I would recommend purchasing an electric air tank drain kit. Their $60-70 bucks. You connect it in place of the drain port on the bottom of the tank. Wire it to a power switch and ground. Then feed the line out of the car. From there you simply press a button anytime you want and it purges the water through the line that feeds outside of your car. No more climbing in the backseat or popping your trunk to purge water out of your tank once or twice a week. Extremely convenient especially during cold season.
There is an option in the settings that will maintain the pre-set pressure for you. It’s called ‘pre-set maintain’ funnily enough. Just removes the hassle of constantly checking the pressures while driving. The auto maintain feature doesn’t work if you manually adjust the pressures tho, only on pre-sets
i dont get why install one of this, is so difficult to do with this kind, just put a small ball valve, route the hose to the outside, open valve slow for water to get out instead of looking for something to poke and etc, etc.
@@cjaydok personally I don’t think so, I mean it’s doing what it’s ment too. i personally only here my compressor turn on 1-3 times per trip when I go out. But it just all depends how many times your stopping and airing out. I have a 5 gallon tank and when it does turn on it’s only for 30-60seconds and it’s off.
@@cjaydok it does, anytime it's used its more wear on the compressor as would anything else. However they aren't that expensive and I'm going to enjoy what I paid for as often as I like. I do recommend dual compressors just to be safe. In case a compressor goes out you'll have a backup so you won't be stranded somewhere.
