OMG I'm so happy you're finally reacting to them! They are such an amazing group full of talented girls and their concept/story (which is very complicated btw, I think you'll have to watch some videos to understand it a bit because it's extremely hard to explain) is so particular. Next I suggest you to react to maybe Hi high, their debut song, or to Vivid by Heejin, the first of their solos. Also I'm sure you will particularly love their music videos, the producing is always impeccable. P.s. that's actually Yves the creator of the video must have gotten confused ;)

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just want to let you know a few facts: 1.they have lore called the loonaverse 2.they had a pre debut project that costed them 9 million dollars 3. thier korean name is “girl of the month” and because of that each member reveals themselves every month (for example: heejin (pink) was the first girl to be revealed in october, and then hyunjin in november etc.) 4.their pre debut project also had 3 subunits for the group (1/3, odd eye circle, yyxy) 5. yeojin (orange) was not in each subunit because her being 14 at the time and having to study in school. 6. at 4:34 kim lip (red) did not sing that line, it was yves (brown). my request is react to why not(my favorite title track of loona)

So LOONA (이달의 소녀 or Idarui Sonyeo or The girl of the month) is a 12 member girl group under Blockberry Creative. They debuted as one group on 20, August with Hi High. Before their debut they had a huge 18-month predebut project where every member were revealed every month. Every girl has solo song and MV. In between their solos they release unit’s album. They start in October, 2016. The first was Heejin. Heejin (Vivid) - November, 2016 Hyunjin (Around You) - December, 2016 Haseul (Let me in) she is the leader of the group - January, 2017 Yeojin (Kiss later) - April, 2017 Vivi (Everyday I love you) And they form a unit LOONA 1/3 (“Love&live”, “Sonatine”) not including Yeojin. In May, 2017 Kim Lip (Eclipse) - June, 2017 Jinsoul (Singing in the rain) - July, 2017 Choerry (Love cherry motion). They form another subunit Odd Eye Circle (Girl Front, Sweet crazy love). In November, 2017 it was Yves (New) - December, 2017 Chuu (Heart Attack) - January, 2018 Gowon (One and only) - March, 2018 Olivia Hye (Egoist). They form a subunit yyxy (love 4ever) Then they have group releases Title tracks in release order: Favourite - Hi High - Butterfly - So What - Why Not - Star - PTT (Paint The Town) To notice one thing, they have a lot of theories in their MV. We call it Loonaverse or Loona lore, it starts with Heejin’s MV, includes every solo, every unit, every group MV, teasers, some videos from closed showcases). Every girl has her own official colour, animal, and girls from yyxy unit have fruits and also Choerry has. It plays a very very VERY important role in lore and helps understand their MVs. I recommend yt channel Hidey1, he uploads videos about loonaverse Loona's English name is derived from the Hangul letters ㅇㄷㅇㅅㄴ, each an initial consonant in the syllabic blocks that make 이달의 소녀 (Idarui Sonyeo). When rearranged to ㄴㅇㅇㄷㅅ, it resembles LOONA in the Latin alphabet.

Finally! I've been waiting for this! For a reactor, Loona is a great group because they have a lot of content. Also, I know your interest in music videos and their MVs are seriously great.

The fire in Haseul's scenes is intentional, because she was represented with phoenix-like imagery for a couple of comebacks (feathers on fire and stuff like that), because her representative animal is a bird and she was on hiatus. Everything in LOONA MVs was lore. Same with the three members with colored eyes, the garden thing, the black hole, all of it.

Loona each have their own colours which are shown throughout the mv, the thing about the glowing eyes, three members which form the subunit odd eye circle have those, choerry has the purple eye, jinsoul has the blue eye and kim lip has the red eye.
