Fairy Tail! Happy to see you returning to it. Since you asked, it has 328 Episodes with 9 standalone episodes and 2 movies. So it is a commitment, but not as much as One Piece or Naruto. And in its core, at least in my opinion, you can compare the vibe of it to slime which you are already watching. Because Fairy Tail has a serious story, but is full of goofy moments and comedy, and every now and then hits you with the feelings. Even now I still return to selected scenes because they are so deep. So yes, I am convinced that you would like it and hopefully you get to it some day.

The snowman thing is a dog(?) named Plue! He shows up in the author's other manga especially in Groove Adventure Rave where he's part of the main cast and accompanying the protagonist. Rave is a nice series too, by the way - there was even an OVA where it crossed over with Fairy Tail. Haha having the last part of the episode's scene being in it can't be helped caused the music stars there. Too bad you get bits of spoilers but hopefully they're not big enough to make things not exciting once you watch it.

LET'S GOOOOOO! The nostalgia hits HARD on this one. Fairy Tail is one of those shows that you hold close to your heart and they end up being those forms of media that, in one way or another, shape parts of you and who you want to be. It's a quite inspirational and comforting show in many ways. One of the best comfort animes imo. 5:30 Absolutely yes, fairy tail breaks people's hearts a LOT throughout its journey. It's a deeply emotional show. But it can also soothe the broken hearts down the line. ''Warm'' is the word i'd pick to describe this show, with it's sad moments, realistic and relatable pains and sufferings, and then the fantasy of having a safe place/safe haven/ a ''found family'' with unconditional love. PS: The Dub sounds awful 😂 No shame to the dub voice actors but they make it sound so damn childish and weird. If you do watch Fairy tail, PLEASE watch the sub. The raw emotions those Japanese voice actors put into their craft create a wholly different and better experience of the show. 26:17 ''it's amazing how an anime can look dark and light hearted at the same time like fairy tail does'', well that sums it up pretty well

Sub vs Dub depends. Fairytail is pretty popular for its dub. Alot of people just don't like dub in general All the voice actors are well known such as Erza, Elfman, Natsu, Gray, Lyon, Wendy and we get quotes that wasn't placed in sub like Mard Geer saying: "If the humans and the king truly share hearts, I'll just have to make them cease their beating. They will share... death" That was dope asf.

I agree with most of what you said, HOWEVER! I do have to disagree with your opinion in regards to the English voice actors. I’m not sure what it’s like for non-English speakers, but for someone who’s first and only language is English. The English Dub cast for Fairy Tail, did a fantastic job and really make me feel like they put their all in bringing these characters to life. While I don’t dislike or hate the Japanese voice actors, I feel (as an English speaker) that the English cast just puts so much love and care into voicing their characters. That for me at least, the English Dub is the better way to enjoy the show if you’re an English speaker. P.s. If you’re curious as to how I came to my conclusions? Try watching the series in English without anything to distract you, so you can better focus and appreciate the care that went into voicing each of the characters. Otherwise if you don’t have the time, effort or patience to watch the entire series in the English Dub. Check out some of the interviews with the English voice actors to hear how much they care/d about their respective characters and the show.

@@Moredistress Nah I'm a native English speaker and I made it exactly five minutes with the dubbed version before switching to sub because Happy's voice grated on my ears so much. I've tried several times to like it and just CAN'T--so many of the voices just don't seem to fit the age or personality of the characters.

I'm done arguing with haters because their hate applies to their favorite shows and every other shonen. All I can say is that EVERY reactor loved this show and doesn't understand the hate for it. You're 100% right about the emotional scenes. They have ALOT and it's REALLY GOOD. Small detail: the power system does give them a small boost the stronger their emotions. The dubbed is well known as good too, you just saw a bad clip 😂

Fairy tail is the only anime I'd put on the level of the big 3 (If you disagree tell me why and I'll let you know why my reason is valid). If you like shonen like the big 3 (especially One Piece), Black Clover (and other magic anime), or Soul Eater then you will LOVE Fairytail It's the MOST over hated anime. People just love to ride the sheep wave. Underserved hate same with my hero academia and black clover

Fairy tail is the second popular serie of the author, the "snowman" is a reference to his first serie (Rave Master). This one is way more extensive than the first one (some fans liked that, others say that it became unnessesarily long) so he could develop several "mini-arcs" with happy and depressing moments in them. Each Op-Ed marks the beginning or end of each "mini-arc", which is why there are so many.

