Hey everyone!
Hope you’re all having a wonderful day :) Today, I’m reacting to something completely new for me; a Chinese song! As requested, I am reacting to Hua Chenyu, performing Nunchucks live at Singer 2018.

It's good because you understand the background of this song before. Hua Chenyu is one of the most talent and versatile artist. He can sing rock, rap, pop music, classical music, ballad, opera etc. Playing instruments is his strength. He is a great composer too. His voice just like water blending into music with different tones. He has endless styles for you to discover. Keep on reaction then you will know. Thx !

Hua ChenYu is now the Top performer in China. His concert tickets 90,000 pieces fr one night sold out in less than 2 mins. That's crazy. He is not only a singer, he is all round performer n a music Composer who plays many different type of musical instruments. He has endless styles n always gives surprises. That's why every year hard to get tickets fr his concert. Check him out more n u know what I mean. Nunchucks original is just a simple rap but he used 48 hrs to rearranged n change it 100%. He added many elements into it. Classical piano to Rap to rock to Chinese traditional opera. I never seen a performance like this before. Very explosive n powerful performance.... the rap was so fast, so fierce yet so clear n on the point. Full of energy.

It truly was amazing! I loved all the stylistic shifts throughout the song. That opera section was beautiful, the rap/rock was intense and fluid. A lot was going on here, but he made it all fit together so well.

More Hua Chenyu..... Please, please, please! If you react to 10 of his songs, you will get 10 different styles, and awesome performances. He will never fail to entertain or impress. And he just turned 29 this week..... He is an even more impressive human being than he is a singer.... The most humble, genuine, kind, caring, and even shy, person.

Fun to come back to your first reaction to Hua Chenyu. We have all come a long way with him. His first audition for Super Boy was a real stand-out moment in time, also. How Laure Shang stood up for his difference to get him on the competition made me a big fan of her. And his duet with her, besides how I love her singing and her voice. Thanks again. First perspectives are always fun!! Someone said Jessie J was guaranteed to win, and she was understandably worried when he came in as a challenger. I never saw her happy about him being on the show. So close. He came in second, just like Dimash. I still can't believe it. The only 2 singers I really listen a lot to, and they came in second! Like putting the Beatles, great concert in Portland, Oregon, back in the day, 2nd to Herman's Hermits. Another group from the 60's who were cute but no contest. Guess I have no clue who she is, so I'm rambling. Stay safe out there. On to more HuaHua!!😎😇😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷

Hua Chenyu is a real gem. I also have never listened to any asian artist. Two months ago I stumbled upon Nunchucks video and now I'm obsessed with Hua 😁 I have never seen a singer so versatile, so dedicated to music and performance. No one can portray the song and emotions in it like him. He is not just a singer, he is an artist, composer and a true performer. He also has a very interesting and adorable personality. On stage he is a beast, powerful and confident but off stage he is very humble, shy, stay at home guy 😊

omg me too! i've never listened to any music from asia countries apart from my country indonesia, i was quite biased when it comes to music i prefered to listen to western music. until i remember when i watched one episode of Singer 2018, i was so impressed with one singer other than jessie j. so i looked him up, and i found him with the video that made that amazing first impression to me (Fake Monk). after that, i watched all of his Singer performances and then The Next, then his concerts, then festivals, etc. i couldn't stop until now! and he continously impressed me. he's sooo unique, i've never seen anyone in the western music industry that could sing like him. he set both male and female singers standard really really high. he's that good

Very strong praise for Hua Chenyu here! Given how strong this performance was, I can understand where you’re coming from. He was able to switch between styles seamlessly, his vocals were strong in all the styles present in the song, and he was very animated throughout the whole performance. I'm really impressed on your take on this song! Your attention to details is remarkable! Just as a random information, Hunan TV encourages reactions to all the performances in their show "Singer" so no need to cut the videos. Hua Chenyu is an artist like no other, happy you can experience his vision over music. If you'll continue you'll notice that he is totally devoted and immersed in his craft and nothing else matters to him. You have a subscriber here btw 😁

Most of the time, chopping up the songs is the only way to ensure fair use of the material, but if they actually encourage reactions, I’ll go ahead and try to include the full clip! Oh my god, the logo on your T-Shirt looks like the official logo of Hua Chenyu’s Mars concerts (composed of three letters HCY). What a coincidence!

Not sure if you're aware but he rearranged this entire song, the original was just a rap song. He had a group of people record the choir part just for this performance, he made them record it over and over again and man, it just shows you how dedicated he is to music.

I actually didn’t know hat the original was a rap song until some viewers mentioned it to me in the comments section. I was impressed with how he was able to perform such a song, but to think he actually turned a rap song into this is mind-blowing. Especially how quickly he did it (48 hours right?). Absolutely amazing!

I didn't know that either haha I just know that he got a bunch of people to record over and over again cause he was picky and he was inspired to add the Chinese Opera part into the song when he was fishing, you can see all this in the full episode of 'Singer' and when the staff as him why he is so stubborn, its not like some of the audience can tell and he said it doesn't matter what the audience think, what he produce has to meet his standard and if he only produce for the sake of the audience then....errr I forgot LOL but I just remember being really impressed with the way he views music and having such a standard simply amazing :)

Singer 2018 no copy rights issue thus no need edit the original video U can find his song with English Sub easily. "hua ChenYu English Sub" has lots of clips. Hope u enjoy His music.

Haha, a few people mentioned my shirt in the comments, and I was a bit confused at first. The logo on the shirt is actually Seth Rollins' (a wrestler in the WWE), but now that I've googled it, I see the resemblance between his and Hua Chenyu's logos; quite the coincidence!

I chopped up the song to avoid copyright issues, but I later found out through you guys that the network that carries these performances actually encourages reactions, so my other Hua Chenyu reaction has the full song 😊 As for the shirt, I normally get those from WWE’s website, but I actually got that one from Hot Topic in Las Vegas haha

A scan of your music playlists suggest that you react to mostly US based singers and few ex-US videos (such as KPOP). There is a large number of singers outside the US who are far superior to what we have in the US, to the point that I can never go back and listen to the radio again to hear good music. The Philippines in particular has a number of outstanding singers; one who I highly recommend is Morissette Amon who has been discovered not only on RU-vid but also by Mariah Carey's former producer and got a signed contract with Capitol Records. She may come out with an album later this year and may become a rising superstar. first time here, but i hate reactors who cut videos 🙄🙄🙄 like if your viewers can watch your whole videos, why cant you just react to the whole thing? other reactors dont cut videos too 🙄🙄🙄🙄

The reason I generally cut the videos/songs I react to, is to ensure fair-use of the content. When I first started RU-vid, I usually included songs and videos in their entirety, and in certain cases, those videos got taken down by RU-vid a few months later. Of course, not all content gets taken down, it depends on who it belongs to and whatnot, but cutting the content is safe practice if you react to a wide variety of content and want to avoid copyright strikes and possibly having your channel deleted. With that said, after this Hua reaction, it was brought to my attention that the channel that broadcasts these Hua performances actually encourages reactions, therefore the rest of my Hua Chenyu reactions include performances in their entirety.
