I won't spoil what to do with the floor tiles that pop up, but you have the right idea to find them with the hammer. Also would love to see more gameplay of TTYD, its definitely worth your time playing it all the way through!

There are 2 "hard mode" badges you can equip to make the game harder Double pain and unsimplifier. unsimplifier makes action commands more precise, double pain doubles damage taken. I do not remember how to get them, you'll have to look it up or ask around, but I think you buy them at the badge shop.

maybe you would like more paper mario 64, less talk. but you should really play mario & luigi superstar saga, that's the true sequel of super mario rpg, the gameplay is super fun too. that gba game have a lot of interaction on attack and defense, and platform too on exploration you can press A with right timing after hammer or other moves on battle to activate secret commands to make public giving more star power. yes, superguard works, just little frames before the damage appears, timing is not easy on that shy guy was a good guy, he had a item for you

Sticker Star was depressing, I never ended up finishing it due to lack of interest. This one is so, so much better. Super Paper Mario is also amazing if you haven't played it

Btw ryu much like guard and super guard if you press A with good timing after you do an attack you'll do it stylishly and get back more star power. (Some attacks like normal hammer have multiple stylish inputs so you can press multiple times after the attack)

Yes Ryu keep playing and to answer your question about the upper right corner during battle when you perform well it’s Bingo 3 mushroom 🍄 heals the party 3 Flowers 🌸 heals FP 3 stars ⭐️ heals both. 3 poison ☠️ mushrooms 🍄 and you’ll lose all audience members!

1:03:33 Ryu WOULD just hit the tree on the right and leave the other one! You're killing me man. Also, just note that the remake made a change so that you can't skip through dialogue at your own pace unlike the original. Part of the reason why it feels like this version starts off so damn slow.

"There's so many secrets." "There's so many things I can't reach." Yah, TTYD is a secret Metroidvania RPG, which I love, but I understand how coming upon secrets you can't yet access may be frustrating to people. But I love not being able to do secrets, it's a promise that I'll get more abilities soon!

Consider using Goombella to do her tattle ability during battle so you get stats on opponents. Also, learn how to do stylish attacks and earn more star power 👍🏼

You can do stylish action commands: by pressing A right after the hammer hits the Goomba. You can press A again after he lands the backflip When mario jumps on an enemy, you can hit A again at the peak of Mario's second jump And hit A again at the after the peak of the third jump

I don't remember that purple toad in the original TTYD. You know.. the one who wanted to teach you stylish moves right before you enter the underground to go to Petal Meadows? All music sounds remixed and the dialougue "talking" the characters do sounds new to me.

You're probably going to want to talk to the Battle Master toad (he's in every town) and at least ask about stylish moves, which will give you more action commands to hit with every move. And if action commands are too easy, consider taking a quick trip back to Rogueport and buying the Unsimplifier badge from the rooftop badge shop (which should be open now). If you like Goombella's dialogue, it might be worth having her Tattle on new enemy types occasionally so you can hear her quip about them.

@@JazzyJonas Huh? You did not have to start over, you could have just grinded out levels in previous areas. You must have been skipoing lots of enemies throughout. Never skip enemies that are giving 3-5 star points at a time.

You say that as someone who doesn’t know those characters, as someone who knows most of them, I couldn’t be happier. Pyra and Mythra are two of my favorite characters from my favorite game of all time, and I know so many people who played it for the first time because they were added to smash and people went “idk who this is but I wanna play the game they’re from now”