Fairy Tail was really a long and enjoiable journey, I also liked the spin off Edens Zero. If you liked Fairy Tail you most likely wil enjoy this as well. Mashima has actually written multiple manga and Edens Zero is just his most recent. He is notorious for reusing designs though. You'll notice that the main characters of Rave Master, Fairy Tail, and Edens Zero all look almost exactly the same. Some characters like Plue and Happy are directly copied into the other mangas even. Mashima is also rumored to be in talks to start his own Marvel series and he would be doing a male/female main character duo for that as well just like in all his manga series.

I do enjoy trying to spot all the characters that are basically just characters from an earlier series repackaged with a new name and abilities. Like Elsie Crimson and Erza Scarlet, then there's Jellal and Seighart... then plue and plue, and happy and happy...

Fairy Tail was the first anime I ever watched, so it always will hold a special place in my heart. What I love is how it keeps an even balance between being carefree and also slightly dark at times, it doesn’t have a bad song in the entire series, and both dubbed and subbed versions are great, which is rarely the case for most anime’s.

Personally I find both sub and dub good. They’re that rare lucky anime that actually had a pretty decent if not good dub. Also a lot of the voice actors are regulars that you might recognize as the best ones if you listen to some dubs. Both are very good, in the end with Fairy Tail, it lies in which makes you more comfortable

Honestly Fairy Tail is one of the shows that people recommend watching for dub (same with Full Metal Alchemist Brother and Death Note where everyone only watches dub and My Hero Academia which is about 50/50 like Fairy Tail). In general dubs get a lot of underserved hate though. You should watch stuff in whatever way you enjoy it most, whether that's sub or dub. If a strong bond and friendship if appealing to you then Fairy Tail is THE show for you. This show is more about the friendship between the members of the Fairy Tail Guild than anything else. It's part of what makes the show so endearing. It feels like the main character is the guild itself and you get hyped for them like you're a part of the guild yourself.

Fairy Tail is one of the rare anime where the English cast perfectly nail the way the Japanese cast speak/sound(there are others that do so as well, but not for every character). I still think it'd be best to watch it Subbed, but I personally like the Dub as well.

The “Snowman” is actually a dog named Plue. He’s a copy character from one of Hiro Mashima’s previous works (RAVE or Rave Master in the west, specifically the series mascot for that manga). He’s just a spirit creature used for gags or random background things.

👆Fairytail is more of a guild of adventurers then a magic school and there are 8 seasons with 325 episodes I might be off a few. There are 2 movies and 10 extra episodes not shown until later on as like extra stories. They are currently working on a new chapter for the anime as the 100 Year Quest. It’s also an emotional rollercoaster so be prepared.❤

Is it fun and happy or heartbreaking and sad you ask? 🤔🤔 BOTHH!! This anime somehow found a way to be the ultimate serotonin boost while simultaneously making you cry during every emotion scene (and trust me there are a lot of these) As to whether you would enjoy this anime and if you should watch it - 100% yes. It is exactly your cup of tea, you will love this series and its characters/storylines. I hope its your next watch once you finish your current anime!

This was awesome! Although, unless you are watchin Fairy Tail any time sooner, you most likely wont remember any stuff that'll come from the endings. Fairy Tail has a vast number of characters, 22 arcs, and a LOT of lore developments. But Fairy Tail is mostly a cliche and chill fantasy anime with a touch of well-written melodrama, one that most people wanting to start anime can dive into without too much focusing on plot and just basically try to get a gist of the "anime vibes". I would evaluate Fairy Tail as 30% comedy, 25% action, 25% drama/angst , and the 20% rest are the banger OST during fights and emotional scenes! I jammed with you throughout this reaction😂Can't wait for you to watch the rest of the EDs 😆

