Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already recorded 4 full length studio albums, in addition some EPs and Singles and a bunch of live albums, available on CD and DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They will be in the US for the first time later this year. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Dear friend T.T ❤ I'm so happy you enjoyed my favorite band! More than half of my shirt drawer is LOVEBITES tees lol. I also love Styx btw! So the singer, Asami, has her roots in gospel/R&B. LOVEBITES was her first venture into metal. Midori is the guitarist of whom you complemented physique. She's been a professional bodybuilder for a couple years now, so wait until you see her now lol. Miyako is the other guitarist (and pianist). She writes a good majority of their music. She started playing classical piano when she was 3, so she is not just a guitar virtuoso, but also a piano virtuoso. Miho is the bassist, one of the founding members who used to be in a group called Destrose. She left the band in 2021. There was originally a post by her on their official fan website saying that after the anniversary of her father's passing that she was reflecting on her dad's life and how she was living her's. She still plays music but has yet to join/start a new long-term band (other than the cover band Down Dope Squad and a one-night cover band The Midnight Roses). The drummer is Haruna, the other founding member of LOVEBITES and also former Destrose member. She's tiny and cute but packs a lot of heat.

It's getting harder and harder finding reactors that are Lovebite Virgins. So I jump at the chance everyone pops up. I agree, Holy War is an excellent intro song to the group. It probably exemplifies their base type of song better than any other. I like maybe 5-10 songs better than this one but it's still a great song. I saw Styx 3 times in the 70's. It was one of the few rock groups we could get the girls we knew to go see as they all loved disco. :( My main problem with disco was dudes had to be 23 to get into the disco clubs but girls could be 18. Drinking age was 18 then. So when our girls wanted to go to a disco, us guys are stuck drinking beer in the parking lot when 25 year old dudes are hitting on them inside!!!! You learn to hate disco real quick.

Enjoy them all and by the way, Styx at one time were my favorite band, this would have been waaaay before you were born, they are still among my favorite classic rock bands. 👍🤘🐺

You should see her physique now, after she has won two silver medals in Japanese bodybuilding competitions. Her name is Midori. They use backing tracks for synth and piano when they occur. Miyako (Greek goddess) plays them in the studio. They don't use them so much that it would justify hiring a sixth member. The singer's name is Asami. She has an R'n'B background. This was their old bassist, Miho. Since 2022 they have a new one, a young prodigy called Fami. And the drummer is called Haruna and is the shortest member at 4'9''. They call her "Little Big Engine". They are based in Tokyo and have been a band since 2016. In September they go on their very first (and very short) US tour. In Japan, the Beatles' first concert in Japan about half a century ago triggered a band boom that has continued uninterrupted to the present, with several hundred groups of women's bands alone. One of the top groups among them is LOVEBITES. The band's founder and leader, bassist Miho, had a dream of one day playing on stage at the Wacken Open Air in Germany, a dream that was difficult to realize since no Japanese female bands had ever been invited to Wacken. For this reason, she gathered band members who were capable of taking on that dream. That is how LOVEBITES was founded. Most of the members were small, and they thought that they would not stand out on stage in the kind of costumes worn by ordinary metal bands, so they chose "white" feminine stage costumes, which had been taboo in the metal scene until then, and which risked being shunned by others and treated like lone wolves. They chose the wolf as the band's symbol.

Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in a band called Destrose that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho, any 2022 or later it will be 'new girl' Fami. The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior' Miyako, Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. the 'serious' one with long black hair. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was about 16. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. I really enjoyed some metal bands in the 70s and the 80s, but certainly not as much as Lovebites nowadays. And they are fantastic live even in mediocre venues ❤🤘🏻🇫🇷

About the princess dresses. When Lovebites was touring Europe as the opener for the band Dragonforce Asami (singer) was interviewed by a French metal mag and they asked her about the dresses. Her response, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also, we are all small and the white and gold makes it easier to see us on stage." And they ARE smol. The tallest, Miyako (dark haired guitarist) is 5' 2", Haruna (drummer) is the shortest at 4' 9". Miyako has been studying classical piano since she was 3 yo and recently did a couple piano recitals. On her down time she likes to go fishing and even went fishing for sea bass with Mayu, the singer for another Japanese all-female metal band, Nemophila (who you should check out as well). During Covid, Midori (blond guitarist) started lifting weights and really liked it. She is now competing in amateur bodybuilding competitions in Japan in addition to being half of this amazing metal guitar duo.
