Eminem literally got me through my teenage years. I had such shitty childhood that when I got to my teenage years I didn’t know what to do with myself and all the feeling I was feeling. When I was 14 I saw this music video on tv and I BARELY spoke English back then but somehow it just did something to me. The beautiful thing about music is that you can interpret it however you want and get what you want out of it and Eminem has so many different types of songs from deep to sad to funny and angry and it just helped me get my emotions out without acting out. It was so great to hear someone put into words how I was feeling. I’m 28 now and just hearing his voice gives me so much nostalgia. He will forever be the GOAT ❤️ I remember once I was riding the subway home from work and I just discovered the song Kim and it was like 11:00pm I had it on blast on my headphones and I was sitting next to an old person and he kept looking at me all upset, I didn’t know what his problem was and after I replayed the song like 3 times he tapped me and said if I could put it down because he can hear everything and when I took off the headphones I realized it was really loud(it was surprisingly quiet in the subway). I was a 17 year old white skinny girl who looked 13 so it was pretty embarrassing lol I bet he thought I was a runaway demon child 😂
