I've been on a plane over 100 times I'm 43 and every time I take off I feel just as excited when I hear the roar of those engines as I did when I was 5. People nowadays take all this modern technology for granted.
yep real safe. more than daily riding car. it's so clear its easy. my sis just flew. she took short flight lil over 1 hr. a few days ago. she likin it alot now, nae. peace.
My little sister was scared to go on a plane but then I showed her this video and now she's excited! We're flying from O'Hare to Las Vegas. Thanks for the video!
+Shaleta Thorbs take off feels normal. You can feel the plane accelerate and then your ears will pop if you're not chewing gum. You might feel you stomach jump once or twice once you get up there lol. It's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Not bad at all.
There was a guy on my flight who became hysterical and started screaming "if God had meant people to fly he would have given them wings." The flight attendants finally got him calmed down and into the cockpit. He was the PILOT! *rimshot*
SK3TCH NINJA LOL! The first flight is always exciting. From the strong acceleration down the runway, to seeing the ground fall away from you as it lifts off. Almost seems unbelievable at first. Very nice video!
I have some advice for people, yeah I was scared for plane rides for a while and to be honest i still do get nervous but flying a plane is much safer than a car. Chances of dying in a plane crash is 1 in 60 Million. Think about how many times you go in a car everyday that's SOOOO much more dangerous than a plane.. i hope I helped you somewhat, next time you go on a plane remeber thia. :)
I haven't been on a plane for years & this video just brought it all back how awe inspiring it is when you take off & within 30 seconds you're so high! It's an incredible experience which I gotta do again soon. Thanks for posting
Truly is no other feeling like it in the world. As a student pilot training to become a commercial pilot, it's always fun to see people's faces when flying for the first time. To be able to give that kind of enjoyment to someone, that's what makes it the best.
It’s the best thing EVER , I live in a small city so I take a relaxing fun 3 hour drive to the hectic airport where there are lights and flora and THEATERS and restaraunts and shops , then you see the lights of the planes and see them all taking off to 40,000 feet. I love it at night when you feel the rush and see the lights light up and then you feel so happy that you’re going on vacation. Then when you fly it’s fun and you get butterflies and then eat the food in your blanket while watching TV and hearing the amazing engines roar , it’s an amazing experience
Love your reaction to this new and cool experience. To those about to fly for the first time, look at it as a child would, and enjoy! I don't fly much anymore, but my first time I was 4, and have been enjoying the experience ever since!
+Plane Spotter MDW just went on my first flight Friday. I took so many zanax I was ok at first but when the plane took off it was not like in these videos. My girlfriend said it was but it wasn't. We didn't taxi or nothing. We went around a corner and then all engines full power and Bammmmm we were in the air in like 3 sec. It seemed like it went straight up. I was ok for a little bit. Soon as the seat belts went off I spent 30 bux on jack Daniels. It was a very nice flight. It was nothing like I thought it would be. I'm still scared as hell but I was really proud of myself. When we landed I almost cried It was so weird for me cause I been so scared of planes my hole life. It was pretty awesome tho
Jeff I'm the same way. I'm 29 and never have flown. I have anxiety attacks all the time and been on xanax since I was 15. Flying is my biggest fear but I'm moving to Arizona from NY so I feel I have to do it sometime. I watch videos and my palms start to sweat.
This was so fun to watch and your comments were hilarious! :)) I'm taking a 17 hour trip across the globe in mid-April and I'm insanely nervous about it. The longest plane ride I've ever been in was 2 hours! So to calm my nerves, I keep watching these plane videos in hopes of becoming more aware and less nervous lol I hope you had a good flight! :)
Thanks for the love! 17hrs, wow! It sounds like it's going to be worth while, though. I'm sure after the first 2 hours in flight you'll forget about how nervous you are.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Flying is the best feeling in the world, from the initial power of the engines right through to landing I love every second of it. If I could I would go on a plane every single day.
Fantastic to see someone who is amazed by the fantasy of flight! As a pilot of 25 years and someone who has lived and breathed aviation it has become so disappointing to see flying become so ordinary to the public. It truly is a magic achieved through the blood sweat and tears of those that make aviation a major part of their lives. This reaction was fantastic and exactly what I needed today. Now that you have flown on an airliner, take the next step. You can typically take a discovery flight at you local airport for $100 or less and experience the general aviation end of flying in a small Cessna or equivalent. It's a fantastic experience for little cost that is worth every penny.
Flying so much fun!! I'm 15, been on many different flights many different times (to Europe, Mexico, South America, Caribbean) and it never gets old. Especially from the window seat!! Long flights are the most fun for me, because being in the air, eating, sleeping, and walking, just makes it feel unreal.