As for sub vs dub. Both are very good for FT. I give the edge to the dub because they tend to make the comedic bits hit even funnier than sub, and for me at least, the emotional moments are stronger, especially Cherami Leigh as Lucy and Colleen Clinkenbeard as Erza. And I always end up having to rewatch some scenes either to re-read dialogue that disappeared too fast or because I was reading and something happened I missed. This doesn't just apply to FT. I usually watch the dub first and on 2nd viewing watch sub. Unless it's a current airing (like Danmachi) where I'll watch sub and watch dub later. I personally like to get both experiences. Also, I think the ones who are so quick to trash either subs or dubs (although they mostly trash dubs) are being dismissive of the hard work the voice actors of any language are putting in. Many of the American VAs also do Western animation and people think they're just fine or better. Then they do an anime and suddenly they can't do emotions or they aren't any good? That's ridiculous. If they work hard on one type of animation they'll work hard on the other. That's why I try to watch both on the animes I really like and watch more than once. As for the endings in the first half 13, 6, 1, and 11 are my favorites, probably in that order. In the back half, endings 21, 22, and 23 are my top 3 of all the endings and whichever one I'm listening to at the time is usually number 1. I also like "Don't Let Me Down" and "Never Ever." I'm sure there's a couple more I'll think of when you get there. I like others recommended the OSTs. I prefer the sad and emotional ones, but they are all really good. It's really up to you on whether you watch the show or not. It does seem to be getting a bit of a resurgence lately, maybe due to the sequel series doing well enough to be approved for an anime adaptation. I really enjoyed it. I do think you should give it a chance. But I would tell you to give anime I didn't care for a chance as well. Because if you enjoy yourself that's what counts.

Both subs and dubs can have aspects you dislike, like, j just cannot watch black clover and dragonball in sub because the VAs for the main characters just grind on my nerves whenever I hear them, and some dubs are just atrocious on the part of the translators, and it isn't always as funny as the yugioh finger guns or the pokemon jelly doughnuts... mainly its when they start inserting memes and references that will become outdated very quickly due to being about current affairs instead of pop culture. Or sometimes, the voices just don't match the character. Tho that is more of an issue in older series than current ones. Like, I can appreciate the hard work, but that doesn't mean it still can't fail.

@Bethany Brookes that's fine. It doesn't work every time. Like I know Asta's VA struggled at first but I feel he settled into it and did really well. I don't remember how many episodes it took but it wasn't that many I felt. But if you look at the comments on here they claim the English VAs don't try or can't do emotion, etc. But they do it on Western animation and games. I don't think they'd phone it in or they wouldn't keep getting jobs. And yeah there are ones I prefer one over the other. But I try to get both experienced so I can make an informed decision. With FT I prefer dub, but I can watch the sub without issue. Danmachi I lean sub but I can watch the dub. I just get tired of this matter of fastness and smugness that comes out in a lot of these posts. They disrespect the VAs and they look down on people who like dub (and occasionally the other way around). It's the same with manga purists and light novel purists. They know best and we should all bow to their wisdom. Let people decide for themselves and experience it for themselves. Sure say how you view something and give your reasoning. But don't act like it is the only choice to make. And try to do it without insulting what you don't like. Or insulting people who like it. You can criticize without demeaning it. Ah it's late and I'm tired.

11:21 I don't know if you have already react to her songs but my favorite singer/vocalist is Fuki. Her range voice is absolutely outstanding. She's really busy and have so many project, she's the main singer of Doll$Boxx, the singer and one of the leader of Unlucky Morpheus (my favorite band all time), she have some solo project and she have done only one anime song with her project "Fuki Commune" (one of the ed of Kaito Joker). I don't know if it's the best way to discover her but I think the song : Syu with Fuki "Reason", is the best way to understand why she's incredible and such a great singer

Personally I think sub is better for a viewer experience for reactions since it has subtitles. It lets viewers follow along better with whats happening if you need to block part of the screen or mute parts of the video. It also lets you potentially talk over parts of it without making it harder to understand what characters are saying, since we can just read the subtitles.

From these 13, ending 5 and 6 are by far the best. Btw, sub is pretty much always better. The only exception for me is probably Dragon Ball. English dub is really good. Vegeta's voice in particular, fking love it

Fun fact Fairytail is the 2nd our of 3 manga created by same Author ( Hiro Mashima) Yes 1 guy made 3 manga that all got adapted into pretty long anime. Hiro's writing has some significant flaws but the man is a work horse of an artist. Some Mangaka struggle to keep up releasing their work weekly ( usual Schedule in this genre) even with assistance. Hiro SOMEHOW even released two chapters a week & not drop in the quality of art.

If you want to have fun with FT, I’d watch the dub. Not saying the sub isn’t good, but the dub hits those emotional highs pretty well, as well as the comedy.

