Treasure and Pirate King came out at the same time For the backing track it’s because it’s a DVD version so they have to process/smoother the vocals to have a professional and HD quality to the sound. If you watch fancams from concerts of this tour you can hear them way better but it’s just how concert DVD’s are made sadly

Hey you picked a great time to start this journey ATEEZ is dropping a new album at the end of this month! As for the backing track, its hard because of their choroes are intense, but you will hear live vocals. I was blown away by them when I saw them in concert. Also no unit songs, or solo songs (Jongho has done a one or two OST solos) but unlike other groups they really stick to OT8 for their music. I think its because their trademark saying is 8 makes 1 team.

I'm here for your journey especially when you end up liking the group. If you don't, that's okay too. I would also recommend watching the relay dances. If you can't record them, then at least on your own time. Some of them are funny especially with the ones with the bloopers. The outfits in the Pirate King relay are some of my favorites that they've worn.

Now that u r watching them from the start n their humble roots I recommend u to always go for MV/song + DANCE PRACTICE, bc any song of them will grow on u better or will b stuck on ur head after knowing its dance. ATEEZ will explore a lot of sounds n genres through their albums, so never expect the same average kpop from them, that's what make them uniques. Good luck on ur journey ⌛.

And here we are!~ These boys have been insane since debut. They seemed like 4 year veterans when they had only just started lol. This is by far one of the best debuts I've ever seen in kpop imo. Especially on the copyrighted music show performances you haven't been able to react to. Though, Ateez will ALWAYS sing live as much as humanly possible. They do not like lip-syncing. Despite that, shows will often put the backing up really loud, or their mic volumes will be too low. It sucks. 11:01 They don't really have things like unit specific songs/solo songs yet. They do have lots of solo content though (like Hongjoong has a series where he covers songs, and Jongho has a series where he covers OSTs from dramas - which if you wanna hear Jongho's softer voice that's a great series of videos to check out - etc) I'm definitely excited for you to get to their softer stuff as well, as, just like you, I LOVE their softer voices. 🥰

For lives, when possible, I suggest watching the Fellowship Map the Treasure concert DVD. Their live vocals are more forward. I was a bit disappointed by the 2022 concert DVD because their live vocals were so buried compared to the previous one. Either way, I've never seen someone get copyrighted for their DVD content or any thing actually created by them and hosted on their channel. If you let us know ahead of time, we can probably suggest a good live for most songs, especially when you get to full albums. Most people watch lyric videos, but there are decent lives for most of their B-sides, many of which are safe to react to. Thanks for the reaction!

This is weird, in the Pirate King live performance, I actually barely hear the back track behind their vocals. I was thinking about how their voices matured in comparision of the music video and how different they sounded. I don't know if it's a matter of different headphones or what...

Professionally recorded concerts often smooth the vocals over to the point where they don't sound live which is why I don't really recommend watching those if you love hearing unedited vocals. Best way to hear live vocals is to watch their performances on music shows, awards shows and kcon. Here's a performance of pirate King from their debut era.