Going on my first aeroplane ride tomorrow... I am so scared because I hate heights and the feeling of speed. The thought of it in general makes me somehow scared to although Im not sure why. Im only going on like a one hour flight but still... anyway, wish me luck
Delta Absol I'm going on my first flight, a small plane , a four hour trip.on Friday. I'm so nervous. because I hate the feeling of rollercoaster rides and I hate heights. I'm terrified. please. any tips?
I was really scared. I also hate heights and rollercoasters and things like that. Taking off is actually quite fun, it is a bit overwhelming at first but you'll see, its fun. And heights aren't really that much of a big deal in there, the windows are tiny and you're all enclosed, its just like looking at google earth in a way. I went in a small plane too, and that is actually a good thing. They make less noise and there's just something about them that make them seem better than big planes. I was freaking out too but after that I have to say I love flying and would do it again instantly if I had a chance. Hope this helped!
Definitely just found this video and was so happy I found it because I fly tomorrow and I haven’t flown since 2010 and this just made me smile so big and feel so much better!!
im 13 and have been going on flights literally my whole life to meet the rest of my family in cali my grandma decided to go with me and my mom a few years ago and it was her first time SHE FREAKED OUT!!! xDD the people that worked there were like "mam...calm down" i was like i dont know this lady xDDD
I'm a frequent flyer, I am 18 years old, gotten used to the Airport ways, and I basically live on aircraft (but only for 3-4 hours of course haha) I have met a lot of people like you my good sir, and I love watching first time flyers enjoy their flight. A message to those who are afraid of flying: There's no need to worry, honestly just act like nothing is happening because nothing is :) Unless of course it's a domestic flight haha XD Domestic aircrafts are loud and a little shaky since they sometimes don't have large planes. International travelling is really cool, once your plane has settled into flight, from then on, you probably won't feel a thing :) (I was born in New Zealand and a year later we flew to Australia. Every once in a while, we would return to NZ to visit family and hang out. Half my family (including me) moved back to NZ after 12 years of the Australian life. I was always the one who enjoyed travel so my parents would send me to Australia occasionally to visit the other half of the family or long-time friends.)
for those of you who r scared of planes: im one of those people who are scared of rides but the plane is less scary than the teacup ride to me 😂😂😂 its fine and being in a car is a lot more dangerous and also it has been a while since i have been on a plane does it make you feel like u have butterflies in ur stomach cause that is my worst feeling hope this message helped some people byeeee
The taking off part is the best in my opinion, I love it, plus, since I very rarely get to go on an air plane, it feels like an almost all new experience ever time.
IM AFRAID OF HEIGHTS JUST THINKING ABOUT BEING ON A PLANE MAKES ME ALMOST CRY, I CAN IMAGINE THE PLANE COME CRASHING DOWN AND THE FEELING IN MY STOMACH!!
the other thing drives me crazy when the pilot decides to take a turn just after take off...I am like what the hell why is he in hurry; ) but end of the day they are the experts and in full control of the situation :) . so much respect!
I'm a 45 y/o male. I have avoided flying my whole life. Last week I booked a short flight from Tampa to Key West, Florida for the 1st of October to get it over with. I'm tired of seeing everybody I know flying like it's no big deal and traveling the world while I'm limited to the distances I'm willing to drive. I'm also tired of the shame I feel over this to be honest.
I can see that having a fear of flying is causing a conflict in your life. But, please don't feel ashamed for something you have no control over. Everyone has their own fears and insecurities. It's 100% acceptable and you shouldn't feel like less of person because of it. Regardless, I'm glad you're taking the steps to get over your fear of flying. I hope you end up enjoying it as much as I have.
I thought I should post an update on my flight experience for the benefit of the fearful flyers out there. I flew 2 short flights from Tampa to Key West and back. Both flights went very well. Was I anxious? Absolutely, but I used a lot of the techniques I learned (mostly from youtube) about how to overcome or manage fear of flying and I got through it. As a matter of fact, once we got up to cruising altitude I thoroughly enjoyed the amazing view looking out the window. My next flight is already scheduled for November 1st. I hope this helps anyone out there who is either afraid to fly or has never flown before.
i know how it feels... i was like that some years ago, secret is to fly even when you don't feel confortable, and once you are inside, when fears try to attack the best thought is: ''This feeling is only trying to keep me safe, which defends me would never hurt me'' and thats how i get fine. Then i try to act like a normal person (to smile, to talk, etc) and yourself learn that new personality and you end up enjoying the flight unconsciously. Doesn't matter how hard this feeling is before boarding (when usually happens) don't pay some attention your opinion will be different some minutes later and you will know you made the best decision ... thats how i became stronger..! you should update on november! i know you will do it fine!!
