, next from Gigi would be great to see your reaction to her version of fly me to the moon (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9_5nTgS9qeg.html). Cheers
Hi Jennifer! Kindly react to Gigi De Lana's cover of Diane Reeves' "Better Days". It's probably one of the best examples of where she has incoeporated most of the skills she has in her vocalist toolbox in a single performance.
Nice reaction.on point!!!!glad you react on gigi again.new subs here.please react to her on decode(paramore),house of the rising sun(animals).fly me to the moon(frank sinatra)and torn(natalie imbruglia)thanks ..

Jennifer -- I love that you loved it. Being an older guy, I can only profess my bias in You Tube comment section. Plus, it doesn't feel creepy when other people are loving GG and the GG Vibes.
thanks for racting & analyzing to our miss Gigi & the Gigi Vibes.. would you try her cover of Lady Gaga's " Always Remember us this way " its soo good thier rendition as far more vibing kind.. and she do paramore DECODE and avril lavigne IM WITH YOU.. btw New Subs here.. looking forward to your gigi vibes reaction and analyzing.. see you in the next 😊
I may have mentioned this before but, you seem to have many reactions to Morissette, and you reacted to Katrina Velarde, KZ, and Gigi De Lana, but I'm trying to clue you in to who I think is the best singer in the Philippines and maybe the world, Jona Viray. Here's part of a recent performance at one of her three tour dates in the USA from a few days ago--this clip includes her singing opera, which she is taught herself in the last few years, and classical. This is an audience recording but there are many professionally recorded videos of her if you want better quality. Queen of the Night, Nessun Dorma, Con Te Partirò, Barbra Streisand Medley, The Prayer (with Jed Madela) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s7VQiz_B3b8.html
Great storytelling by Gigi De Lana! Its like she brought to life Harley Quinn's story about her kooky neighbor, 3 doors down from her apartment! Whooooah indeed!
Love your reaction & analysis, Jen, as always. This is my first exposure to Gigi De Lana. She is obviously very talented but just not my cup of tea. Sort of reminded me of Alanis Morissette, with all the flips. Not a fan. The song has a definite Middle Eastern feel to it. Not sure where I'm going with this. Just venting, I guess.
Jennifer! My first time with Gigi De Lana as well. I'll say right off it's not particularly my style in music but her voice is intriguing. I read in the comments below that she does some rock stuff that might not be as ... "metalish"? This song isn't quite fitting with my 70's/80's view of rock I guess. I would love to hear something else a little less hellish from her for sure. As you point out she has great control to be able to keep this up for a whole song! Great reaction and analysis as always Jen!
Personally, i dont think Gigi is focus on the various vocal techniques needed to pull off this song. Personally, as her countrymen, when we sing, we just personify the character in the song and try to tell the story. In order to do so effectively, we use little nuances in our voice in order to dramatize the emotions needed. Its confusing actually. But all you need is to feel the song and the voice takes care of the rest. You dont worry about vocal techniques or whatnot anymore.
Their cover of "You oughta know" is well worth a listen, especially for the the bloopers at the end - they are all laughing and goofing, but the music just keeps going.
