the album mentioned is REVIVAL. reaction channels spit on him before they even understood the essence of the album.which ignited him and the album KAMIKAZE was created, which shook the entire rap scene.

@@jimmybobsap8729 i get what you're saying but even when he had released his first 3 albums you'd still have to say one of them is his worst. And they're all classics. I think Revival is a great album but it's on the lower half of Eminem's best album. Give it another listen and I think you'll be surprised. Believe, Untouchable, Castle and Arose are some of his best ever work. The rhymesceme on In Your Head. River is a huge hit. I personally love Bad Husband, Offended and Framed as well. It's a solid album imo

From a technical standpoint - Revival was an evolution for EM but understandably jarring to most who were expecting something entirely different. It was a drastic shift and people don’t like change. As well, fans didn’t tend to like EM tracks unless he was angry. (This changed a bit once MTBMB dropped) From a skill / music theory perspective, Revival was a strong entry. It’s simply dismissed because a lot of people shrugged it off.

One of his best - especially the way it was put out.. unannounced and accompanied by a music video that didn’t originally have the warning message at the beginning which has now ruined the shock value of the video. I get it, people with trauma are sensitive.. but that in your face WOW factor it has sends a message right through to the person listening. Plus the whole double entendre you know he’s speaking honest about how he struggles with his own mental health and then the sample… as the undertone for the whole melody is dope!

When Eminem said “I Sold My Soul To Get Em” he means he sacrificed alot in his life to get the Accolades and Grammys in his career like Family Time,Time With His Daughters,Emotional Stress etc. simply to become The Greatest Hip Hop Rapper Of All Time! This is an amazing reaction!! People really didn't like Revival because it was a completely different Eminem. However, I think I really enjoyed it. I would recommend that you check out "Walk on Water" from the revival album now that you've listened to some of the tracks from Kamikaze.

To be fair, it's against the entire mumble rap/trap genre. However, Migos are actually quite respected. Whatever you may think of trap, Migos are the ones that started the trend and came up with the beats everyone copies. I think the song is more towards all the "Lil" copycat rappers lol.

He was referencing his previous album which was 2017’s “Revival”. Critics trashed the album based solely off of the track list. The album hadn’t even been released yet and people were absolutely dogging it. The album you’re listening to now is a surprise album and direct response to the criticism he received to his previous work, alongside his thoughts on what everyone else is bumping (trap music)

The thing is i Watch 1 hour documentary a while ago called hej - If you say something bad, explain why? It ended up i Spent like 30 hours to go through old eminem songs and wrote and breaked down bars. (yea Iam obsessed but Also worked with lyrics and all areas in rap) So it was royce 5'9, crooked, yealawolf, LL kool j, kendrick lamar and moore And they named songs o Maybee heard 1 time. Ive never heard of many of these teqnicues he use. Our that there is rhyme schemes Thats completly impossible. So alot of New songs i didnt paid attention to is dope now Its hard to battle that dude because after you dont know how much you been dissed. Even killshot they said most People missed alot. But it impossible to get if you need to now everything about serial killers (stay awake), our how hamlet wrote hes poetry, our how Mozart did hes stuff, how Stephen King uses tecnical things make it scarier haha 😂 So far did, not all because they said People didnt get. One thing about Eminem, people use to say that he was never talking about anything. He put out Revival and people trashed it because he didn't have rappers on it. Alot of people had problems with the production of the album. Since people made their opinions about the album by seeing the tracklist, every album since has been dropped with no advertisement.

Reaction channels, podcasts, and some folks like Budden, Charlemagne, and others shredded Revival, which came out before this one. I cannot understand why either. Just randomly picking songs to hear the first time.......Need Me, Chloraseptic, River, and Remind Me have hit my playlist instantly. The album he's referring to is "Revival". Not his best album, but there's a lot of great stuff on it. Essentially, people were panning Revival before they ever even heard, it so now Em doesn't announce his album releases they just drop. Kamikaze, the first album after Revival, is Em's full out assault on the music industry because he was sick of being their punching bag. There's a song called "Chloraseptic Remix" (a remix of a track from Revival) that foreshadows how pissed Em was and what was coming on Kamikaze. Check that song out...if you dare ;)
