Young Bo was a lot more graphic and crude in the nature of his songs, but he was no less artful. Fewer deeper messages, but a lot more clever wording etc in my opinion on some songs since that was what he was focused on. I think one of my favourite lines went over your head a little. "B-O lingers and it makes you think" is a not so subtle line saying Bo himself lingers, and his lyrics make you think. It's so simple, but so easy to miss. Bo is, to my knowledge, the first RU-vidr who got famous outside the internet. I mean, I'm Bo Yo is from 14 years ago now, and his first stand up special was 2009, with a more official one in 2010. He shot to stardom literally overnight in a time where that did NOT happen.
I remember when this was insanely popular when I was in school. I didnt hear about him again til I was older and then went back and seen all his stuff. He's a genius.
What I love about this is that of course, this is the teenage boy humour version of Bo (which I deeply loved when I too was a teenager right along with him) but like you said, it's so clear how much wit and wordplay he had even then. I genuinely knew even then that I'd have to follow his career because he was going to do great things one day!
A lot of the stuff he did when he was younger he doesn’t like. For example, Klan Cookout. But his bars have always been good. Double and triple entendres on top of each other. Very creative.
From his earlier years I'd love to see you react to "Words, Words, Words" and to "Oh Bo". From his heyday of big specials, "From God's Perspective", "Art is Dead" or "Can't Handle This (Kanye Rant)"

This is the beginning of his career, you can definitely expect the quality to drastically improve. I was aware of him when he was loading the videos, he was, and some are quite rough.

Lol teenage Bo had absolutely NO CHILL. Modern Bo still has no chill but he used to not have any too. He looks like a baby in this because he is lol. It’s wild seeing a 17 yr old Bo now. Just a nerdy kid making dirty songs in his bedroom. A lot of his early stuff (while being very funny and clever) makes him cringe now. I'd recommend his short-lived sitcom called "Zac Stone is Gonna Be Famous" that lasted one season. It came out when he was in his early twenties where the whole series follows a recent high school graduate who spent all his tuition money on a camera crew to document his life pre-fame as he pulls a bunch of schemes to become a celebrity. Really great writing and definitely wouldn't work with anyone else as the star.
