It doesn't hurt me and Robin was my hero and mentor. Nice Peter and Epic Lloyd treated Robin With kids gloves. If you look at all the other people they have gone after, you can really see that Peter and Llyod really did care for Robin. They had to reference Robin's suicide, but they did it in such a way that if you know the facts of what happened to Robin and why he did what he did, he really did set himself free. It is sad that we lost Robin. He was a mentor for a LOT of people and showed us how to be an adult. I will always miss him. But remember that he did leave a legacy in his TV and movies for us. And more importantly, he left a legacy with his kids.

Wilder than Gene is referring to Gene Wilder. Pryor and Wilder did several films together. I'm pretty sure the boxing references are just standard battle flexes. Pryor's "Even the shit that I spit off the top. Flames" Is referring to when he got high and accidentally lit himself on fire. Hannibal Burress is a comedian. He was the first to speak out about the things Cosby was doing. Rufus is the character Carlin played in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

"Brain Droppings" is the name of George's Book Haircut debacle (i think) is talking about the transition in the 1960's when Carlin started his change from a 'regular' comedian to what we know now. "Hey Hey Hey", just before Cos joined in... From fat albert "Hey hey hey" Chocolate Cake & Dentist are two of Cos routines (which he has a lip/talk issue during the dentist one) You were right the first time about the pudding, that was Cosby, don not second guess yourself on a correct answer :> Good morning movie bombs: Good morning Vietnam, also reminding everyone that all the others bombed fairly often in the movies (would disagree Prior did well with Gene Wilder), and later he names many of the good movies which strengthens his initial line Comic Relief: Comedy special to get money to fight poverty Mork/Nanu Nanu: His break in role into television was Mork and Mindy, where his 'greating' is Nanu Nanu (he first appeared as Mork in Happy Days season 5ish) Saw you got the 'bumps' reference but did not comment on it "Set myself free" is a double for how he left life Joan had the strongest lines (agree) and originally was the end, they added Williams afterwords (and won emotionally).

the line "non stopping brain droppings" is a reference to a book George wrote called "Brain Droppings" which was just full of his witty quips and ballsy bits. One of my favorite books of all time, as someone who loves literature *and* comedy, that is. Also, "I'm wilder than Gene when I'm killing the beat" is a reference to the comedy legend that is Gene Wilder. His most well known role was Willy Wonka in 1971's "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory," the OG movie, not the Johnny Depp iteration. Then the "let me move on to Rufus" line from Joan Rivers is in reference to the character George played in "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" whose name was indeed Rufus. When Robin said "80 years old but that nose looks brand Nanu Nanu" is in reference to the show Mork and Mindy, where Williams played one of the titular characters, Mork. "Nanu Nanu" was a greeting that his people (the alien race) used.

You definitely missed the Robin Williams references, "Mork is Work backwards" & "Nanu Nanu" which are direct references to one of his earliest Tv roles as Mork from the hit show "Mork and Mindy" that aired during the early 1980's. It was like a modern (for that time period) version of the show "My Favorite Martian" that aired during the late 60's to mid 70's. Also one of my favorites growing up.

If you ever have time to rewatch any of these multiple-guest ERBs take careful note of the last line (or two) before each new entrance. Usually the entrance is in response to, or hinted by, this previous line. In this case, Richard Pryor claimed to be the most iconic African-American stand-up comic, which is refuted by the line "You forgot the Cos". There is always some sort of link to draw in the next character.

If this was real, then my vote would be Robin Williams. That man's brain worked so fast, and his ability to improvise on the fly is off the charts. "Robin Williams at the Met" was over 2 hours of stand up comedy by less than 45 minutes of it was scripted - the rest was improvised
@timrob12

Disney apparently used the same technique for the genie, letting Robin Williams do one recording of the line as it was scripted (just for safety) and then let him improvise all the other takes.

The Richard Pryor Boxing reference I think refers to the Richard Pryor vs Muhammad Ali benefit event - LA, 1978. Wilder than Gene - Gene Wilder reference. They may be referencing the movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory Starring Gene Wilder, classified as a musical, where Gene Wilder sang a lot, and was regarded as not a good singer? (He is most notably a comedian & actor, but not so much a singer) Richard Pryor & George Carlin were comedians of the same era. Yes, Richard Pryor was one of the 1st successful black stand up comedians in a mostly white male-dominated industry. Bill Cosby - had an endorsement with JELLO, specifically for their Jello pudding, then pudding pops. The reference to Bill Cosby & Drugs is - "In his testimony, Cosby admitted to casual sex involving recreational use of the sedative-hypnotic methaqualone (Quaaludes) with a series of young women, and he acknowledged that his dispensing the prescription drug was illegal" Hannibal Burress - Black comedic actor. They are most likely referencing that he prematurely left "The Eric Andre Show" (In an interview with Vanity Fair, Eric actually revealed that Hannibal hadn't wanted to be part of the new season at all - in fact, he had to convince his friend to say goodbye to the viewers on camera!) - 2020 "Rufus" reference is the character George Carlin played (a mentor) in the Bill & Ted movie series. I think the reason these 4 comedians are battling is because of this - "In a celebration of standup comedy, Netflix launched the Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival... The Hall was made to induct the first four greats of standup: George Carlin, Joan Rivers, Robin Williams, and Richard Pryor." hellgatelance.com/5678/arts-entertainment/the-hall-is-a-touching-tribute-to-stand-up-comedy/

Cosby's 'What's wrong with my lip' is a bit from his routine talking about a dental visit when he was a kid. IIRC he has one other similar 'drugged' story as part of his repertoire. So it wasn't in itself directly a reference to THAT but...in retrospect that he has two stories about that sort of thing he liked to tell....well, "If I had a nickel for every time, etc." 2 isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice considering...THAT.

The 1962 thing is because George Carlin went to either prison or jail, that year, and ever since, his comedy style was darker, whereas before that he was really family-friendly. And the movie Jumanji was one of my least favorite Robin Williams movies, but not because it was bad. It’s because I saw it when I was 5-6 and it caused me to develop crippling arachnophobia.
