This song was on one of the first Elvis albums I bought back in the 1970s and I LOVED this song because he was totally singing these words to ME ❤ His style was unique and none of these impersonators can hold a candle to the real thing ‐ SO gorgeous!
THAT VOICE. The man walked with a vibe THAT WAS leGIT. and REAL. Thats why people connect to him so well. He will be legendary for THOUSANDS of years. CVTECK ... you aint alone man.
Swoon!!!! Elvis had great style, he was totally unique! Nobody can capture his essence, the soul, rythym and style, and that's why imitators can come across like a joke, I think.
Indeed, immediately imitators of Elvis are found out but I guess it must be so much fun to pretend to be like Elvis, and there are thousands of them all over the place!
Just think this performance is from 1970 and technology has changed so much and has gotten so much precise and better but Elvis' voice is so pure and magical it didn't matter. Elvis sounded as good live as he on recordings. His talent and chrisma jumps off the screen. There will never be another like him. So happy in your Elvis discovery ❤
Honey he was one of the fashion icons of all time. I was a teen in the 50's and after he came on the scene he set the styles trends for my whole generation. And hair styles. The turned up collar, open shirt with no undershirt. peg et leg pants, flashy colored shirts. Everything he wore was copied. He bought a lot of his clothes from Lansky's on Beale Street in Memphis like a lot of black artist went. I had never seen a pink suit on a man in my life till Elvis wore one, and he look good. Being so handsome didn't hurt him any. Thanks, love you reactions.
such a beautiful smooth voice.. its like velvet... and I agree, he had amazing original sexy style.. like no one else ever has... awesome video, thank you for sharing
Another great Elvis song which became a single find the studio version of The Sound Of Your Cry you will love it he puts his heart and soul into the song by for now
You aren’t alone. Elvis was a bad mfer. The greatest entertainer to ever grace a stage. And don’t sweat cheerleading for him. He has millions of those. I enjoy your reactions! Thanks!
Hey friend, did you notice how respectful he was to give her pen back. People who knew him well said he was the nicest. Merry Christmas to all of you. God Bless
Elvis only lived for 42 years and only 23 of them was as a musician. Yet he did so much in such a short time that would take most twice as long of a lifetime to accomplish half of what he did. He recorded and released over 600 songs and over 70 albums in a 2 decade span! Let that sink in. Over 1 BILLION records sold worldwide! That's why he's the king and the GOAT!
Just an FYI on the jumpsuits. Not only were they stylish, but functional as well. They are an offshoot of his karate outfits. He needed room to move as well as look great and be comfortable. We have Bill Belew (a noted fashion designer) to thank for Elvis' iconic look. He designed and made his outfits and personal wardrobe until Elvis' passing in '77.
Elvis Rocks, nice reaction, the jumpsuits were stage wear and they were popular with his fans to where they would even name them, they are each a work of art and one of the coolest things to check out on display at Graceland. TCB⚡️
I love that they told you "not to take your eyes off the screen" Reason they said that is cause when you overt your eyes from Elvis you miss something. When you reacted to his suspicious minds live in Vegas you turned away just as he was messing with his backup singer and you missed the funny interaction.
Now you are seeing why Elvis was inducted into 23 Halls and Walks of Fame. From his Country album. That white suit came from his love of his Karate suit and it was his style then but he never let go of it. When he was sick and bloated it wasn’t pretty. He wore that at a concert 7 weeks before he died. I remember wishing someone would hide him and help him. Someone who really cared about his health and didn’t write prescriptions for money.
A little background from the painting or drawing. Elvis mentioned that it looks like Englebert Humperdink. Englebert was another popular singer at the time, but from England. He was also doing his own hotel residencies in Vegas. His look was similar to Elvis. He and Elvis were also, in fact friends. Elvis would go to his shows at times while in Vegas.
This man was a phenomenon... that voice, those eyes, the presence he had on stage.. just crazy. And BTW.. the first King of Bling.. he had a ring on every finger.. Elvis could pull it off..
Sunday, CV, & Elvis; what could be better!😮 I totally dig your EP reactions. There is just something about seeing your facial expressions that makes me smile😊❤ Plus you slay me with your humor😅 Keep doing you!
You’re reactions are beautiful and right on point. Once you find Elvis’s talent and charisma, you’ll never not be an Elvis fan forever. It actually gets stronger and stronger until you’re telling others about his soul moving music and the way he sings just touches something inside. I’ve listened to Elvis music over and over again and never tire of it. I think it’s because he’s so different and so talented that I find something I didn’t hear before. Thank you for your reactions to this good, humble generous, spiritual man. He deserves to be lifted after jealousy from people who aren’t as talented as he is just like to judge so who was different. But isn’t it the unusual person we’ve met over the years that we never forget? Thanks for being so authentic with your reviews. 😊❤❤🎸🕺🏻🎸🕺🏻🎤
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. I was a movie fan of his as a young kid, but it took me decades to truly appreciate his music, talent, and humanity. I always recommend anyone trying to understand him to go back to his roots. Watch his earliest, performances. You can see how he discovers, and reacts to the overwhelming audience response he receives.
Just think, this was before Auto-tune! This is ALL ELVIS! HE didn't need Auto-tune, he was amazing! Please play some of his Christmas Songs! He was the KING of Rock and Roll; but he was also the KING of Christmas Songs! Merry Christmas to you and your family! Thank you for reacting to another ELVIS song!