Thanks Joshua. The key is staying in control of your mind and not allowing your anxious thoughts to run wild for sure. I also found that doing some slow breathing exercises helped a lot. I'm still anxious about my next flight but the wonderful thing is it's more of an "excited" anxious and not "terrified" anxious. I'll add an update after my flight.
I'm 30 years old and I'm going on my first flight to Georgia from New York Friday morning I love speed on my motorcycle which I know is more dangerous than a plane but the concept of being that high is what I don't like
+M RM lol I didn't really like being up there but loved the speed at take off..I wasn't a puss I made it lol and already have another plane ride booked for September
When you start in early childhood it is easier to get used to flying. My mom flew with my sister and me to Florence Italy every other summer when we were just babies. So I can definitely see how nerve racking it is for adults when it’s their first flight on a jet liner. But for me, it’s a chance to see the scenery. Love flying over the alps and around the Matterhorn. But Ireland can get a bit bumpy when you fly over it. Other than that, once you fly a few times you get to enjoy it.
+Chubby Unicorn well its actually safer to travel in a air plane than car belive it or not and a air plane crashing is 1% its 99% that it wont crash and if they did happen to do a emergency landing well hears a tip cover your self with any thing you can find...
Wow everyone here is saying 'I've been on a plane 6 times! That's a lot isn't it?' And I'm sitting here like I've been on a plane over 50 times. That's not enough yet. 😂
+Caelan Sallander Unless you're a pilot, you would have no possible way of part-taking in 300 flights unless your family is filthy rich and goes on vacation every two weeks
I first flew when I was just 9 months old back in 2009 and it was in a Qantas A380. I miss overseas travel. First covid quarantine and now ridiculously overpriced airfares. I hope I can go back overseas soon but in the meantime, I am stuck down here, in Australia
Thanks! I was just lucky enough to have that seat. I would have preferred the row directly behind me, though. It quickly became boring staring at a wing whenever I looked out the window. Lol!
I am literally the worlds worst flier. I take panic attacks, I'm scared of the speed, I'm scared of the fact it's like 8 miles in the air, i hate the stomach feeling, take off, turbulence and landing .... but nothing beats the views from the windows. Its beautiful.
BobTail so are you looking up these vids to try and make yourself feel better too about the horribleness that is flying? If so have they helped you, they sure as hell haven't helped me haha
@@kenlogsdon7095 yes indeed, the Mental State of your Pilot, the Weather Conditions, the Air Safety Record/History of your Airline and Aircraft all play a part in ensuring you have a pleasant, carefree and enjoyable 'ride'! :D *Not to mention the 'rated' difficulty level of your Destination/Airport/Landing-Strip (They do vary)
its so crazy how fast you are going on the ground. and then when you take off, even though you are still going just as fast and picking up speed, it looks like you just slow down dramatically because no longer can feel the ground as a reference. the landscape just looks like it just slows down all of a sudden. haha
G36Jeff later in thee flight you can't feel the plane unless you get into turbulence or some turns. I love them thing I don't love is partly though landing but when your close to hitting the ground I love that part of landing. I love flying
My first flight was when i was a baby, but never experienced or remembered it. My actual first experience was when I flew Southwest at age 13 from Chicago to Denver and vice versa. 5 years later, i flew SW again to LAX.
riding a plane feels like an anticlimatic roller coaster in the beginning lol bc the feeling i get in my stomach and landing is a real breeze cause 1. youre finna get off the plane after being on there for hours with like a thousand people and 2. your adventure awaits outside the gate 😍
I hear the flight attendants are very nice and they can comfort you if that will help! I too am nervous going on a 1 and a half hour flight in 4 days! Eeek
I have a fear of heights and flying plus I hate roller coaster rides and when I'm in the passenger seat of a car and driver goes fast I freak out cuz the feeling my head and stomach. I go on my first plane ride the 26th of this month. Any advice so I don't freak out?
I've been on about 25 flights and became so uncomfortable that I stopped flying completely 30 years ago. So I like watching these videos as it reminds me of how lucky I am.
Ive never been on a plane and my job is sending me and my wife from tucson az to denton texas. And very prone to getting car sickness.. will i have to worry about this? What do u feel while take off? And what about landing? Im very nervous...
Looked kind of bumpy that day.... It's great that you liked it... Probably gained a new sort of respect for it as well. Book a discovery flight at your nearest school and take a cessna around for half an hour. It's fun and not as difficult as one might think.
Well im going to Japan on march 23 2017 how does it feel to land? Bc im really scared of fast things going fown like into a hill it makes my guts feel like theyre left up my body
And does earplugs help kr headphones or gums? If youre super high in the sky does it cause turbulence and can it cause okane crash tell me olz i m so scared
