It kinda gets people a bit more used to not hearing her especially since fans would be streaming it and the music video would the part of the song that gets the most promotion.
BTS Suga once said “You'll like BTS music if you listen without prejudice”. They explore genres like neo-soul, punk, hiphop/hard rap, rock, EDM, latin-influenced; just to name a few so I’m sure you’ll find even one song you’ll like. The couple of pop songs they do are more ‘visible’ for obvious reasons, but 90% of their other songs are not what you'd expect. You’d also be surprised at the age demographic of their fans. These boys can rap RAP, real flows… none of that ghost writer stuff. They write and produce a lot of their own songs too especially their solos. I think you’d enjoy ‘Persona’ BTS comeback or ’Shadow Interlude’ Map of the Soul 7 comeback trailer. They’re songs that are less ‘pop’ and give a taste of what the overall theme of their album is. Scratch past the surface and maybe you’ll see what all the fuss is about. Being openminded takes balls but going out of your comfort zone can be rewarding. Enjoyed your honest reaction! So, as people have said already, the Spotify version does have a bit more Halsey, but she is still only in the chorus so the difference is negligible. You will find this with a lot of the songs they do with western artists as features (looking at you "On" feat. Sia) that the featured artist is such a small part of the actual song you wonder why they're even there. Though it is true that having a small feature is necessary because they will have to perform the songs without the featured artist for tour and things, but the sad truth may be (my opinion, not necessarily fact) is that having these western artists on their songs somehow makes western (i.e. American) radio more willing to play them. Even though BTS is literally the biggest band in the world (not hyperbole, but fact) American radio is still so resistant to giving them any play, their biggest argument being that because it's not in English that people won't listen to it (which is almost a self fulfilling prophecy, but I digress). Please don't misunderstand though, the boy's are nothing but grateful for, and respectful to, the artists who have worked with them (they have an especially tight bond with Halsey) but the reality of western media and radio makes it almost a necessity for these features on their title tracks, no matter how minuscule they may be.
You should add that there is already seven young men that is each taking a part in this song so a featured artist is not going to have that much bigger part. Her voice also blends in a lot with the group so it makes it a little harder to stand out.
I think that , most of the artist that works with BTS get benefits more than BTS’s get cause the radio won’t play them any way “ but fk them” and these artist get army’s support but in the other way western fans are soo racist ..you know ...

Ive been a fan of BTS since 2014 and outside of kpop I listen to punk, new wave, pop punk, rock, indie, and alternative stuff and judging from your outro and the other reactions on your channel you are more into the alternative stuff as well. Halsey couldn't have more lines in this because BTS perform so frequently, it wouldn't be convenient to figure out a second line distribution solely for live performances. this applies to any artist they collab with. Sia had very little lines in their new title track as well
One thing for sure... BTS does not cover one specific genre. You can't judge them based one song only. The genre they cover is wide... Very wide.... So.... If you really want to get to know them better. ARMY will help you.

Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with kpop ** 1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers 2. Bts compose and produce their own music, so is very personal, they talk about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc 3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) have to read a several books and study set, philosophy, psychology and mythology to understand. Their last album for example was "map of the soul:persona" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Jung. 4. The army love them because they are good people who through a lot of bad things to be where they are now, and even being famous they stay humble. 5. They have a lot of genres and you can find subtitles in every possible language. **Bts always present themselves as a Korean group, and always said they don't want to be labeled in a genre or industry. The fans also do not want to be mixed with kpopers, (most of us aren't kpop fans) we don't have the same ideals

Yes Hasley had a small part for this video, however if you listen to the album version she is more prominent in the song. She even learned some Korean to be able to singing properly. Also her range just happens to match Jimin's range, so when he harmonizes with her they have a tendency to blend each other out to where you can barely tell who is who singing. Same thing happened with Sis on their newest album....she blended so well with Jungkook and Jimin she almost disappeared. You may want to listen to the album version.
There’s two versions of this song because BTS sung it for award shows and it would be weird for a chorus to be missing.. so one version has her in it and the other doesn’t.. there’s one called army with luv.. that one has more Halsey... like how in their new album, there’s “ON” and “ON feat SIA”

If you listen to the album version you will hear Hasley even more. And she even sings in Korean. But one of the reasons why u can't hear her all that much in this version is because of the fact that her range and Jimin's range are damn near the same. So they kinda blend each other out, and you can't tell if it's her or Jimin singing. But that is also one of the reasons I like it...the blend is amazing. One other thing sweetie...k pop stands for Korean pop music. So in Japan it's not k pop, it's actually J pop, Japanese pop music. Hell there is even C pop. I believe all the Asian culture has their own version. And just to let you know, if you want a really good singer that will blow you away. Look into J rock, there is one group that is incredible. They are called One Ok Rock. Their lead singers name is Taka. I know you know who Linkin Park is. And I am sure you know who their lead singer was, Chester. Well Taka's abilities are very similar to Chester's (this is just my opinion ppl). He even had the privilege of preforming with Linkin Park. You may want to check out "We Are" or "Stand Out, Fit In". Btw, this song and mv is bright and happy on purpose. It's part of a bigger theme from their two recent albums, where they tackle the persona, the shadow and the ego of a person's mind (Jungian psychology - I know, who else is doing that?). Just thought you should know, they aren't another bubblegum pop group. They do so many different genres, and they have meaningful lyrics (that they take part largely in writing!) about mental health etc. Their story is amazing, too. Literally from nothing to the successful guys they are today!
I'm just doing this because I tend to not like it if reactors don't have great first impressions because they choose a combination of songs in genres they don't tend to listen to from BTS. They have an EXTREME range. It's just a list. Looks long, sorry. Upbeat and fun with a lot of colour: Idol and DNA. Rap and hip hop based songs: Mic Drop, Cyphers (there's 4). Also most of BTS' older songs from 2013-2014 (which are obviously very old for them so be mindful of that). Super energising and motivating songs: ON, Fire, Not Today and Dope. Emotional and dark: Fake love (there is an original and rock version of this song, both have MVs), I need you (ORIGINAL MV) R&B songs: mainly V (Taehyung) solo songs as far as I know - Stigma, Singularity The rappers all have solo albums as well: Agust D (Suga's), RM (Namjoon's), Hope World (J-Hope's) These albums include songs such as: Agust D (Suga solo), Joke (Namjoon solo) & Airplane (J-Hope solo). The three rappers all have very different sounds but all are really good. Really intricate and meaningful: WINGS era which has songs such as 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' (based off of literature) and an intense/dark story about struggles in life and mental health.

Hi! BTS means Bantang Sonyeondan which literally means Bullet proof Boyscouts in Korean. BTS is a hip hop pop rock group!They write & produce many different genres of music. They are great producers! We like them for so many different reasons that I don't even know how to explain. As you go deeper into this BTS hole, you'll understand why people love them so much. BTS has the most diverse fandom in the world. The group consists of 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. This song that you just heard is a song about us fans, the ARMY. There are English captions for all their music videos so don't forget to turn them on. Their songs and music videos are so deep and meaningful, they are not like any other boyband that has ever existed which make only lovey dovey songs. BTS talk about stuff that no one usually talks about, like mental health, self love, politics, following dreams etc etc. They have songs of all genres, you name it, they've got it. I really want you to understand what they are trying to say through their music videos and songs but you've just started and you've got a long way to go. I assure you, you'll be so impressed and blown away throughout this journey BTS are breaking the boyband stereotypes and what they're doing is pure art. They're indeed legends who are making history..... 💜
