Dimash has become a worldwide phenomenon over the past six years. He hails from Kazakhstan, sings in over a dozen different languages (this song is in French), sells out arenas and stadiums around the world and has fan clubs in nearly 150 countries (which is almost all of them). Welcome to the world of Dimash. 😄 He is currently 28 and from Kazakhastan. I didn't know anything about Kazakhastan before Dimash. I sure as hell couldn't find it on a map, lol. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. (Russia is north of Kazakhstan) His English is always improving, and he is still working on his Chinese. He sings in 13 languages. This performance was part of an online concert. He had to cancel his concert tour because of covid lockdowns. He loves performing and really missed his fans, so he tried a "Digital Show". He WAS born like this, BUT he has been in music school since he was 5 yrs old. All he has wanted to do is be on stage. Dimash's family is musically talented but they did not force him to follow this path. They stood by him and helped him in any way they could. Be prepared for a flood of info from his fans. Some are cult-like so don't be scared. 😆 He has such a following because he is as humble as he is talented. He doesn't care about fame or money. He is very grounded.

Dimash's concert in New York in 2019 sold out Barclay's Arena and drew fans from 63 countries and nearly every US state. His spectacular four-hour concert in his home country of Kazakhstan in September sold out a 35,000-seat stadium and drew fans who made the sometimes-difficult trip from 68 countries including many from the US. He is idolized around the world as probably the planet's best singer and in spite of his talent and his obsessed fandom he remains as kind and humble as anyone you have ever known. He is not an easy singer to listen to, not a easy singing level kinda singers as those on mainstream and pop music on chart now. But I can tell, all of them will take note from his singing and learn and train themselves more. He may not be somone’s kinda music. But to be fair, he is the vocal textbook , even for many pro singers out there.

Dimash is singing live here, he had to postpone his tour due to covid , so he finished the tour by doing this live performance here and dropping it online. His concerts are normally about 3 to 4 hours long, he only stops to change his outfit. So here you see him right after a previous song which is why he is already sweating. since you are new to our vocal god, sweating simply proves he is human. Most reactors don't think he is. LOL. "who can do that" only Dimash, and if you follow the lyrics you will notice that Dimash goes high and low depending on the lyrics. His hands.... Dimash kind of self composes himself like a conductor might do. Dimash sings in 15 different languages, speaks in about 3 or 4 , he has a 7.5 octave reach with 3 semi tones and he plays 7 instruments and a red belt in Taekwondo and he sings in almost every genre of music from rap to opera. Welcome to the world of Dimash! Thank you for your appreciation of Dimash’s insane talent! Liked and subscribed. Dimash has a vocal range of over 6 octaves, which is quite impressive; but that’s not what defines him. He sounds exquisite at any range, which is incredible in and of itself. Besides, his voice has so many colors and tone to it, not mentioning his vocal dynamics. His voice is soaring only to express his intense emotions, whether it’s a cry for help (like here in SOS), a yearning, or to express pain or loss. Dimash, being a composer himself (“Unforgettable Day”- Ұмытылмас күн, available on his RU-vid channel) knows exactly how the song he interprets must be delivered. Dimash is not a mere vocalist, but a true artist who sings in the service of the song first and foremost, and not to show off his insane vocal abilities. (Amanat, Okay, Qairan Elim, Qaragym Ai, Give Me Love…) In short, he’s not only a masterful vocalist, but also an amazing storyteller and an incredible performer. Above all, he’s a soulful, genuine, passionate, and humble artist. What I precisely love about Dimash is the way he fully immerses himself in the songs he interprets, the mark of a genuine, passionate artist. Truth be told, his voice is even more impressive live in person. I attended his first solo concert in NY in 2019 and I must say that I was somewhat surprised by the sheer power of his voice, and delighted by his warm and funny interactions with the audience (unfortunately, some interactions were cut off in the official release of that concert - available on his official RU-vid channel). After that concert, I became a Dear for life! Dimash certainly deserves to be a household name. But I think it’s just a matter of time. After all, he’s an Independent Artist from Central Asia, which is the main reason why it’s more difficult to break through the US/Western music industry, especially when there’s no big label behind you to promote you worldwide like the lesser talented artists out there. But at least, he has complete creative freedom: as a genuine, passionate artist, he will never settle for less, which is how it should be. Also, his repertoire is not “mainstream” enough, but that’s exactly why I love his music! His trademark is to blend so many different styles and techniques in one song that it’s not for everyone. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. Great first reaction to Dimash! Please continue! (For info., he’s 6’3” - so I don’t think his hands are ‘little’, lol!)

