Keep in mind that Billy Joel is all this, and he wrote the song and lyrics too. One of the best lyrics ever produced. From a blank sheet of paper to the finished recorded and released product. All from his own genius mind. React to the original.
I’ve listened to this young man before. He is very very good & he does cover a lot of Elvis songs too. And many other artists. EVERYONE LISTEN TO MORE OF HIS SONGS. YOU WILL BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.
Billy Joel had so many good songs through the decades, but this song reminded me of some french artists like Charles Aznavour "She" (just saw Elvis Costello sang a version of this song on Nothing Hill movie).
Lol, this song ALWAYS reminds me of a girl that I fell head over heals for back in high-school in '79. Since then, I've made and lost fortunes, been married and divorced, raised 2 kids, etc. And today, 45 years later, that very girl is actually my landlords wife. Man, life is NUTS... 😂
She wasn't exactly a "man eater". He wrote this about his wife at the time. She became his manager and really straightened out a lot of things in his career. She did it by being a relentless hardass with Corporate big wigs. As you can imagine, they didn't like it. So, Billy, being who he is, wrote a masterpiece of a love song about it. "She can wait if she wants, she's ahead of her time." is something you say about someone you REALLY dig.
Elliot has such a beautiful voice. He started on Tik Tok but now is a RU-vid artist. He does Elvis, Roy Orbison, the Righteous Brothers and others. I believe he’s from England. He’s about 22 years old, is he old enough for the PDC? Thanks Britt
You can't be a reincarnation of someone who is still around. He does sound similar. There is a young guitar player/singer who people swear is a reincarnation of Stevie Ray Vaughn/Gary Moore/Hendrix. Mostly SRV. He's been collecting fans on RU-vid since he was 7. He was on The Ellen Show at 9 and played onstage with Carlos Santana, Orianthi and Rob Thomas. Taj Farrant's birthday is today and he is now 15 yrs old. He is from Australia and his family have moved to the US. The most down to earth loving family. Taj in this past year has released 4 original songs that went to #1 on the iTunes blues charts. Crossroads, Cruz, Bad Trip and House Always Wins. He's releasing a fifth single on Friday 5/24 called 2x2. To see why he is selling out shows across the US you can watch him play his favorite musician Gary Moore's song Parisienne Walkways. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ffoK17v26dw.htmlsi=wygBOmhNceL_koXE This young man can make you believe in reincarnation.
Good cover, but I gotta go with Billy’s version for the win. Lol.. You should check that out. I will say, though, that this is the first time I’ve ever actually paid attention to the lyrics. lol at the “man eater” comment. 😂
Brit, you HAVE to react to Cody Johnson’s new one “Dirt Cheap”. Do the live version from the Grand Ol Opry, it has the best audio quality. (I’d stay away from the ACM performance, the audio quality is a little bit choppy)
His voice is good, but Billys is better . There are parts where he spunds a lot like Billy . I think it is that Billy J's voice is more mature at the time he recorded. The more years the more rounded and fuller your voice gets. But he gave the song props. You should here Billy Joels new song " Turn the Lights Back On." Some say he wrote it for a women some say he wrote it for his fans because of the fact he didnt write a new song since 2007.