Jane H commenting …. This is an absolutely beautiful song sung so beautifully by Elvis. I was born in 1952, as was my husband, so we both grew up with Elvis’ songs on the radio & then some television performances. As we live in New Zealand, we sadly never got to see him in a live concert, but his 1973 Aloha from Hawaii Live Concert was just like a live performance for us, as we knew Elvis was actually on stage singing as we watched him.
You should watch Love me tender video from 1970 in Vegas. Don't think you've watched it. It's shockingly great lol. I think you'd get a kick out of it.
That was amazing by Elvis. Please react to Elvis singing "Sweet Caroline" live in Las Vegas, the same concert. His voice is phenomenal. Very nice reaction. Thank you.
YOUR NOT FANNING ... YOU JUST APPRECIATE GOOD RAW TALENT THATS A GORGEOUS WAY TO BE. SPREADING THE LOVE OF A PERSON THAT MAKES MILLIONS OF PEOPLE STILL ADMIRE IS VERY ❤ WAY.
Love this video & his interaction with the lady....... Another great song "I just can't help believing" live Vegas 1970 & this song was a New song for him !! Thanks CV
CV! Because it's the holidays you should do the Elvis Xmas song, why can't everyday be like Xmas. So beautiful and we need this song in the world today.
Hi CV! So enjoying experiencing your Elvis journey along with you. I love what you said about not wanting to be a “cheerleader”. I too have fought that good fight since most of my family and constituents do not share this passion. Throughout Presleys career he was maligned. About him they said that he was too vulgar, he was the devil who would drive the youth of American to a life of crime. They mocked him for everything, down to his dress, his curled lip and his southern accent. They said he couldn’t sing, dance or act. Most of all, they hated him because he loved and supported the black community at a time when America was at her worst and worked hard to keep a hard line of definition between races. Today we are not supposed to admire Elvis Presley. He was a drug addict they say, a womanizer, he became fat, he didn’t write his own songs, he couldn’t play the guitar and he died on the toilet but most of all they say that he was a racist who stole black music. If you have a different kind of heart however, you see what is actually there. A beautiful man with beautiful soul who sang until his his own heart simply burst.
Elvis lead the way with Glam rock. Look at early Elton John, David Bowie. He encouraged The Osmonds to dress up on stage, Michael Jackson emulated Elvis too. The suits Elvis wore were practical because 2 piece suits separated and he wanted really feel free to move. He said “ if I can’t move , I can’t sing. “ Elvis could sing the phone book with his perfect voice. He has been classified as a perfect Baritone who could , and did , sing over 3 octaves. Pavarotti once said “ Elvis could sing opera , but I could never sing like Elvis”. Says it all really. 👌🕺💕
YES! ELVIS HAD STYLE! FUNNY BY THE END OF THIS CONCERT SOME OF THE CHAINS WERE BROKEN...HE DIDN'T CARE THOUGH...HE DANCED AND JUST HAD FUN AND PUT ON A GREAT SHOW!!!
Yes, this song is very special to me, I lost my partner in 2019 from pancreatic cancer, we both loved Elvis and I used to sing this to him. I will have this song played at my funeral because I have interpreted it in exactly the way you say. I saved his ashes as he said before death he wanted to stay close to me forever, so we can have a joined funeral. I will hold you and love you again but until then we'll just pretend, the love and purity of Elvis is beautiful. RIP!
It is a special song & the range of his voice is like no other. And regarding how he dressed, you're right. Elvis had style, individuality and super cool. He is nothing like the idiots who "try and fail) to impersonate him. Good reaction.
You want to know Elvis look into some of Elvis blues Steam Roller Blues Got my Mojo working Stranger in my Home Town so many sides you haven't heard Elvis was the greatest entertainer including blues gospel r&b and his fifties Elvis started in 1952 was an I overnight sensation he sang a lot of blues actually recorded several albums he won the prestigious award for King of R&B and the King in all genres of music he is The King of Music 😎🎯💯🌎🎶♥️ no one comes close to Elvis he opened doors for so many African American entertainers he brought so many songs that had long been forgotten to life with his exceptional power no one can match Elvis😎🎯💯🌎❤️👍
Great job as usual now time to expand to his Gospel, country music as well as his range and even softness in songs like They Remind too Much of you. Nobody now then or ever will be able to duplicate his total ability been 60 plus yrs once in a lifetime truly
Hi there, saw ur clip for the first time. I suggest to watch the clips ELVIS FIRST APPEARENCES ON TV . THEN YOU UNDERSTAND WHY THE MUSIC PERFORMANCES TOOK A TURN FOR THE BEST MUSIC THESE DAYS. GREAT SHOWS 👍👍
CV, That is from his best album called "That's the Way It Is" You should listen with no lights on and headphones. There is not a bad song on that album and the band is phenomenal!!
CV if you want to see a smooth operator with charisma oozing from him please react to “Return to Sender” from the movie Girls Girls Girls. Omg!! Him and Ann Margaret do very hot duos on the set of the movie “Viva Las Vegas” (C’mon Everybody 1964) They were soulmates but he already made a promise to marry Pricilla. Ann was like the females version of him. Thank you CV for your very authentic reactions and giving Elvis the love he deserves. His voice is gold and so was his heart ♥️
CV your reaction to Elvis are great, God bless you for keeping his memory alive. He is the GOAT of rock n roll. You must visit Graceland and see the jumpsuits on display. Now react to Polk salad Annie. It is a great performance. Similar to Suspicious Minds. AND DONT MISS ANYTHING!!!