Fairy Tail's author Mashima has actually written multiple manga and Edens Zero which is currently running as anime is his most recent. While Fairy Tail's anime run is finished at around 330 episodes, he is currently writing a sequel series that picks up where Fairy Tail left off with the same characters called Fairy Tail: 100 Year's Quest and it is confirmed to be getting an anime adaptation as well. He is notorious for reusing designs though. You'll notice that the main characters of Rave Master, Fairy Tail, and Edens Zero all look almost exactly the same. He's also designed characters for many video games which also bear resemblance to his manga characters. Some characters like Plue and Happy are directly copied into the other mangas even. Mashima is also rumored to be in talks with Marvel higher ups to start his own Marvel series and he would be doing a male/female main character duo for that as well just like in all his manga series.

Fairy Tail is quiet a long anime, with some movies and a "spin off" show inbetween. It's totaly worth it though, and I'd definitely be exited to see you react to it some day! :3 The show is having a sort of mini renaissance right now, with more people giving it a shot and re-experiencing it after the show went through years of beeing hated on for no reason (most people where just pissed that it was so popular, so everyone decidet to hate on it instead) Regarding your "sub or dub" question: I personaly prevere sub, so the original japanese dub, but the english dub for Fairy Tail isn't bad. In some of the early episodes it shows that some of the voice actors have to "grow into" their role first, but nothing to major and it get's better the longer the show goes on. This is basically one of the shows where you can somewhat freely pick whatever you prevere. As for fan favorite character, I honestly don't know with 100% confidence? xD Erza (the red haired girl shown in many of the ops and eds) is verry popular, so I'd spontainiously point at her as an answer to that question. But the same can be said about so many other characters of the show. Everyone has sort of their favorites, and their aren't many characters that are really fully "hated" (I think I can count them on one hand. Which is impressive, considering how gigantic the cast of the show is.) Fairy Tail has just generally really great characters!

The Fairy Tail Dub is honestly amazing. I've seen both dub and sub and prefer dub anyday, but you do you. There is 328 episodes. 99% of people who hate on dub does it just because they are sheep who jumps on the bandwagon. That's what my experience is.

I would recommend watching the dub. Both are good, but I have a few reasons for saying that you should watch Fairy Tail dubbed. 1. Most reactors watch sub and I want someone to watch dub for once. 2. The dub handles comedy better and adds some really funny lines. 3. The sub is a bit inconsistent and will sometimes change names randomly. Some sub watchers just insult dubs because they seem to think you can only watch something in the show's original language. Not all sub watchers think like this though, but if they're just blatantly insulting dubs in general then they're biased.

One rule of thumb about how many episodes an anime have, it is normally around 15 episodes per opening/ending. Obviously there are exceptions. That happens because that is the amount of episodes released in each season.

That first song is by Wtatrirouka Hashiritai. They were a sub group of AKB48. If like that song, you should check out some AKB48 song from the late 2000s and early 2010s or Watanabe Mayu's solo songs. She was the center for Watarirouka Hashiritai.

Wow, I am getting mad on behalf of you bc of the number of spoilers that the end of those episodes were revealing for you! Hopefully, if you do decide to watch the show, you'll have forgotten about those spoilers by then! Oh... but, if you do not want to cry, I would not recommend "Fairy Tail." I lost count of how many times I ugly cried watching this damn show! Like, straight-up gross sobbing! It's the characters!! You get so invested in them and their amazing bond of friendship. The comradery will get you choked up each time! I loved watching "Fairy Tail" from start to finish, and although the filler episodes were a lot to watch, it was never a boring time. It is a hella long series, though, so be prepared for the long haul with this one... but man, if you do ever start this show, you will not regret it. I personally think that this show only got better with every season that passed. Thanks for the reaction and yes, I was super happy to know that you ended up liking all of my favorite ending themes too! - Be As One by w-inds. - Don't think. it's a fun happy silly one with cool fights and occasional emotional moments. while some of these emotional parts can deliver a punch it's not every other episode usually once or twice per arc which both makes the show much lighter and the emotional scenes heavier. The most I like about fairytail is that supporting characters arent background characters they're often given backstories and moments of spotlight to shine including the bad guys.

NO dude watch the dub. Almost every characters voice is perfect. The Japanese is awesome in its own right, however, I highly recommend the English for fairy tail. It gets you connected to characters like Bickslow and Makarov really quickly
