Some very good images. I’ve made every possible mistake in using 4x5 film holders, so now I usually record their use using the “film shots” app. This allows me to record the film holder ID (assuming they are labelled) alongside a reference phone shot and any relevant details such as filter used or EI rating. Since there is a deliberate effort involved to track the exposures, double exposures should be less likely.
Hi Will, thank you for uploading this video, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I appreciate you sharing your mistakes too as we all can learn a lot from them. I had that 'darkslide going back in the wrong side of the film' (Fomapan) no idea why. Looking forward to your next video as I'm confident you will get some really good images, the Ondu shows a lot of promise, I could be tempted to order one after xmas, atb.
Hi Michael. I am always tempted to delete the mistakes (or learning experiences 😉), and it's always nice to hear I'm not the only one making them 😂 Glad you like the photos, hopefully going to try some urban around town and countryside churches soon to try the rise feature out better.
Nice results, really! And sharing your learning experiences makes me feel less dumb, because I am always impressed how many things can go wrong and will go wrong no matter how experienced you are. I recently wanted to shoot 6x9 images with my Multiformat, and somehow managed to read the film transport numbers for 6x6. At least I noticed it after 4 shots. :)
nice one Will, there is something to be said for the simplicity of not using the shutter release. Look forward to seeing some architecture shots with the rise :)
Hi, delivery wasn't too bad, from what I remember a few weeks. I think they have set days when they deliver, after they have a quantity of cameras built. Would be worth messaging them and they will give you a good estimate of how long it will take.
