The thing that makes me, personally, love the opening for Persona 3 Portable, and its something that tends to fly under the radar for most people, is the fact that if you flip the opening upside down, roughly 50% of everything you see still looks normal. So when viewing it normally it gives you the Male MC's perspective of the opening, while flipping it gives you the Female MC's perspective of the opening. The fact that you can flip the video 180 degrees and still have it be perfectly viewable was such a great touch considering it came on a handheld system which allowed you to do just that whenever you felt like it. Additionally, a good rule of thumb for persona crossovers is the Rule of Focus. Basically: Whichever games MC is getting more focus is from the game whose theme is most important for the story in that crossover. This doesn't mean that the themes of the other game or games crossing over aren't important as well, but its kinda like Game A is the Main Plot, while Game B is the Sub-plot. So in Arena for instance, We only see the P4 MC, telling you that P4's Themes are the most important, but the presence of the P3 cast tells you that components of P3's themes are also important to the overall story. This is probably the easiest way I've found to explain why certain characters end up omitted in certain crossovers without spoiling anything massively.

The point of the P3 Dancing song is that it was the first time in Ages that P3 got a game. You can hear in the lyrics “It’s been ages” “Eager to catch your smile, haven’t shone it in a while”, “we go way back when we were a bunch of teenagers”, “leavin’ y’all wasn’t easy”, “wherever you are, we will meet again”.

Once you've beaten P3, rewatch P3D (or better yet, watch the full version) and listen to the lyrics. Trust me, it'll be much better.

Persona has a lot of references to Power Rangers, lol. Just about every game has at least one character who's a fan of "Phoenix Rangers Featherman R"

I can't explain why the P3 cast is in Arena Ultimax without heavily spoiling P3 and The Answer.

Fun fact: Persona 4 Dancing is the only dancing game with an actual storymode attached. For a rhythm game, it’s a decent story too.

As for someone that has finished P3 and FES (The Answer), P3D's opening was excellent fanservice not just from the visuals but lyrics wise too.

Apollo is the red persona you liked in P2, is a final persona. It looks so good, it’s one of my favorite persona designs ever. The P2 Duology is my favorite. P1 and P2 are directly connected so it’s the reason why they look different from the newer era games. With that being said, loving the video 😊👌✨

They are openings, some are focused in conveying meaningful imagery or focused in cinematography. Like, if it was about just music then this would be ranking songs from Persona instead of openings.

The Burn My Dread remix for the FES opening is undeniably fire, but compared to the insane imagery and symbolism of the original P3, the clipshow of cutscenes and gameplay footage feels super lazy. If we're going by more than just the song, FES is bottom of the barrel. Looking more like a trailer than an actual opening headass

FES opening is often criticized for having no unique visuals, everything is straight out of game Actually, you can found it on official Atlus channel under the name "persona 3 fes trailer 1", so they don't even really regonise it as one of the openings. Reload opening is really cool, but saying that it is cooler, or as cool as p5 original opening... sounds like a recensy bias. Pq2 opening is kinda gets annoying really fast, so it falled of my top long ago. Plus Kamoshida... Its jut weird to see that a***ole in op *at all* , let alone rapping in a superhero costume. P3 og opening is actually gets compared to P5 opening *a lot* because of similarly simplistic style. But for me p3 one is really good because of how much symbolism there is. It literally throws "memento mori" At you right in the beginning. Plus Burn my dread is a certified banger. Sadly, portable opening misunderstood what original was doing with throwing philosophical concept in your face and just have any words that have some connections to any themes of the game and shows them so fast that it just turns into a white noise at some point. Song in it is good, but i feel like i already heard similar suff countless times in many different anime series. PQ is just a really cute opening, seeing p3 and p4 cast being buddies with each other is just so heartwarming for me... P3 Dancing is arguably is *the* best looking persona opening. And song is basically about them "coming back", nothing else really, but at least instruments in it doesn't gets progressively more unsynced with each other like in P5 dancing. I understand that it should show freedom of Phantom Thevies and everything, but even they can't escape with breaking one of essential rules of song writing

Tbh I personally can never get into Persona 4 Golden or Persona 5, Royal and Dancings openings (turning jazz into dance music doesn't work imo) Persona 3 never misses for me personally and the fact that Arena, Arena Ultimax, Q and Q2 incorporate it just improves them On persona 4 the og opening is nice but Dancing is it's peak And on 5 I only like tacticas.
