Girls Generation is basically the blueprint for girl groups, even Blackpink was supposed to have 9 members. Girls Generation's debut song (Into The New World) was literally sung at protests and this song (Gee) basically began the craze for the cute concept. They were LEGENDARY and without them or 2ne1 a lot of girl groups wouldn't even exist today.

I will say tho, what a producer once said. Whenever you listen to a song you can immediately tell it's from Girls' Generation, EXO, 2ne1, or one of the vanguard groups. Nowadays must groups just try to replicate them and don't innovate.

So all the Girls' Generation members have successful individual careers too. They are that group were every member was (and still is) popular. They paved the way for girl groups to dominate. Before them a girl group didn't stand a chance of out selling a boy group. SNSD changed that. Tiffany - has launched a solo career in both Korea and America. Her stuff is fire. She is also currently active in a the Chicago stage play in Korea and she is going to be a mentor woth Sunmi on Girls Planet 999. Hyoyeon - she literally is the dancing queen. She broke the stereotype that female idols could only dance a certain way and she is very well respected. She has solo songs and is also a successful DJ as well going under the title DJ Hyo. Sooyoung, Yuri, Yoona, and Seohyun have all released solo music and are all pursuing successful acting careers in movies and kdramas as well. Sunny - she is the member I know the least about when it comes to what shr is up to unfortunately. Jessica - she launched her own fashion brand and is very successfully managing her company. She has released solo music too and she recently wrote a young adult fiction book. Taeyeon - I need not say much about her you guys have seen her versatility and power. She is having a comeback in July. Let me put GG into context. They have consistently remained within the top 15 girl group brand rankings even though they haven't released anything since 2018. SNSD is called the Nations girl group for good reason. That is not to say other girl groups like 2ne1 were not responsible for paving the way as well.

Funfact : Taeyeon hated gee so much that when she heard it, she cried 😂 but the songs she didn't like always ended up doing very well, gee swept the nation and set a record for number of weeks it placed first on the charts. I highly recommend you guys to watch you think and all night MV

Girls Generation was my first love in kpop and I will always be thankful for them and go back to them. They're the only girl group who basically tried all concept and slayed it. Girl crush, cute, badass, innocent, sexy and all. They remain as the Queens for me.

when you said you reacted to shinee i was wondering if you'd recognize Minho, our Gee boy! And Jessica was on their Sherlock MV (SM used to do these cameos a lot back then).. Shinee and Girls' Gneration are actually really close friends since they both debuted only 1 year apart (GG 2007/ SHINee 2008), shinee are like their little brothers (except onew whos the same age as most of GG)

SNSD are LEGENDS. They didn't disbanded. They're not active as group but members are SO active individually Imagine a group that has everything. Vocalist, dancers, models, runaway models, pro DJ, CEO, songwriters, authors, producers, vocal director, choreographers, translators, fashion designers, voice actresses, musical actresses, actresses, chefs..... We can't explain them with words. Recommendations: -Into The New World (2007) their debut song. It's a global anthem for empowerment. So many people use this song in protests etc. Lyrics are so beautiful -Genie (2009) -The Boys (2011) - I Got A Boy (2013) - Mr. Mr (2014)

Taeyeon is the most famous soloist but other members have solo careers as well. Some are still in sm others aren't but they're all pretty popular in korea because girls generation was the biggest gg in the country for so many years

Besides taeyon some of them have solo too, like hyoyeon/hyo & yoona. Most of them also active on musical theaters and korean drama/movies.

Girls’ Generation are the nations girl group and queens of kpop named by SouthKorea themselves. EVERY single girlgroup was influenced by them. Also they paved the way for girlgroups, without them girlgroups would’ve never been so popular now.

the smiles on your faces when you were watching 😂 same, this vid never ceases to make me smile. this song has definitely aged but it's a kpop classic, and actually everyone in this group is famous in their own right which is interesting. it's very much the same as shinee where most of them have their own unique jobs outside of the group. taeyeon's thing is solo albums as are seohyun and tiffany, seohyun's also an actress, yoona is an actress, jessica (former member) is a model and brand ambassador...they do a lot 🤣🤣

OMG SNSD! I've been a sone since this era. This song is sooo iconic. Looong before Blackpink and BTS took over the world, SNSD were the queens and at the top of the game! :) Now they are currently on hiatus and focus on their individual activities. Can't blame them, they've been in the industry for over 14 years. :) They are trully a legend of the 2nd kpop generation. Some BTS members once mentioned in an interview that the first album they bought was SNSD's Gee. lol. Please continue reacting to them. Now, All nine member are masters in their own field. Models, Actresses, Theater actress, Soloist, DJ, MCs, Business owners. Even though there are only 8 in the group, that is still a big achievement. Knowing that they have their own careers now but when they come together. They are powerful asf. BTW, they have their guesting this September 1st in Yoo Quiz. All the 8 members are there.

Every single girl.... All 9 of them have very successful individual careers. They cover a wide spectrum of the entertainment world whether be Singing, acting, musical theater, MC, Variety shows, DJ, Radio Personal, etc.. They are all household names. Taeyeon is mostly active in the music scene unlike the others. But if you want their solo music career check out the other 3 who're active... Tiffany Young and Jessica Jung are both soloists in the USA. Then Hyoyeon/HYO is promoting in Korea. The maknae line are all successful actress Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun. Then we have Sunny who's a successful musical actress, radio personal and Variety Queen. All the vocal line have been in at least one musical.

Ikrrr SM's sounds are ahead of timeeeeeeee. And now look at nct and aespa. Especially nct bcs since their early debut many people called them weird, calling their music construction sounds, calling them SM's failure, flop, etc. Bcs the world werent ready enough for them.......ut since 2020 many people start realizing their existence 😭

its so funny you mentioned SHINEE while Minho is literally on the video. I was so proud of you guys when you found out at the end. LOL Also, this is where the famous "Listen boy. My first love story." line came from. I enjoyed this alot. They also had alot of ballads. I really like "star star star" and the ballad rendition they did for their debut song "into the new world". I still listen to both from time to time.

I definitely grew up listening to girls generation and wonder girls. But I stop for along while but I can strongly say gee and genie and nobody stuck with me the longest my father introduce me to music and I would say these are the first few songs I heard that are not the wheels of the bus, and baba black sheep
