To answer your question, not every single girl or boy group has a rapper. But it is very common. Like in BTS the main rappers are RM (formerly Rap Monster), Suga and J-Hope. The other vocalists and dancers are V, Jungkook, Jin, and Jimin. BlackPink has Jennie and Lisa for the rappers, and Ji-Soo and Rose (Rose-ay). To become kpop star they train really hard as a trainee in some company waiting for their debut. So they need to be good looking, dance well, sing or rap well to debut in a group. And yes, all the music videos are amazing and most of the time they need to act. The person you want to know in call me baby music video is Kai (EXO’s main dancer, an actor and also a model- had been invited for gucci fashion show in France last summer) EXO is well known as one of the top vocal group and also one of the top group in K-pop. They have 9 members but one of them is not promoting with the group right now because of a few reasons. They have 3 main vocal (but all of them can sing), 3 main dancers, 2 main rappers. They are not only focusing on singing as a group, they also has their own solo career as a solo singer, actor, musical actor and a model. One of them also composed his own solo album. 3 of them is a musical actor and all of them have been acting in a drama or movie. EXO is a multitalented group. All of their song is a BOP. Unfortunately, EXO is only doing a promotion in Korea China and Japan (mainly focusing in Asia) but they also have a lot of fan around the world and doing their concert in a few countries outside Asia. Sorry if I’m commenting a lot in your comment section but I just want to explain the question that you asked in the video about how can all of good looking and talented people can be in one group?. First of all, all of them had to go through auditions and training systems. Most of them have been trained for almost 2-3 years or more before the company choose a few talented trainee in their company and formed a group. Visual is a main thing for certain company but talent is also important. They have singing, acting and language classes during their training time(depend on the company). It needs a lot of effort just to join a group. The bigger the company in the industry (K-pop), the higher the difficulty for them to debut (a lot of trainees aka talented people).

To the music shows and variety shows to help promote. To the major companies these groups are a part of... It'll make your head spin. I got into it because I love dancing and some of their dance practices are so good. Those are definitely worth checking out.

yeees!! all MVs are out of this world! It's even to the point where they link several MVs together to tell longer, short-film style, stories. BTS is particualrly good at this but lots of groups do it. It makes it so that the more of these gorgeous videos you watch the more you can glean from the symbolism and the more they make sense...and makes you want to watch more. Also A LOT of focus in put on live performances and the dance aspect. catchy, unique, and well executed choreographies are almost as important as the songs themselves. Sometimes people in Kpop do use a lot more lip-sync than western artists during live perfromances, but I don't really see why that bothers people because they're still performing these amazing dances (unlike western artists who lip-sync and are aren't even doing anything) and still the vast majority of the time they ARE singing live and singing and dancing at the same time is just so impressive. Overall kpop is a super visual art form which is why it's so easy for international fans to fall in love with it. you don't have to understand everything to enjoy it. Also they have incredible song producers so it pretty much every beat will sound great. and Kpop actually covers so many genres you just have to find the groups that make the kinds of sounds you like

oh hells yes! I just started watching your Supernatural reactions and then this popped up in my feed and I clicked so fast! sci-fi/fantasy tv and kpop. those are my things. I was a massive sci-fi nerd and kpop was the last thing I thought I would ever enjoy and then I randomly saw a BTS vid and decided to check out their lyrics and their lyrics were deep as hell. since then they have totally dragged me into the entire world of kpop and Korean television (specifically variety shows) which so much more funny and wholesome than anything the US has to offer. That said, I haven't even watched your reaction yet, but I'm excited because I know you're both funny and down to earth. Currently there is 9 members in Exo, in Call Me Baby there was 10, but one of the members left.
