Hey Heena, had to comment when I saw the "BLACKPINK Effect", it's the reaction most people get when they see them for the first time! BLACKPINK is not what most people expect when they watch K-Pop for the first time. I'll answer some of your comments: *First off, always press "CC" for English subtitles. *This is K-Pop (Korean Pop) so they sing in Korean, but they all speak English (three are fluent) so they also sing in English, which is part of their appeal to English speaking countries. *The girls are all in their mid-20's although they were signed with the company when they were 14-16, then trained six years before they debuted in 2016. *HOW YOU LIKE THAT* is about coming back from a dark place, not specifically a relationship, but more like overcoming hardship and showing the world what you're made of. Most of BLACKPINK's music is very Girl Power. * Rosé (pronounced Ro-Zay, like the wine, not Rose like the flower), with the silver/lavender hair, did have dirt on her face. She is actually portraying Persephone, daughter of Zeus. As the mythology goes she was out gathering flowers when Hades, God of the Underworld saw her. He dragged her down to the Underworld and made her his wife, you can see her looking up at the world through a hole. *That was a donkey, not a horse, in the market in Lisa's rapping scene. *Fashion plays a big part in their videos as well: Jennie, wearing Chanel, is a Chanel Brand Ambassador. Rosé (silver hair) was announced last week as Global Ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent. Jisoo (pronounced Jee-Soo) is Dior's Beauty Ambassador. Lisa (the rapper with the bangs) is a Brand Ambassador for Prada and Celine. Regarding the Final Scene: The two giant wooden horses are supposed to represent the Trojan Horse. The Greeks built a giant rolling wooden horse that their soldiers hid inside of, then they presented the horse to their enemies as a gift. After their enemies brought the Horse inside the gates the soldiers dropped out of a hidden trap door and defeated their enemy. If you look on the ceiling of the dome in that final scene there's actually a map of the world (it looks organic). BLACKPINK's message is that like the Trojan Horse story they are going to surprise the whole world and take over (the music world). The production is amazing, it was shot in five days and nights. Well these 4 have been snatched up by the biggest fashion houses in the world as their muses or ambassadors. Together they have Celine, Bvlgari, Prada, YSL, Chanel, Dior .... all under their belt. Whatever they wear will usually become sold out fast. Fashionistas on display .... is only one of the hype for all their mvs besides all the beauty, character, charms and talents they possessed. These are the reasons for the hype and crazy anticipation for their comeback on a global level as the most popular girlband of this generation :)
Basically, they can sing KOREAN (their origin), JAPANESE & ENGLISH. Also, they can speak basic CHINESE & the girl with the bangs (rapper) can speak THAI (her origin)
