This is my favourite version with the Hunan TV new years eve version coming in at a close second purely because of the almost Broadway stage production.
I love every version of this song I have ever heard, but the one that`s the most important to me is the one he performed in the I am singer competition 2017, because that was my introduction to Dimash. Here you can clearly hear how his lower register has matured and see the pain in his eyes. I used to think (well, I still do) that this song is about a man thinking of committing a suicide. But then somebody made a comment, that it`s not and it got me thinking; that`s what the lyrics and the overall feeling of the song means to me, personally. My little brother committed suicide in 2000. I miss him every day. He was 19 years old at the time. That`s the beauty of music; the same song with the same lyrics can mean different things to different people. And their all correct. Not necessarily the same meaning as what the composer and/or lyricist meant, but it has some deeper meaning for the listener and really allows them to connect with the song. It makes you connect and deal with your emotions. Dimash is such a master of conveying feelings. Thank you for the reaction.

Actually I think it’s about suicide. It’s from a French musical from the late 1970’s. If it’s not suicide it’s definitely about death. I believe the character who sang the song in the play was singing over his dead girlfriend’s body.
He is thinking about death because his girlfriend got killed. (If it is taken as a song from the play.) Contemplating death. I think it is art, so it can have many interpretations.

For me, this is a much better performance, one of my favorite. Actually, although all the performances of SOS are great, for me Slavic Bazaar is probably the least favorite one among the countless performances of this song out there.