Dimash started vocal + piano school when he was 5 (also the time when his teachers noticed that he has absolute pitch). At 16 he started studying Classical (Bel Canto) at University, got a degree in that at 20, then started studying Contemporary at 20 and at 24 got a degree in that. After, he got a Master`s Degree in Composition, defending his thesis with a perfect score. He has since enrolled in doctoral studies in Musicology. He had a nice low range since he was young, and a really high range as well (frequently asked to step in when there weren`t enough girls in the choir). He kept his high range through adolescence, and also trained it with soprano arias. His Classical (Bel Canto) teacher is kazakh, he is a great teacher, and Dimash still seeks his advice till this day. Dimash`s mother is a soprano, and that might have played a part in the genetics of his capabilities, but a bigger part (in my opinion) played his freedom of thought, his desire to train and use every bit of range he can access, for a wide artistic expression. He has ~22 years of formal musical education under his belt, and still does vocal training ~ 3 hours every day. So, 10% God given talent, 90% work and passion. (interesting fact : his last name Qudaibergen literally means "Given by God" :) ) He also has a desire and sense of responsibility to make a difference with his art, and to represent his country well. He loves his country and fellow countrymen a LOT. He didn`t step on stage until he felt confident enough that he would represent his country well, or make them proud. These are elements that went into making Dimash the incredible artist that he is. As others have said, he is also humble, well grounded, has a normal life, clean, no drugs, no smoking, doesn`t get drunk, doesn`t ruin his ears` perfect pitch with club music. His fun means playing some sports with friends, swimming, getting in a car and driving around talking, bantering and catching up. He also plays some video games with his friends sometimes :) Other than that, most of his time he spends it in the studio, working on his music, rehearsing with the band, doing vocal training. Basically, living and breathing music. He`s also very respectful towards his elders, his parents, his teachers, and is kind and warm to any person that he interacts with. He is sweating because this performace is in the middle of his online concert 2021. He has many concerts in many places in the worldLol. 1-2 songs don’t make him sweaty unless 2-3 hours of concerts with many dancing, vocal demanding songs. Btw, you step into the alien territory of vocalist type of singer! He is considered as the most versatile greatest vocalist ( maybe of all time) by many vocal coaches/ musicians or whoever has musical knowledge background . He is phenomenal ! Then 15 - 20 years later he went to university and studied voice, getting two degrees in voice and vocal performance. Dimash has sung in over 12 languages, he has international promoters so there is no money left for an American promoter.... He is from Kazakhstan and this song is in French. He sings in 12 languages, has perfect pitch, and at the time of this video, he was only 27 yrs. old. He began studying music and voice at the age of five, and still does voice training for 3-5 hours. a day every day. Anything you listen to next will not disappoint you. Just for starters, Love Is Like A Dream, Your Love, Adagio, Sinful Passion, All By Myself, and Unforgettable Day( this you should do the version from "The Singer 2017". He was only 22 yrs. old then. DIMASH is the G.O.A.T. in 3 Galaxies! lol. I say the same thing! How come he has been around now for 5 years (China debut in 2017) & gets ZERO or next to ZERO play in the U.S. market? I think part of the reason is they don't know how to market someone who does POP/Opera aka "POPPERA" and also wants to experiment in ALL genres. O, nice that you found him 🙂. Dimash is Kazakh, but the song is French, originally from an old rock opera. This performance is from digital concert from last February (or January?) Since he had to stop his tour in beginning of 2019 and all lock downs he made this Digital Show. We was really grateful to hear him again, but it still can’t compare with live concerts 😊🙂
