this would actually very valuable for devs to watch in order to improve the new player experience. Those of us that have played for a bit take a lot of understanding for granted.
18:30 "wiggling" when a killer has you is to make it more difficult for the killer to move around and get you to a hook. After a certain amount of time if the killer doesn't hook you, you will escape and stun the killer for a couple of seconds. As you're wiggling you're making the killer involuntarily sway back and forth which could make them bump into things on the way to a hook, buying you more time to escape or for another survivor to intervene. Ways another suvivor can intervene to save you: Body blocking the killer by stepping in his way and wasting their time to hook you Shining a flashlight in their eyes which stuns, blinds them and drops you Dropping a pallet ontop of them which stuns them and drops you Dropping a stun grenade or something like that where it explodes in front of them, blinds/stuns them and they drop you Running out of a locker with the appropriate trait that allows you to stun the killer, and they will drop you Succeeding the wiggle skill checks don't mean you are guaranteed success in escaping, it only makes it more difficult for the killer to get you hooked in time.
I love seeing new people try DBD for the first time, It’s js so interesting and fun to watch, and I love seeing people’s progress in the game, it took me about a week or so to get better at the game (I play on iPad) but i’d love to see more DBD content! ❤
Last thing I'll say for now at least, I am a Pig player myself so it is fun to see you go against her. ALways try to "boop" her snoot by pressing the 1 key on your keyboard. While not every Pig will accept boops, sometimes we will show mercy to survivors that give us boops. But never trust a Pig wearing a black leather jacket! As for the reverse bear traps, they don't directly hinder you by default, unless the Pig brings certain addons. Otherwise, the only time they become a threat is when they are activated, which is every time a generator is completed. Also, they do not tell her where you are, nor can she even see the aura of the boxes like you can (she used to be able to, but her ability to see them was removed a few months ago.) The only way she knows where you are with a trap is if you fail a skill check and she hears you scream, or there is an addon she can bring that allows her to see you IF you are working a generator without removing your trap first.
perks are permanent unlocks for that character, and prestiging a character (completing level 50 in the bloodweb and spending 20k bloodpoints) unlocks their unique perks for every other character at level 1. Prestiging a second and third time will upgrade their perks for all other characters to level 2 and 3 respectively. addons get used up. Offerings get used up luck is mainly for an action called self unhooking. you can try three times to self unhook, but each failed attempt cuts 1/6 of your hookstate meter, and cannot be performed if you fall below 50% on that meter. The self unhook is purely luck based, unless a killer facecamps you. then a meter builds up. if that meter fills, self unhook is a guaranteed success.
Though also there are two perks that let you have a 100% guaranteed chance to self-unhook. The first is Deliverance from Adam Francis, which first requires you to safely unhook a fellow survivor to activate the perk, then the second is Wicked from Sable Ward which is a 100% guaranteed chance to self-unhook, but only if you are hooked in the basement area.
To explain what perks do in a much more simple way each time you play a match you get blood points to unlock more things from the blood web such as perks, persks are not a limited time thing you keep them permanently and what they do they give you some type of certain buff for what ever each one you equip and rarity does not necessarily mean it’s better that just mean it’s a higher tier than the other perks because you have not upgraded it yet so so for example the chest opening perk is not necessarily that good only if. Your gonna be looking for chest all game hoped this helped
So about toolboxes and generators. At base generators are 90 seconds to repair, that's 90 "charges." Each charge takes 1 second to repair. Toolboxes increase the speed at which you repair those charges, but only for the number of charges your toolbox has. So a 16 charge toolbox repairing at +100% will then repair the first 16 charges at double speed, but then once it's depleted, you go back to normal speed. So, addons that increase the charges on the toolbox are always good, as they make you able to repair generators faster for longer. :)
" lets play some league bro, cuz fuck all that " Honestly thats pretty close to what the " New player experince " is in dbd. Game is super unfriendly to new players.
Also the globe icon mean they are "cross play" more than likely on console (assuming you are on Steam) or possibly Epic or Windows Games Store. If they are on console, then they do not have access to in-game chat, and no there is no built in voice chat.
