Craig had recently lost his 19 year old son in a boating accident, so it took a lot of courage to get up in front of an audience and share a song he wrote out of his pain.

After this performance at the Opry, someone back stage told him what a great song and performance that was. He said he would never sing it again, it was so hard on him. Ricky Skaggs told him he needs to sing it again to help others going thru the same thing. Gob Bless Craig Morgan!

After this, I highly recommend watching Jelly Roll's first performance at the Grand Ole Opry.. He tells a story before he performance. Then watch another performance where he performs a song called "Almost Home" with Craig Morgan.. It's a great moment, especially if you watched the first video I mentioned.

The first time I saw him perform this, he almost didn’t make it through to the end. He had to stop and gain some composure to finish the song. He was performing live at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, and it really tore at my heartstrings

He lost his son a few years ago in a boating accident. This was his very first time performing it, and they say he walked off state and said he was never doing it again. But the outpour of support, and people who had been through similar things losing children... the song took on an even more powerful meaning so he has continued to perform it.

@SamanthaLisa great reaction just sub’d. Craigs son had just recently passed away in a tragic boating accident. This was first time he performed this song when Blake Shelton told him the world needed to hear this. The courage of Craig to perform this is unbelievable. Please react to his performance at the Grand Ole Opry with Jelly Roll. It’s very recent. Of course Craig singing it alone if much better but this was a special moment performance to Craig’s song “Almost Home”. Please watch until the end is very powerful at the end after the song is over. Thanks friend.

We take it one day at a time now and enjoy the gifts of 2 grandson's and a 6 year old granddaughter our son left us. We love him and them so much. When we have them our son is so close to us more than normal. RIP dude Mom and Pops love you very much. One day we will be together again with The Father and The Holy Ghost.

I can't imagine anyone wondering, let alone admonishing(?) you for being moved to tears! It just shows, as you say, that you're human; and I can see that you're very empathetic, that's a blessing, a gift.. certainly not something to be seen as a sign of weakness.🤗 I've listened to and loved Craig Morgan's music since he arrived in Country music. I came to not only appreciate his songwriting and his powerful, moving voice, but also genuinely respect & admire the person he is! You wouldn't believe how much he's aged since losing his son, or perhaps you would believe it, as it's not surprising when you experience about the worst loss I think there is.. Still, he continues on, helping others, involved with charities and is just so beloved. He is as inspiring as the songs he writes and sings. 😊💗

Would you fellow viewers PLEASE pray for our son and daughter-in-law, she was 3 months pregnant but yesterday(Wednesday May 24,2023) she started bleeding and they got to the OB/GYN office, but she had a miscarriage. Our son said that when they got home later in the day that they explained to their daughter what had happened, and since then, our son said that his wife crawled into bed and has not spoken since. My husband and I back in March 1994 suffered through a miscarriage, and the heartbreaking pain is still with us today, BUT just as the song by The Greene’s “Jesus Has A Rocking Chair” says, our baby and our son and his wife’s baby are being held in HIS loving arms.

Don't be embarrassed with how long it took you to come to appreciate country music. I was born and raised in Nashville, the home of country music, and even had a grandfather who played fiddle in the Grand Ole Opry, yet I grew up nearly despising country music. I'm in my late 50's now and didn't really begin to appreciate country music until 10-15 years ago. Now that is embarrassing.
